Abstract: A detachable adaptor for glasses by which shelter glasses are detachably mounted immediately in front of main glasses. The main glasses include a main frame which holds a pair of main lenses, and the shelter glasses include a shelter frame which has magnetic lockers at both ends thereof and holds a pair of shelter lenses. The detachable adaptor has first and second clamp legs to clamp the adaptor to a desired position of the main frame. The first and second clamp legs are jointed at centers thereof to each other by a hinge. The detachable adaptor further has a magnet unit provided at a rear end of the first clamp leg and an adjusting screw provided at a rear end of the second clamp leg. The adjusting screw has a role as a spacer to adjust a clamping force of the first and second clamp legs when clamping the adaptor to the desired position of the main frame.

Abstract: An air deflector for upwardly moving ram air that—if allowed to continue—would impinge on the face of a motorcycle rider, said air rising from a region near the rider's feet as the motorcycle moves along a road. Air deflection is achieved by some kind of a structural body having sufficient density and rigidity to deflect ram air that is impinging on said body, in front of the rider's torso. There is also provided some kind of a structure for supporting the air-deflecting body in front of the rider's torso. The support structure should not constitute a safety hazard for the rider, and could be a frontal part of a leather vest that could otherwise be worn by the rider.

Abstract: An athletic finger, palm and wrist protective pad comprising a leather pad configured to substantially conform to the shape of a human palm and wrist is disclosed. The leather pad and an added pad proximate the wrist end of the pad provide protection against abrasion of the palm and wrist of a baseball or softball player while sliding into a base or home plate, as well as protection against hyper-extension of the wrist. A foam dowel encased in the leading, finger end of the pad provides a padded gripping surface for the fingers, thereby preventing jamming, as well as protection from debris sliding under the pad. An elastic loop attached to the leading edge of the sleeve slips easily over the fingers of a user and a wrist strap tightens around the wrist, allowing quick and easy donning of the protective pad while on the base path.

Abstract: A shin rest (10) worn by someone who is kneeling enables the wearer's shin to bear at least some of his or her weight to thereby reduce the stress imposed on the wearer's feet. The shin rest (10) also allows the user to sit back on his or her heels without bringing undue weight to bear on the ankle or the ball of the foot. The shin rest (10) has a body portion (12) that contacts the surface S on which the wearer is kneeling, and thereby supports at least some of the weight and resultant stress otherwise imposed upon the wearer's feet while the wearer is in a kneeling position. The body portion (12) is held to the user's leg by a plurality of straps (14, 16, 18). In a preferred embodiment, the body portion (12) of the shin rest (10) comprises a relatively hard outer shell (26) and a relatively soft cushion liner (24).

Abstract: A climate-controlled glove for sporting activities, such as a batting glove. The glove is preferably made of leather with an inner layer of a climate-controlled material, such as polyester, used to insulate the body heat of the user in cold weather and keep the user's hands dry and comfortable in warm weather. The glove is constructed by forming a pre-existing batting glove with a glove made of the climate-controlled material, with the two sewn closely together. The two gloves work as one but allow for separation at the base of the palm. At this point, a fastening means, such as hook and loop or button, secure the gloves to one another. This enables the user to easily insert and remove a heatable material in the shape of the palm. Such may be in the form of a thin gel or similar material, thin enough to not affect the traditional usage of the glove, and provide additional padding for the user.

Abstract: A safety arrangement is disclosed for power machinery such as a folding machine (10) for sheet metal or plate (40). An operator is charged to a potential above that of the folding machine (10) through a foot pedal (20) and his potential is monitored by means of a control device (20a). If there is a drop in operator potential, machine cycles cannot be started and any cycle under way is halted or reversed. Safety gloves (28) are provided which are made of an electrically conductive material (28a) and onto which is integrated an insulating layer 28c over the palm (30a). The insulating layer (28c) allows handling of metal work pieces (40) without electrical contact being made with the folding machine (10). Meanwhile, the exposed nature of the conductive layer (28a) on the backhand (30c) ensures that the operator is protected from injury from machine parts (12, 14, 18) approaching the gloved hand (30) from the side not being used for work.

Thus, if the cap is put on a head, the concave-convex elements formed at the penetration element are latched on the head, the cap can be prevented from taking off by a severe wind and marks or characters representing the even can be displayed to promote an event atmosphere.

A sliding assembly between the crown's inside and the headband has a first member secured to the crown's inside and a second member slidably attached to the first member and comprising an extension secured to the brim. Thus a user may rotate the brim relative to the crown. The crown may be formed of a sheet of material having a main body portion and including an integral fold on the flap or hem folded inwardly to form a finished edge along its lower periphery. This fold is securely attached to the main body portion to form an upper edge. The first member has a flat base that can be secured to the fold or arranged on the upper edge of such flap, and connected directly to the main body portion of the crown. Abstract: An adjustable baseball or sports type hat is disclosed having an adjustable circumferential portion along the bottom of the crown. A visor may be attached to the front or rear portion of the crown. A pair of adjustment clasps are affixed near each temple of the crown at or near where the visor is attached to the crown to alter the size of the circumferential portion of the crown. The adjustment clasps may be hidden when adjusted for the wearer or they may be attached on the exterior of the crown. In one embodiment the adjustment clasp is formed by a flap, which is formed above the temple of the crown where the edge of the visor attaches to the crown and has Velcro® on its underside which mates with Velcro® attached on the temple portion of the crown. The flap may be of any shape including that of a logo or trademark. A trademark or logo may also be affixed to the flap.

A second windshield wiper assembly having a second lever arm is spaced apart from the first windshield wiper assembly and is rotatable about a second wiper longitudinal axis and adapted to operative move in a repeated wiping motion across the surface of the windshield. A brushless DC motor that includes a planetary gear set having an output shaft is disposed between the first and the second wiper assemblies. The gear set is operable to reduce the speed of the rotational output of the motor through the output shaft of said gear set. A bellcrank having a central attachment point and a first and a second end is also included. The central attachment point is fixedly mounted to the output shaft of the motor.
