Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Begonia plant named ‘77VR Rose Red’ characterized by having a definite and distinct flower fragrance that can be described as sweet and lingering but subtle and not overpowering. It is often compared to the scent of a fragrant rose bloom. The fragrance is most pronounced when the temperature is between 65° and 80° F. Male flowers are fully double and do not produce pollen or male reproductive parts under normal growing conditions. The cultivar ‘77VR Rose Red’ has a full and semi-pendulous plant habit with numerous flower shoots (4-6 or more). Each flowering shoot will produce anywhere from 4-6 peduncles with 1 or 2 male flowers on each during the growing season.

Abstract: ‘Gem Star’ is a new and distinct short-day cultivar of strawberry plant, which produces large ,nice shape ,very glossy and good flavor fruits. Compare to ‘Chandler’, ‘Gem Star’ produces more consistent conic to long conic fruit shape, larger primary fruit and the color is lighter red. ‘Gem Star’ is a vigorous plant, anthracnose crown rot tolerant, early production, high yield, easy to harvest and good flavor. This variety is adapted to growing in the major fruit production areas of the Southeastern United States.

Abstract: A new cultivar of Datura plant named ‘Reverend Schusler’ characterized and distinguished from other Daturas by its uniquely colored foliage consisting of creamy yellow, yellow-white, grey-green and dark green patches with purplish coloration on the underside of the new growth (during cooler weather), the variegation extending to the sepals of the flowers, and the ovary, resulting in the fruit being white, yellow and green variegated; foliage and fruit being borne on purplish, tomentose stems, the sweetly fragrant flowers being a light lavender in color when young turning white as they mature.

Abstract: A reciprocating saw including a housing, a spindle mounted for reciprocating motion within the housing, a gear rotatably mounted within the housing, a wobble shaft rotatably mounted within the housing, a wobble plate rotatably mounted on the wobble shaft and connected to the spindle, and a clutch drivingly connecting the gear to the wobble shaft. The clutch includes a clutch driver rotatably positioned within the housing adjacent the wobble shaft, and the clutch driver includes a recess for insertably receiving a portion of the wobble shaft. The clutch driver can also include a relief ledge for providing clearance between the clutch driver and the wobble plate. The clutch can further include a first clutch disk connected with the gear and positioned between the gear and the clutch driver, and a second clutch disk connected with the clutch driver and positioned between the gear and the first clutch disk.

Abstract: A method for mounting safety shields onto eyeglass temples and a kit for carrying out that method. A temple of an eyeglass frame is placed in a channel forming part of a side shield thereafter, a screw is inserted into an opening formed in the side shield and into a member affixed to the temple to create a fastened fit between the temple and the channel which attaches the side shield to the temple. The side shield is placed in its operative position before the screw is inserted into the opening and the fastened fit results from the insertion of the screw into the opening and member which holds the side shield in its operative position. The kit includes a side shield having a longitudinally extending channel into which a longitudinally extending eyeglass temple may be inserted. The channel has an open lateral end through which the temple may be inserted and a supporting lateral end against which the temple may be supported.

Abstract: A damperless, controlled speed, coverless, isometric air conveyor and method for conveying lightweight containers en masse or individually at a controlled speed includes a first set of louvers extending through a conveyor surface from a common plenum at an incline to a conveying surface so that the air passing through the louvers has a downstream force vector of a first magnitude. A second set of louvers extend through the conveyor surface from the common plenum at an incline to the conveyor surface so that the air passing through the louvers has an upstream force vector of a second magnitude which is less than the first magnitude thereby creating a vector force differential in the downstream direction at any given location under the bottom of each container to cause movement of the containers in the downstream direction.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a costume having semi-rigid costume components, and the costume itself. The semi-rigid costume components are capable of being sewn to fabric to form an integrated costume. An embodiment is shown in which the costume includes a semi-rigid muscular torso suitable for a superhero chestpiece. The sewn rigid component is formed from fusing a layer of fabric to a layer of foam and the resulting laminate is vacuum molded into a three-dimensional shape.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions containing an iron complex of 3-hydroxy-4-pyrone or of a 3-hydroxy-4-pyrone in which one or more of the hydrogen atoms attached to ring carbon atoms are replaced by an aliphatic hydrocarbon group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, are of value for the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia.

