Abstract: A ballistic resistant panel for use in protective garments. The ballistic resistant panel comprises at least two layers of multiple plies of a woven fibrous material wherein the plies of each layer are loosely stitched together within the respective layer and the layers are fastened together at the periphery of the panel. The loose construction yields a panel that is light-weight and more economic to manufacture.

Abstract: A novelty face mask is assembled from one or two coasters and a conventional drinking straw. One embodiment of the coaster is of generally circular shape with a linear slot proximate the outer edge, such slot defining a tab on the coaster that can be inserted into one end of the straw and a peephole strategically located so as to accommodate a user's eye. Two such coasters can be used with one straw, and in this case, both tabs are inserted together into the straw's end. The two coasters will normally be covered with a complementary design such that the assemblage of the coasters and the straw creates a novelty face mask, which may be promotional, celebratory, or of some other theme. A method for assembling such masks and the resulting masks are disclosed.

Abstract: A shin rest (10) worn by someone who is kneeling enables the wearer's shin to bear at least some of his or her weight to thereby reduce the stress imposed on the wearer's feet. The shin rest (10) also allows the user to sit back on his or her heels without bringing undue weight to bear on the ankle or the ball of the foot. The shin rest (10) has a body portion (12) that contacts the surface S on which the wearer is kneeling, and thereby supports at least some of the weight and resultant stress otherwise imposed upon the wearer's feet while the wearer is in a kneeling position. The body portion (12) is held to the user's leg by a plurality of straps (14, 16, 18). In a preferred embodiment, the body portion (12) of the shin rest (10) comprises a relatively hard outer shell (26) and a relatively soft cushion liner (24).

These protector portions (12, 14) preferably form a single integral unit. An absorbing cap (18) is preferably located on each of the shoulder protector portions (14) and the chest protector portion (12). Abstract: A cap structure with reduced length of stretchable material in sweatband without deteriorating the stretchability of the cap. The cap has a semi-spherical crown, a peak and a two-segment sweatband comprising a non-stretchable sweatband portion sewn at the area where is corresponding to said peak and a stretchable sweatband portion sewn at the other portion except the area where said non-stretchable sweatband locates both at the lower peripheral edge of said crown to get the maximum covering effect of the stretchable cap and further to reduce the cost of production of the cap by reducing the stretchable material in the sweatband.

Abstract: A mounting unit that can be worn easily and in which size adjustment and lock release can be operated with a natural hand position is disclosed. The mounting unit includes a front frame and a rear frame. The rear frame being connected to the front frame can move in a back and forth direction with respect to the front frame. And the unit includes knob members which are provided on both the right and left portions of the rear frame, for operation of backward movement of the rear frame. Furthermore, the unit includes lock mechanisms which prevent the backward movement of the rear frame with lock release buttons which allow release of the lock of the lock mechanisms. The knob members are arranged under both frames. Each of the lock release buttons is arranged at a portion on each of the knob members where the user pushes with his/her finger when a user will move the rear frame backward with respect to the front frame.

Each friction element (28, 30) is intended to engage the user's arm to prevent the no-slip elbow pad (10) from sliding out of a desired position.

An embodiment of a handheld urinal may include a funnel top configured for attachment to a urinal base. The funnel top may include a splashguard along a portion of an upper periphery of the funnel top and a generally conical lower portion with a narrow orifice at a bottom end and a mount fitting. An embodiment of the portable urinal includes a wall mountable urinal for receiving a mount fitting from an assembled funnel top and urinal base according to the present invention. Another embodiment of the portable urinal includes a urinal base for adjustably receiving an assembled funnel top and urinal base. The funnel top may be configured to receive a handle or attached to a wall mount, toilet mount or freestanding base.

In the case of a tub and shower enclosure having a head piece the shelf is supported thereon by slots formed in the bottom of the bracket which engage the head piece. In the case of a tub and shower enclosure comprising a shower curtain and a shower curtain support rod, the shower curtain support rod and the rings which support the shower curtain therefrom extend through the slot formed in the bottoms of the brackets of the shelf.

Leaves are discharged by a vacuum device into a collector and retained by screened internal walls. Fine leaf particulate passes through the screens and is directed through the floor to the ground under the collector where the particulate accumulates to facilitate collection. Reusable dust bags may be placed under the floor of the discharge path to collect the particulate matter as it is exhausted through openings in the floor. A fluid spray may be injected into the discharge of the vacuum collection device to wet the leaf particulate and facilitate settling within the collection box.

The small pieces are easily transported and assembled at a job site where a windshield is to be replaced. An adjustable height post is mounted on a base that includes a ramp to be placed under a vehicle wheel by driving the vehicle upon the base. A horizontal arm is mounted on the post. The horizontal arm is raised or lowered by a jack type device mounted on the post. The horizontal arm is moved horizontally to place a windshield, held to the arm by suction cups, in position over the vehicle. The horizontal arm both pivots and rotates to correctly position the windshield. The windshield to be replaced is first removed by the apparatus.

In alternative embodiments, the closure includes a flip-top hinged to the base wall, with a plug extending therefrom for selectively opening and closing the dispensing opening in the container body top wall.

In another embodiment, the apparatus includes a rotation counting member biased against the first tubular. In another aspect, the present invention provides a method of connecting a first tubular to second tubular. The method includes engaging the first tubular using a gripping member connected to a conveying member and positioning the gripping member to align the first tubular with the second tubular. Thereafter, the first tubular is engaged with the second tubular, and the first tubular is rotated relative to the second tubular using the gripping member.

Abstract: The fastener installation apparatus and method of the present invention include a housing and a moveable body at least partially within the housing. The moveable body defines a plurality of openings and is fixably attached to at least one piston, which is in moveable contact with the housing. First and second cavities are defined on opposite sides of the piston and respective openings in the moveable body are in communication with opposite sides of the piston. In addition, a valve directs a fluid through the appropriate openings in the moveable body and into the first cavity or the second cavity, as desired, which, in turn, alternately extends and retracts the moveable body relative to the housing. A jaw extends from the housing in alignment with the moveable body, such that the jaw and the moveable body cooperate to install a fastener upon extension of the moveable body.

Abstract: A method for winding transformers is adopted for use on Sub-miniature Tube Transformers. The transformer includes a winding shaft which has a winding zone. At least one layer of primary coil is wound on the winding zone, and a first insulation layer is covered on the wound primary coil. Then a plurality of layers of secondary coils are wound on the first insulation layer. Each layer of the secondary coils is covered by a second insulation layer, thus short circuit resulting from peeling off of the lacquer on the copper wires during winding the secondary coils can be avoided, and electric output characteristics of the transformer are improved, and the reliability and quality of the transformer are enhanced.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a multilayer wiring substrate, which can preserve the dimensional stability of a conductor pattern at a fine pitch, solve the restriction on a process from the viewpoint of material selection, and further reduce a manufacturing cost, and a multilayer wiring substrate. A second wiring substrate formed on a supporting sheet made of metal and an adhesive layer are partially stacked on a predetermined region of a first wiring substrate by using the supporting sheet. After the lamination of the second wiring substrate, the supporting sheet is finally etched and removed. The second wiring substrate is stacked only on the portion required to be multilayered on the first wiring substrate to thereby reduce the amount of the construction material of the second wiring substrate.
