Abstract: A method for reducing or eliminating plate-out during the process used to produce stretch blow molded containers from polyester preforms by crystallizing the low molecular weight polyester molecules in or on the preform exterior surface before stretch blow molding the preform into a container. The molecules are crystallized using a crystallization process selected from (1) treating the outer surface of the preform with a solvent that is capable of crystallizing low molecular weight polyester molecules in polyester or (2) heating the outer surface of the preform to a temperature and for a time suitable for crystallizing low molecular weight polyester molecules in polyester. Plate-out is reduced because the crystallized molecules do not migrate out of the preform and form plate-out deposits on the mold.

Abstract: A one-piece unitary occluder is disclosed which is utilized with a fluid administration set to occlude a portion of a tube assembly which is interconnected between a source of fluid and a patient. The one-piece unitary occluder has a body with a pair of openings which are diametrically aligned with an aperture to allow fluid flow therethrough; however, once activated, the openings are misaligned relative to the aperture to occlude a portion of the tubing to prevent fluid free-flow if the tube assembly becomes disassociated from the pump.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Nemesia plant named ‘Penval’ that is characterized by compact habit, narrow green leaves, upright fragrant flower spikes and a floriferous display of pink-purple flowers. In combination these characteristics set ‘Penval’ apart from all other existing varieties of Nemesia known to the inventor.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Nemesia plant named ‘Pengoon’ that is characterized by a compact dense habit, dense upright spikes of sweet scented blue-purple flowers each with a red-purple palate, and oval shaped green leaves. In combination these characteristics set ‘Pengoon’ apart from all other existing varieties of Nemesia known to the inventor.
Abstract: A new variety of Chrysanthemum plant named ‘Mogul Time,’ having an upright and branching habit of medium/tall vigor and attractive daisy flowers with purple/silver tubular spoon petals.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Azalea plant named ‘Miss Lulu’, characterized by its upright and outwardly spreading plant habit; glossy and very dark green-colored leaves; freely branching habit; pink-colored double flowers; and excellent postproduction longevity.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Poinsettia plant named ‘Dueternity’, characterized by its inflorescences with red-colored flower bracts; dark green-colored leaves; uniform and rounded plant habit; freely branching habit; early flowering habit; and excellent post-production longevity.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Phalaenopsis plant named ‘Exotic Fire’, characterized by its pale yellow-colored flowers with red purple-colored venation and red purple-colored labellum; freely flowering habit; upright, freely branching and sturdy flowering stems, and excellent postproduction longevity.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Phalaenopsis orchid named ‘Osiris’ characterized by broad elliptic leaves; brown stem; showy light purple flowers with dark purple stripes and white margins; dull, green leaves with silvery glance and purple spots; and freely flowering with 10-15 flowers and buds per raceme.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of dwarf winter hardy Lagerstroemia plant named, ‘Violet Filli’ is the result of a unique hybridization. This new and distinct cultivar is characterized primarily as to novelty by its extreme cold hardiness to Zone 4, its numerous sturdy bright violet blooms, its compact spreading performance with heavy branching, its vigorous and uniform growth habit, and its floriferous nature form midsummer until frost.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Chrysanthemum plant named ‘Pjhavan’, characterized by its rounded plant habit; freely branching habit; uniform and freely flowering habit; decorative-type inflorescences; golden yellow-colored ray florets; natural season flowering in mid-September in the Northern Hemisphere; and good garden performance.
Abstract: A new and distinct Argyranthemum plant named ‘Balargluite’, characterized by its white ray florets, yellow disc florets, medium green foliage and upright growth habit.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant is provided which forms in abundance on a continuous basis attractive clusters of fully double rich red blossoms. The vegetation is strong and vigorous. A compact climbing shrub growth habit is displayed. Attractive foliage is formed having a touch of red prior to maturing the deep dark green. Good tolerance to Black Spot and Powdery Mildew is exhibited. Attractive ornamentation is made possible on a trellis, fence or building with support.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Prunus mahaleb is provided. The new cultivar is particularly well suited for serving as an understock during cherry production. A number of advantages are provided when compared to the standard Mahaleb rootstock. The cultivar is readily amenable to vegetative propagation (e.g., by the use of softwood cuttings), and exhibits improved resistance to Phytophthora spp. When used with a ‘Bing’ cherry scion, increased yields and yield efficiency have been observed without reduced fruit size. Improved precocity in bearing is displayed when compared to the standard Mahaleb rootstock. The new cultivar when grown without use as an understock forms a smaller tree than the ‘UCMH 55’ cultivar and the standard Mahaleb rootstock. Few suckers are produced.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the Miniature Class is provided which abundantly forms in clusters on a nearly continuous basis attractive very double bright Lemon Yellow blossoms that well retain their coloration upon maturity. The growth habit is narrow bushy. Very dense dark green semi-glossy foliage is formed that contrasts nicely with the blossom coloration. Plants of the new variety develop well following budding and following the rooting of cuttings. The new variety is well suited for pot forcing under greenhouse growing conditions to form a distinctive gift plant. Very good tolerance to Oidium Botrytis is displayed.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Hybrid Tea rose plant is provided which forms attractive double blossoms that are mauve in coloration. The buds are large and high-pointed. The plant exhibits a narrow bushy growth habit, rather dense semi-glossy foliage, and very good tolerance to Powdery Mildew and Botrytis. The foliage coloration contrasts nicely with the mauve blossom coloration. The new variety is particularly well suited for cut flower production under greenhouse growing conditions.