Abstract: A palm and wrist protector for bicycling and other activities requiring hand and wrist protection. A pad of resilient material covers an area of the hand including the base of the thenar eminence, the saddle between the thumb and forefinger, the distal portion of the palm below the base of the fingers, the ulnar side of the palm, and the wrist crease. The pad includes a tubular section that encircles and protects a proximal portion of the wearer's forefinger. An elastic retaining strap holds the protective pad against the palm while allowing the lower edge of the pad to move freely across the wrist during the side to side movement of the hand. In one embodiment, the pad is a laminate construction that includes a pressure distribution plate sandwiched between two coextensive layers of resilient material that are mated together.

Abstract: A perspiration shield takes the form of a multi-layered sheet that is shaped and sized to be placed between adjacent or opposing skin surfaces, such as under the breast, to prevent and absorb perspiration. The multi-layered sheet has an absorbent layer forming one surface of the shield and a silicone gel layer forming another surface of the shield. The silicone gel layer has a soft, tacky texture and readily adheres to the skin but leaves no perceptible residue on the skin when removed. The silicone gel layer closes the pores of the skin with which the layer is in contact, thereby reducing or preventing perspiration from these pores. The absorbent layer absorbs perspiration from the pores of the skin adjacent and opposing the skin surface to which the silicon gel layer is attached and is formed of a material that readily absorbs moisture.

The garment comprises a torso portion, and two arm portions integrally coupled to the torso portion. The garment has a neck opening therein. The garment has a skirt portion integrally coupled to and extending away from the torso portion. The skirt portion has a circumference at least one and half times the circumference of the torso portion. The garment comprising a substantially water impermeable material. The skirt portion may be placed over the outside surface of a fishing floatation device.

Abstract: The present invention is a combination tent and rain cape. It consists of a square, waterproof tarp and a breathable triangular sheet. A hood, straps, and fasteners are attached to the top side of the tarp along a diagonal. If the tarp is folded along this diagonal, and the hood placed on the users head, the tarp can be worn as a rain cape. On the bottom side of the tarp, there are fasteners attached to two adjacent edges of the square tarp. These mate with fasteners on the triangular sheet creating the tent. The tent can then be pitched by tying only one end to an elevated support such as a tree and staking the other corners out.

The interior surface receives the head of a user therein. The head portion has a peripheral edge. An annular brim portion is coupled with the head portion. The annular brim portion has an upper peripheral edge and a lower peripheral edge. The upper peripheral edge is secured to the peripheral edge of the head portion. The annular brim portion is arcuate whereby the lower peripheral edge is disposed in a lower plane than the upper peripheral edge. The annular brim portion has a plurality of air vents disposed therein in a spaced relationship.

Abstract: A disposable rain hood for displaying from a display stand comprising a pair of opposing flaps, the flaps attached to one another substantially along respective upper edges thereof, the flaps further attached to one another substantially along respective rear edges thereof, the upper and rear edge attachments providing a rain-impermeable barrier along the upper and the rear edges of the disposable rain hood, and the disposable rain hood having a substantially open front edge and a substantially open lower edge for receiving a head and torso of a user. A head stop is preferably provided for properly positioning the head of the user in the disposable rain hood. Each of the opposing flaps of the disposable rain hood is preferably provided with at least one hole, the holes being position for use in holding the front edges of the hood together.

The strap is constructed with an adjustment mechanism that enables it to be easily adjusted around the head of wearer with just one hand. Abstract: A toilet bowl fluid dispensing system including a container, positioned within a toilet tank adjacent to an inlet water tube and a bowl refill tube. The bowl refill tube includes a tubular line coupling the inlet water tube and the container. The container contains threads adjacent to the upper extent. The system also includes a lid having threads adjacent to the lower extent thereof adapted to separably couple to the threads of the container. The lid also includes an inlet opening adapted to receive water from the water inlet tube for providing supplemental water to the container lid upon flushing. The lid is shaped to have a hollow member coupling to the top of the bowl refill tube for providing a positioning support to the lid and container.

A plurality of folding legs are connected to the bottom base surface. The seat unit includes a seat ring. The top base surface includes a bag ring reception groove for receiving the top portion of a bag holder. A sealing or clamping member attaches the bag holder to the base unit underneath the seat ring. A disposable bag for collecting human waste is adapted to be supported in the bag holder in proximity to the seat ring and the seat unit. The folding legs include a front leg and a pair of rears. Each of the front leg and the rear legs includes a leg hinge portion which is received in a complimentary leg hinge reception portion in the base unit. A top cover is provided for connection to the base unit. The top cover includes top cover lock tabs, and the base unit includes lock tab reception slots for receiving the top cover lock tabs.

