Abstract: An adjustable water pipe includes a connecting block, a conduit, a securing sleeve, and a metal wire. The conduit is flexible, and is firmly joined to the connecting block at a first end. The connecting block has a through hole and an outlet communicating with an inner space of the conduit. The securing sleeve is provided to press the first end of the conduit tightly against the block, preventing water from leaking through the joint. The metal wire has plasticity so that it can be bent into various shapes. The metal wire is placed along the inner space of the external conduit, and is firmly inserted into one end of the through hole of the connecting block, helping the conduit stay bent in conveying water after adjustment of position.

This material was powdered by usual melting, casting, crushing, or direct reduction method. This powder was subjected to orientation in a magnetic field, compacted, sintered and subjected to heat treatment. Thus the Fe—B—R based sintered permanent magnets were obtained that have the maximum energy product more than 20 MGOe and the coercive force more than 15 kOe.

Abstract: An improved method of weldbonding utilizing inclusion bodies, placed directly between materials to be bonded or included in a weldbonding adhesive. The inclusion bodies maintain a gap between the materials to be welded which provides a gas releasing egress route to disperse the gas and gaseous byproducts produced during welding. Abstract: A new and improved gas distribution plate for a processing chamber for substrates. The gas distribution plate is provided with multiple gas distribution openings which are larger in size in the peripheral or edge regions of the plate than are the openings in the central region of the plate. The larger openings in the peripheral or edge regions of the plate provide a greater area for gas distribution through the plate than the smaller openings in the central region of the plate in order to compensate for the normally higher rate of plasma flow through the center region of the plate.

Abstract: There is provided a plasma processing apparatus and method capable of performing etching with high precision without damaging the semiconductor wafer. The plasma processing apparatus comprises a processing chamber for processing a sample; a plasma generation power supply for generating a plasma within the processing chamber; a high-frequency power supply for applying a high frequency wave to a sample stage installed within the processing chamber; and control means for controlling the plasma generation power supply or the high-frequency power supply based on parameter settings for an output intensity and an output mode for each process step; wherein when the process steps are switched, the control means compares parameters for a current process step with those for a next process step and then switches either the output intensities or the output modes before switching the output modes or the output intensities, respectively.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved system for identifying defects in a composite structure by providing a light source such that defects, and in particular dark defects on a dark background and/or light defects on a light background, can be identified by capturing images of the illuminated composite structure. In particular, the improved system for identifying defects in a composite structure may provide a reflective surface, dispersion elements, and multiple and/or moveable light source(s) and/or camera(s) in order to ensure that the most accurate images of any area of the composite structure, even curved or contoured areas, are captured and processed. As a result, the system of the present invention permits the operator to quickly identify and correct defects which would otherwise create structural flaws or inconsistencies that may affect the integrity of the composite structure.

Abstract: A hot laminating apparatus has a single-sided transmitting and heating roller. A heating plate is used instead of a transmitting and heating roller at the opposite side of the transmission passage in order to heat the thin film in contact therewith and cooperate with the single-sided transmitting and heating roller to transmit the thin films to be laminated. The heating plate is efficient in heating the thin film and generally less expensive than the transmitting and heating roller.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to paper products having great softness and strength. The paper products are formed from one or more paper webs that can be made according to various methods. In one embodiment, the paper web is an uncreped through-air dried web. The web can contain softwood fibers in combination with high-yield fibers. For example, the high-yield fibers can be contained in the middle layer of a stratified fiber furnish. In accordance with the present invention, a first bonding material is applied to a first side of the web and optionally a second bonding material is applied to a second side of the paper web. The bonding materials are applied according to preselected patterns. At least one side of the paper web is creped after one of the bonding materials is applied. The bonding material applied to the creped side of the web can be an adhesive selected that allows the web to be creped at relatively low temperatures.
