  • Patent number: PP14685
Abstract: ‘Gulfcrest’ is a new and distinct variety of peach tree which has a moderate winter chilling requirement of approximately 525 chill units. The tree is of large size, is highly vigorous with a semi-spreading growth habit. The tree has showy pink flowers and reniform leaf glands. Trees of ‘Gulfcrest’ bear self-fertile flowers and regularly bear heavy annual crops which are large for the moderately early ripening season. Fruit at harvest have yellow, clingstone, non-melting flesh. Fruit are uniformly firm, attractive, substantially symmetrical shape, and have an attractive normally 90 to 95% red skin with moderately fine red stripes from tip to shoulder. The fruit ripens 4 to 5 days after ‘Flordacrest’ in early May at Attapulgus, Ga.

  • Patent number: PP14695
Abstract: The present invention relates to a peach tree, Prunus persica, and more particularly to a new and distinct variety characterized by a medium size, vigorous, hardy, self-fertile, productive and regular bearing tree. The fruit matures under the ecological conditions described in the latter part of June, with first picking on Jun. 22, 2002. The fruit is uniformly large in size, sweet and acidic in flavor, globose in shape, freestone in type, firm in texture, yellow in flesh color, and mostly red in skin color. The variety was developed as a first generation cross using ‘Spring Bright’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 7,507) yellow flesh nectarine as the selected seed parent and an unnamed peach as the selected pollen parent.

  • Patent number: RE38495
Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin sheet bearing an embossed pattern, which employs a manufacturing apparatus having a first roll having an elastic material coated surface, a mirror-faced metal, endless belt, which is wound around the first roll and a second roll, and a third roll so provided that the metal, endless belt is wrapped partially around the third roll, which contacts the first roll via the metal, endless belt and which has an embossed pattern formed on one surface. According to this method, the thermoplastic resin sheet, partially melted, is fed between the metal, endless belt, which contacts the first roll, and the third roll. The elastic member is elastically deformed by application of a pressing force between the first and the third roll, while face pressure welding the thermoplastic sheet by using the first and the third rolls to transfer the embossed pattern and to cool the thermoplastic resin sheet. A surface temperature for the third roll of from 0° C.