Abstract: The present invention entails a prefabricated safety device and method for installing the device in any swimming pool and that is capable of eliminating dangerous vacuum pressure created in the main drain line of a pool when an object or person becomes trapped against the drain or other suction line inlet of a swimming pool recirculating pump system. The vacuum elimination safety device is prefabricated and is a complete kit (unit) that can easily be installed directly onto the main drain suction line of any swimming pool recirculating pump system.

Abstract: A bathtub splash guard assembly for keeping water inside the bathtub includes a sheet member with a plurality of substantially rigid rod members. Each rod member is coupled to the sheet member in spaced relationship to each other. In addition there is a plurality of sheet connection members coupled along a bottom edge of the sheet member. The sheet member is adapted for coupling to a bathtub wall so that the rod members hold the sheet member in a generally upright position for preventing water in the bathtub from splashing over an edge of the bathtub.

A position-detecting switch subassembly mounted on the housing engages the control element and a proximity detector has a detection field adjacent the outlet. A controller connected to the proximity detector, to the switch subassembly, and to the servovalve serves in the closed position of the element for deactivating the detector and closing the servovalve. In the middle position of the element the controller opens the servovalve on detection of an object in the field of the proximity detector. In the open position of the element the controller disables the detector and opens the servovalve.

The first draining device drains into the first, upstream sanitary trap and then into the second, downstream sanitary trap, and a second draining device drains into the second, downstream sanitary trap. Noise, which is caused by the draining of the second draining device and which emanates from the first draining device is thereby reduced.

Abstract: An improved hidden drain outlet structure for sink includes a drain pipe, a drain head screwed to the drain pipe at an upper end thereof and a filter movably screwed to the drain head. The filter may trap and collect external articles and garbage to prevent the drain pipe from clogging, and may be disassembled easily for repairs. The drain head and filter form a double curve-shaped top surface with a converged valley to facilitate water discharging and form a sturdy and safe construction and has aesthetic appearance.

The attaching structure includes a reinforced beaded edge and an attaching structure cooperating with the mantle to form a pocket accommodating a transfer bar. The reinforcing structure includes stitching disposed generally diagonally in the mantle and reinforcing fibers present in the material of the mantle. A method of using the pliable underlayment to transfer or reposition a patient is also provided.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a patient support apparatus includes a frame, a patient support deck coupled to the frame, a tray positioned below the patient support deck for supporting an x-ray cassette, and a lifting apparatus for lifting the tray toward the patient support deck. The lifting apparatus includes a shiftable member supported for translation relative to the frame in a longitudinal direction. A pair of links are coupled to the shiftable member. A first link of the pair of links has a first end pivotally coupled to the tray and a second end pivotally coupled to the shiftable member. A second link of the pair of links has a first end pivotally coupled to the frame and a second end pivotally coupled to the shiftable member. A handle is coupled to the frame for translating the shiftable member in the longitudinal direction to spread apart the links and lift the tray.

A lever is pivotally connected to the handle and a link device is connected between the lever and the sponge. A sphere is connected to the handle and rotatably obtained in a neck on the frame so that the handle is positioned at angle relative to the frame. Each squeezing member has an extension extending in a direction away from the sponge so that when the squeezing members are rotated to squeeze the sponge, the extensions squeeze the lower portion of the sponge to remove water in the sponge.

Abstract: The invention provides a two-way protecting guard for a vacuum cleaner bumper that picks up magnetic metal objects in rugs or carpets prior to such objects entering the vacuum cleaner housing and that prevents damage to furniture and other objects from contact with the vacuum cleaner. The guard of the present invention covers the front and sides of the vacuum cleaner housing, while leaving the top of the housing open or easily accessible. The guard is made of a durable outer covering and contains, disposed within the outer covering, a magnet and padding. The bumper can be secured to the vacuum cleaner by a strap that can be removably fastened to the bumper, or alternatively the bumper can be directly affixed to the vacuum cleaner housing with an adhesive.

