  • Patent number: 6786650
Abstract: The method and apparatus of the present invention is capable of precisely determining the orientation of the axis of the guide pin hole defined by a multifiber ferrule. Since the axis of the guide pin hole has a direct relationship to the alignment of the optical fibers, the method and apparatus can also precisely determine the end face angle of the ferrule based upon the axis of the guide pin hole without reference to external features of the ferrule. A measurement pin is initially positioned in a guide pin hole such that a first end of the measurement pin is disposed proximate the end face of the ferrule. The reference plane defined by the first end of the measurement pin is then measured, such as by an interferometer. Based upon the reference plane and the predetermined angle between the reference plane and the axis of the guide pin hole, the method and apparatus can precisely determine the orientation of the axis of the guide pin hole.

  • Patent number: 6786653
Abstract: A transceiver module (1) having a release mechanism includes a connector assembly (3), a driving device (43), and a pull tab (45). The connector assembly includes a tab (362) for being received in a hole (242) of a bendable portion (240) of a receptacle (2), which receptacle receives the transceiver module therein. The driving device includes, a release member (42) and a wedge member (46). Both the pull tab and the wedge member are mechanically linked to the release member. When the pull tab is pulled outwardly, the release member rotates with respect to the connector assembly, driving the wedge member to press against the bendable portion of the receptacle, thus disengaging the tab from the hole. The transceiver module is then easily withdrawn from the receptacle. This arrangement allows the transceiver modules to be closely stacked together while still being readily accessible. This advantage decreases a stacking height of multiple transceiver modules.

Abstract: A roll film, which is wound up on a feeder spool with emulsion surface facing inward on the roll, is turned inside out and is drawn from the feeder spool to a first guide roller. The photo film is turned inside out again while being fed through a second guide roller and is wound up on a take-up spool with the emulsion surface facing inward on the roll. On an inner wall of a film magazine facing the second guide roller, a press roller presses the photo film to prevent loosening of the photo film in a film feeding path from the periphery of the second guide roller to the take-up spool.

Abstract: A camera frame assembly has a base member and a drive hub connected to the base member. A shutter is joined to the drive hub. A shutter driver is mounted to the base member. The shutter driver selectively deflects from a charged state to a discharged state and impacts the drive hub during the deflecting. The drive hub and shutter pivot together relative to the base member in a discharge direction about the pivot axis, responsive to the impacting, from a shutter closed position to a shutter open position. The drive hub is pivotable, in a recharge direction opposite the discharge direction, independent of the shutter.

  • Patent number: 6786659
Abstract: With conventional analog printers, ordinary users are experienced in the subtract color mixture for adjustment of image colors. Therefore, when adjusting the colors in an image displayed on a monitor of a video player and set by the additive color mixture, a user has difficulty if not familiar with the complementary relation between colors. The present invention proposes a printer and color adjusting method in which images of which a designated portion changed in color balance using a gamma (&ggr;) data table in an image processor are printed in one printing paper and the user is prompted to select one of the images for storage in the printer. Thus, the user can select an image having colors he desires from images actually used and set the selected data into the printer. Thus, after the color adjustment, a desired print whose set colors are automatically stored can be provided.
