Abstract: A new and distinct variety for Ground Cover Rose plant is provided which forms substantially continuously throughout the season attractive long-lasting bright yellow blossoms. The blossoms open on a reliable bases and retain their attractiveness upon aging. The new variety exhibits a compact, spreading and overhanging growth habit that renders it suitable for growing as attractive ornamentation in the landscape. The foilage is glossy and dark green and contrasts well with the bright yellow blossoms. The blossom petals detach cleanly as the blossoms mature. The new variety propagates well by the use of cuttings, and by budding and grafting. Excellent resistance to Blackspot, Powdery Mildew, and Rust is exhibited.

Abstract: A new cultivar of Dianthus named ‘Valda Kitty’ that is characterized by double, crimson red flowers, a compact habit and gray-green foliage. In combination these traits set ‘Valda Kitty’ apart from all other existing varieties of Dianthus known to the inventor.
Abstract: A new and distinct Chrysanthemum plant variety characterized by a decorative type inflorescence, consistent flowering response to short days, blooming consistently after 49 days of short day length, free branching habit, white ray florets, very uniform round growth habit, and a large quantity of blooms per flowering branch.
Abstract: This new and distinct variety of cooking banana plant has both Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana in its pedigree. Its Latin name is Musa acuminata×balbisiana group AAB. AA representing two genomes of M. acuminata and B representing one genome of M. balbisiana. It has the following unique combination of desirable features:
1. A high level of resistance to Mycosphaerella fijiensis, causal fungus of the black Sigatoka leaf spot disease.
2. A dwarf plant height that enables it to withstand strong winds.
3. A strong root system which makes it a hardy plant under marginal water and soil conditions.
4. Large bunch sizes that are frequently greater than 45.0 kg.
5. Green fruit has a very good flavor and texture when boiled (as thick slices) or fried (as thin slices).
6. Green fruit that is easy to peel and exudes very little latex when peeled.
7. Harvested mature green fruit that has a long green life.

Abstract: A new and distinct Impatiens plant named ‘HGI-1068-1’ characterized by having a typical compact growth, small flowers and an intense orange flower color.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Delosperma plant named ‘Kelaidis’, characterized by its compact, prostrate and spreading plant habit; freely branching growth habit, dense and bushy growth habit; light pink-colored flowers; and excellent garden performance.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Rosa plant named ‘Chewpearl’ that is characterized by upright, columnar growth habit, small glossy, dark green leaves, small satin-pink flowers and a long blooming period. In combination these traits set ‘Chewpearl’ apart from all other existing varieties of Rosa known to the inventor.
Abstract: An elongated mattress core for a mattress structure includes a foam core having an upwardly-facing top surface, a bottom surface spaced apart from the top surface, and first and second elongated sides connecting the top and bottom surfaces. The foam core is formed to include a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart transverse slits extending downwardly from the top surface. Each slit terminates at a lower end spaced apart from the bottom surface by a first distance and extending transversely from a first slit end spaced apart from the first side of the foam core to a second slit end spaced apart from the second side of the foam core. Each adjacent pair of slits defines a foam column so that the foam core has a plurality of longitudinally spaced apart and transversely extending foam columns. Each foam column has a pair of generally vertical column side walls defining the slits.

Abstract: A cut resistant yarn suitable for wrapping with an additional yarn covering. The cut resistant support yarn includes a core including only a first cut resistant strand, a second cut resistant strand wrapped in a clockwise direction around the core, and a third cut resistant strand wrapped in a counter clockwise direction around the core. One of the second and third cut strands forms an inner covering surrounding only core, and only other of the second only and third cut resistant strands forms an outer covering surrounding the core and the inner covering.
Abstract: A universal financial data card for compiling and storing financial transaction records pertaining to a plurality of financial accounts. The financial transaction records are compiled from financial transaction data communicated between the universal financial data card and a card reader. The universal financial data card includes a memory circuit for storing holder data pertaining to a holder of the universal financial data card. The memory circuit further stores account data pertaining to the plurality of financial accounts and the financial transaction records pertaining to the plurality of financial accounts. Further, the universal financial data card includes a processor coupled to the memory circuit. There is also provided a data exchange circuit coupled to the processor.
Abstract: A method for linearizing the sensitivity of a quadrupole mass spectrometric system to allow the sensor to more accurately report partial pressures of a gas in high pressure areas in which the reported data is effected by a number of loss mechanisms. According to the invention, correction factors can be applied empirically or software in a quadrupole mass analyzer system can be equipped with correcting software to expand the useful range of the mass spectrometer.
Abstract: A thermal printing apparatus 41 that can transfer a colorant from a moving ribbon 66 onto printable areas 140a, 140b of a thermal print receptive sheeting 46. The apparatus 41 includes a thermal print head 44, a transport, a mechanism that can move the thermal print head 44 in a second direction x, a ribbon travel mechanism that is capable of supporting a ribbon 66, and a mechanism that allows colorant to be transferred to a thermal print receptive sheeting 46 while the ribbon travel mechanism is in operation and while the thermal print head 44 is moving in the second direction x. The ribbon 66 and the thermal print head 44 are in motion while the indicia is being printed on the thermal print receptive sheeting. The thermal print head 44 is elongate, has a length L of at least one centimeter, and extends substantially in a first direction y.
Abstract: Dual interleaved DC to DC switching circuits realizable in an integrated circuit form, capable of monitoring individual inductor current using only one current sense resistor and providing automatic duty cycle adjustment to keep the inductor currents in the interleaved DC to DC switching circuits balanced. The preferred embodiment includes a gain error amplifier, an integral error amplifier, and a differentiator error amplifier and circuits for controlling the nominal duty cycle, with the gain error amplifier, integral error amplifier and differentiator error amplifier being adjustable independently by external components. The circuit further includes a high speed load regulation circuit that momentarily overrides the control circuitry to take over control of the interleaved converters during sudden load changes, such control also being programmable.
Abstract: The present invention are dry-feel emollient compositions comprising jojoba oil based esters that have use in personal care, cosmetic, cosmaceutical and pharmaceutical products. These compositions are essentially solid at room temperature, can be provided in various shapes and sizes (especially as particulates such as spheres), and can be produced from combinations of fatty alcohols, isopropyl esters and wax esters obtained from the oil contained in the seed of the jojoba plant. These new compositions also increase the range of applications for cosmetic compositions through an emollient that is more polar and hydrophilic than is found in jojoba oils. The compositions of the present invention may be obtained by a novel process of a base catalyzed alcoholysis reaction between jojoba oil and an alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol.
Abstract: An aircraft entertainment system employing a hybrid video distribution system that permits distribution of direct broadcast satellite television programming to passengers of the aircraft. The aircraft entertainment system has a video control center 11, a plurality of groups of set display units 40, and a plurality of audio and video processors 20 that control routing of programming to each seat display unit. A plurality of seat junction boxes 30 may be interposed between the audio and video processors 20 and the groups of seat display units 40. An antenna 12 is receives programming from a satellite, and a splitter 13 generates a plurality of channels of programming received by the antenna 12. A decoder 14 decodes the channels to provide video and audio signals, and an RF modulator 16 modulates the decoded audio and video signals for distribution.