Abstract: An upright vacuum cleaner includes an upright housing section and a nozzle base section. A cyclonic airflow dirt and dust separating chamber is defined in the upright housing section. A suction source pulls air and entrained dirt, dust, and other contaminants through a main suction opening formed in the underside of the nozzle base section and into the cyclonic airflow chamber. The cyclonic airflow chamber causes the suction airstream to travel in a cyclonic path such that the entrained contaminants are separated therefrom and deposited into a dirt container that defines the chamber. A main filter element filters residual contaminants from the suction airstream between the chamber and the suction source. An exhaust filter housing includes an airstream suction duct in fluid communication with an outlet of the airflow chamber and an inlet of the suction source. An outlet of the suction source is in fluid communication with an exhaust plenum of the exhaust filter housing.

When the clamp fits on the body panel, a fit-on sound and consciousness of a return of the locking blade portion to the original state are generated. In the clamp, an increase of an insertion force that is generated by increasing a hardness of the clamp is offset by increasing a height of a projection portion with respect to a substrate portion and decreasing an angle of the locking blade portion formed by turning down a front end of the projection portion to decrease a projection amount of the locking blade portion in a lateral direction thereof.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a multiple-element acoustic probe including piezoelectric transducers and an array of interconnections connecting the transducers to an electronic signal processing and control device. The probe also includes a continuous ground electrode integrated between the transducers and the acoustic matching elements, facing the piezoelectric transducers, the acoustic matching elements being totally uncoupled from one another mechanically. This probe may be used in medical imaging or underwater imaging.

Abstract: A clip disk assembly according to the invention includes an adapter hub which attaches to the motor of an existing crimping machine and a plurality of clip disks, each being removably attachable to the adapter hub. Each clip disk is provided with a different sized peripheral notches to accommodate a different sized eyelet. According to the presently preferred embodiment, the adapter hub has four threaded peripheral studs and the clip disks have four corresponding holes. Four wing nuts are used to removably attach the clip disks to the adapter hub. Preferably, one stud has a larger boss than the others and one hole in the clip disks is correspondingly larger. The assembly permits changing of clip disks in about one minute.

Abstract: A handheld installation tool for installing and removing vinyl and plastic resilient bumper inserts into the channels of gunnel rails on the sides of boats, motorhomes, and the like, as well as on the sides of tables, walls and shelves. The gunnel rail insert or the rub rail insert is placed in the handheld tool and is mechanically advanced while the tool is placed about and abuts against the gunnel rail channel. The tool has a single elongated handle on one end. On the opposite end is a pair of wheels that is positioned to run about the sides of the gunnel rail channels with a rear portion of the wheels abutting against the channels at a tilted angle of approximately 30 degrees to the channel. After the tool passes over the gunnel rails/rub rails, portions of the insert material strip expand into inside lip portions of the gunnel rail/rub rails locking the strip material in place.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a pair of smooth linear rods joined at one end by a coil spring or elastic cord so as to be mutually supportive at the joined end. The free end of the rods is prepared for engaging a tire mounting stud or mounting bolt hole. With the rods engaged through adjacent mounting holes in the spare tire and with the free ends of the rods engaged with the wheel hub, the rods may be used to lever the tire off the ground and then to slide it into place against the wheel hub where it may easily be fixed prior to removal of the apparatus.

An opening (43) is formed at a clamp portion (9) holding a code (10) behind a metal casing (8). The proximity sensor (1) is held at a low pressure, and resin is supplied through the opening (43) at the clamp portion (9), whereby the casing can be filled with the resin in a short time.

Abstract: The resent disclosure relates to an inductance element and its preparation method. The inductance element comprises a coil structure, an insulation layer, a conductive metal layer and a metal core layer. The preparation method comprises, preparation of a coil structure, applying an insulation material on said coil structure to fix said coil structure, applying a conductive metal layer to form a multiple-layered core structure. In the preparation of the multiple-layered core structure, an intermittent plating approach is adopted, such that the cross-sectional area of the magnetic circuit may be increased. The coil structure applicable to this invention includes one prepared on a printed circuit board or a winded enameled wire coil structure. When a group of two coils is prepared, the inductance element may function as a transformer.

Abstract: A method for assembling a magnetic head assembly with a slider and a magnetic head including forming, on a slider supporting member, a terminal connected to a magnetic head terminal. In addition, the method includes fixing a head slider on the slider supporting member so that the head terminal faces the terminal of the slider supporting member and contacting a conductive ball member to both of the head terminal and the terminal of the slider supporting member. Furthermore, the method includes pressing the ball member to bond the head terminal with the terminal of the slider supporting member so that the ball member connects the terminals electrically and mechanically.
