Abstract: A method for aligning an extraction electrode to an arc chamber of an ion implantation apparatus can be carried out by first providing a calibration tool that is shaped essentially of a flat key that has sections of different widths. The extraction electrode can then be tilted by switching on a tilt motor, while being moved parallelly by switching on an alignment motor until the calibration tool can be smoothly inserted into the slit openings in the arc chamber and in the extraction electrode. The tilt motor and the alignment motor are controlled by a tilt/align controller. When such insertion is not possible, the extraction electrode can be continuously tilted and moved parallelly until such smooth insertion is possible. Abstract: The present invention consists of an illuminated, musical display box having removable character elements mounted on pins and a removable scenic background, which character elements are capable of moving in a pleasing fashion about the rear wall of the device and/or on a lower platform of the device. The motion display box is substantially upright and narrow in configuration such that it can easily be installed onto the interior portion of a standard home window to be seen from the outside of the house during a given holiday season. The device may be provided with a speaker and music generation means consisting of an electronic tune generating chip embodied in a removable module or housing. Since the characters, background and music module may be easily and conveniently changed out by the user as the seasons change or the interior contents may be desired to be updated, one musical display box may be used through several holiday season changes.

The emergency exit sign includes visual and tactile properties that allow the sign to be read on a day to day basis by those walking through the doorway. The tactile properties of the sign also allow the sign to be read by those on the floor in an emergency situation such as when the room or hallway is filled with smoke. The tactile properties of the sign may also be used by those trying to find the doorway in a dark room. Further, the tactile properties of the sign are used on a day to day basis as people walk over the sign to reinforce the person's memory of the location of the emergency exit door.

Abstract: A unit connecting mechanism and box-like unit is disclosed having an engaging unit (4) and a connecting pin (3) which are mounted to the box-like unit (1) to allow a plurality of box-like units (1, 1) to be coupled to one another in a vertical direction. A handle (44) is operatively connected to a hook (43) to catch an engaging rod (3a) and is vertically raised to cause a stopper (45) to lock the hook (43) and the engaging rod (3a) in a locked condition, with operation of the handle (44) causing the stopper (45) to move downward to cause the hook disengage from the engaging rod for thereby uncoupling the box-like units (1, 1) from one another. As a result, the unit connecting mechanism can be manufactured in a compact structure, providing a capability for a worker to easily and appropriately perform coupling and uncoupling operations of the box-like units.

The label holder is formed of a relatively rigid plastic material, and the sign clip includes a downwardly extending portion overlying the upper front margin of the label holder to accommodate upward insertion of special sign tags. A thin, flexible tongue-like retaining element extends across a lower portion of the sign clip and is adapted to be easily deflected by upward insertion of a paper sign but thereafter lightly grips the sign to hold it in place. A new process is also disclosed for the continuous extrusion of the new label holder product, enabling the continuous co-extrusion of the soft, flexible tongue-like retaining element together with the main section of the label holder.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder with a strike sensor that alerts the operator that a fish has been caught. The fishing rod holder allows for horizontal striking of fish either while trolling or still-fishing. The fishing rod holder consists of a rod holder support arm assembly, a rotating unit, a base unit and an optional mounting adapter. The rod holder may be mounted for horizontal striking on the top surface of a gunnel wall on a boat or other substantially flat horizontal surface. Alternatively, the mounting adapter may be used to mount the rod holder to a boat handle rail. The rod holder support arms are slidably engaged in the support arm assembly and allow for customized vertical orientation of the rod's tip with respect to the reel. In addition, the horizontal orientation of the rod may be customized to accommodate fishing technique and fishing conditions. Finally, there is a strike sensor to alert the operator that a fish has been caught.
