Publication number: 20040168583Abstract: A salad shaker having a lower part of a container and a cover which is placed on the cover and has a cable pull drive by which the salad sieve can be rotated. The drive is connected to a rotating plate by a free-running device which acts on both sides, and enables the rotational direction of the salad sieve to be changed in a spring-biased manner. The repeated change in rotational direction causes the shaking efficiency to be significantly improved. The restoring force of the inventive spring automatically reels in the cable and holds the handle in a desired position on the cover in a spring-biased manner. The drive of this invention can also be used in handle-operated salad shakers.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2004Publication date: September 2, 2004Inventor: Hansjurgen Riede

Publication number: 20040168584Abstract: Apparatus is described for processing articles. It has a hollow drum having permeable walls. At one end there is an inlet for receiving articles onto an inside surface of the permeable walls. At the other end is an outlet for discharging articles from the drum. The drum is rotated about an axis having at least a horizontal component at such speed that centrifugal force acting on the articles is sufficient to overcome the gravity acting on the articles. A first jet of fluid is applied to the articles through the permeable wall, to displace the articles from the inside surface and in a direction away from the inlet, towards the outlet. In one application, the process is used to dry the articles. In another application the process is used to inspect the articles.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2004Publication date: September 2, 2004Inventor: Milan Fuchs

Publication number: 20040168590Abstract: A stamp pad holder for use in a self-inking hand stamp. The stamp pad holder has a stamp die box that holds a stamp forming material, ink cartridge and plastic within the die box. The stamp forming material is placed at the bottom of the die box. A pre-inked ink cartridge is placed above the stamp forming material but separated by an impermeable film. The film prohibits ink from flowing from the ink cartridge to the stamp forming material until the film is pulled from the die box prior to use. This permits the ink from the ink cartridge to impregnate the stamp forming material. The die box is then inserted into the hand stamp. A method of manufacturing the die box is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2003Publication date: September 2, 2004Inventor: Craig J. Petersen

Publication number: 20040168591Abstract: An ink pad assembly having a top panel, the top panel having an ink pad coupled thereto, a bottom panel, and a pivotable hinge for connecting the top and bottom panels. The top panel of the ink pad assembly can be opened and pivoted 180 degrees about its central lengthwise axis. This pivotability allows a user to place the ink pad assembly in a position ready for use wherein the top panel lies on top of the bottom panel so that the ink pad is exposed. The pivotable hinge also allows the user to place the ink pad assembly in a closed position wherein the top panel lies on top of the bottom panel so that the ink pad is enclosed between the top and bottom panels.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2003Publication date: September 2, 2004Inventor: Jeanette R.
