Publication number: 20020032972Abstract: This invention relates to a vacuum processing apparatus having vacuum processing chambers the insides of which must be dry cleaned, and to a method of operating such an apparatus. When the vacuum processing chambers are dry-cleaned, dummy substrates are transferred into the vacuum processing chamber by substrates conveyor means from dummy substrate storage means which is disposed in the air atmosphere together with storage means for storing substrates to be processed, and the inside of the vacuum processing chamber is dry-cleaned by generating a plasma. The dummy substrate is returned to the dummy substrate storage means after dry cleaning is completed. Accordingly, any specific mechanism for only the cleaning purpose is not necessary and the construction of the apparatus can be made simple.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Inventors: Shigekazu Kato, Kouji Nishihata, Tsunehiko Tsubone, Atsushi Ito

Publication number: 20020032981Abstract: A clustered creature exterminating method exterminating clustered creature such as cyanobacteria in large quantity. The clustered creature exterminating method includes the steps of: pressurizing a fluid containing a clustered creature such as cyanobacteria through a pump; suddenly lowering the pressure applied to the fluid by injecting the fluid from nozzle groups; and destroying a bonding in the clustered creature by a cavitation caused by the pressure drop. The nozzle groups may be arranged so as to oppose with each other to collide the injected fluids with each other, which allows the cyanobacteria to be divided into many small pieces. Publication number: 20020032998Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for improving the connection between a building panel and a foundation. The improved connection is made possible by a unique form assembly that includes a trough assembly and a novel means for adequately supporting the trough assembly while the concrete is poured. The trough assembly creates a trough, which is an elongated hollow notch at the top of the foundation that resembles the shape of the trough assembly. Thus, the trough assembly is designed such that its width is approximately equal to the width of the building panel. The trough assembly also includes an angle iron affixed to the top of its sides. The trough assembly provides the building panel an elongated hollow groove having angle irons on each side. The prefabricated panel is therefor affixed to the angle irons. Placing the prefabricated panel in the foundation in such a manner and affixing it to the angle irons provides the panel with improved lateral and horizontal support.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Inventor: Frederick Morello

The apparatus comprises filter units (13, 14), a fuel injection nozzle (31) and an ignition device (32). The filter units (13, 14) consist of porous ceramic partitions (21, 22) that form a plurality of narrow paths (23, 24) extending in the direction of a flow of the exhaust gas. The porous ceramic partitions (21, 22) capture the fine particles contained in the exhaust gas when the exhaust gas is introduced into one side and exhausted from the other side of each path (23, 24). The fuel injection nozzle (31) injects a fuel into exhaust gas intake portions of the filter units (13, 14).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Inventor: Yasushi Kudoh

Publication number: 20020033012Abstract: A method and apparatus for the simultaneous centralized controlled adjustment of the braking force of yarn brakes of a plurality of twist spindles of a two-for-one twisting machine are provided, whereby each twist spindle is of the type having, in its hollow shaft, a yarn brake supported between two brake rings with one of the brake rings being rotatable in response to a downward axial pressure thereon in a manner such that the brake ring undergoes a discrete axial displacement to a new axial position. A support frame to which yarn balloon guides are mounted exerts a downward axial force such that the yarn balloon guides simultaneously exert downward axial pressure on the yarn intake conduits of the twist spindles which, in turn, effects axial displacement of the rotatable and axially adjustable brake ring on the yarn intake conduit of each twist spindle into new axial positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Applicant: Volkmann GmbHInventor: Heinz W. Publication number: 20020033016Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reducing harmful and toxic exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine which comprises at least one cylinder to which an air/fuel mixture is supplied when a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is rotated. The methods comprises supplying an air/fuel mixture with a lambda value greater than one to the cylinder, and controlling the pressure in the intake channel by an electric motor/generator coupled to the crankshaft, so that when the pressure in the intake channel exceeds a predetermined pressure, the electric motor/generator is controlled in such a way that the pressure in the intake channel can decrease, and when the pressure in the intake channel falls below a predetermined pressure, the electric motor/generator is controlled in such a way that the pressure in the intake channel can increase.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Inventors: Goran Almkvist, Krister Fredriksson

Publication number: 20020033018Abstract: A partitioning member for dividing a connecting pipe into at least two exhaust passageways is provided in the connecting pipe, which is attached to an exhaust side of a silencer. A valve mechanism is operable to vary the passageway area of one of the exhaust passageways. With this structure, for example, when an engine is rotating at low revs, exhaust gas is discharged from the exhaust passageway without the valve mechanism, while when the engine is rotating at high revs exhaust gas is simultaneously discharged from the exhaust passageway having no valve mechanism and a passageway provided with the valve mechanism. Therefore, it is possible to reduce exhaust noise when the engine is rotating at low revs.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2001Publication date: March 21, 2002Applicant: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Mikio Sagara, Noritoshi Iwase, Kazuo Yamamoto, Masakazu Kadota, Hideo Koide, Yoshiaki Nakashima, Shinji Goto, Hiroaki Tsukui, Osamu Bunya
