Abstract: Personal body armor has hard armor plates on the front and back of the wearer which extend between a left vest section and a right vest section formed of soft armor. Foam pads are affixed to the interior of the vest sections which space the soft armor and the hard armor plates from the wearer's body and define multiple vertically extending air channels between the wearer and the hard armor plates and the interior of the soft armor. The air channels promote ventilation of the armor and cooling of the wearer. For additional comfort, the soft armor is formed of multiple conventional layers of ballistic material and a {fraction (1/16)} inch molded plastic layer. The hard armor plates are configured to avoid interference with the usual range of motion of the wearer.

Abstract: Protective suits are used to protect the wearer against hazardous materials such as particulates, liquids, chemicals, pathogens, radiation, electromagnetism, physical trauma, heat and for rain protection. They are used to protect the wearer's surrounding in cleanrooms. Medical protective suits are used to prevent the spread of pathogens from the wearer. Unfortunately, they can cause heat stress by reducing air circulation. This invention discloses a protective suit with bellows and dual one-way valves operated by the normal movement of the wearer to draw air through the suit's interior to cool the wearer and provide breathable air. Filters can be placed in the bellows and suit's air vents, or the suit can be made of a filter material to protect the wearer and the surroundings. Abstract: The present invention is to provide a scraper for a barbecue grill comprising a hollow handle and a substantially parallelepiped cleaning head at a forward end of the handle. The cleaning head is disposed at an oblique angle with respect to the handle and includes a blade extended horizontally from a forward side of the cleaning head, wherein the blade has a cutting edge at a forward side thereof with a series of curved peaks and valleys conformed to open spaces of the barbecue grill for removing dirt left on side surfaces of metal bars of the barbecue grill.

Abstract: A grooming brush includes a body having a convex top surface with multiple tooled finger grooves arranged to accommodate multiple hand positions and/or right and left-handed grasps. This ergonomic grip reduces hand and wrist strain and fatigue. The bottom surface of the brush body is equipped with a flexibly attached configuration of bristles. A magnet is fixed within the body of the brush with one pole (e.g., south) in the direction of the top surface and the groomer's hand, and the other pole (e.g., north) in the direction of the bottom surface and the grooming subject. With metal bristles, the magnetic field at the skin surface of the grooming subject may be enhanced by the proximity of the magnetized bristles. The groomer and the grooming subject may thus experience the benefits of magnetic therapy through the grooming process.

Abstract: A handheld toothbrush with a brush head having a forward free end and a rearward portion. Provided at the forward free end of the brush head is at least one bristle tuft of a first set. Adjoining the first set in rearward direction is a second set of tufts comprised of several bristle tufts arranged serially on a ring and extending in the circumferential direction of the ring at an angle of inclination relative to the surface of the brush head. A third set of tufts adjoins the second set of bristle tufts in the direction towards the rearward portion. The tufts of the third set are inclined in the circumferential direction in opposition to the direction of the bristle tufts of the second set. As a result, these tufts are capable of penetrating optimally between the user's teeth, hence ensuring a better cleaning result.

Abstract: A roller style paint applicator that enables the user to halt the free rolling motion of the roller cage by applying thumb pressure to a pushrod assembly (30), pushing its end piece (46) into contact with any household roller brush that has been installed on the cage. Upon cessation of pressure, the brake assembly retracts to its original position, allowing the roller brush to again rotate freely when any force causes it to do so.

Abstract: A wiper blade is proposed, which is used to clean windows, in particular of motor vehicles. The wiper blade is arranged with a rubber elastic wiper strip (24) on the one band surface (22) of a band-like, long-stretched-out, elastic supporting element (12) and can be placed on the to-be-wiped window (14). The other band surface (16) of the supporting element is covered by another component (40) of the wiper blade (10), at least in sections, and this covering part is provided with claw-like projections (54) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade, which grip under holding edges (38) of the supporting element. A particularly tension-neutral and easily mountable wiper blade is achieved if the covering part (40), manufactured of an elastic plastic, is provided with an armoring (60) in the area of its projections (54) whose strength is greater than the strength of the plastic used for the covering part.

Abstract: This invention relates to windshield wiper system which utilizes a flexible drive arm for withstanding bending loads applied to a wiper. The drive arm may be made of a pull-molded composite material having a relatively low modulus of elasticity and a relatively high elongation factor. The flexible arm twists in the presence a bending load and undergoes rapidly progressing elastic buckling when the bending load exceeds a predetermined amount.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaning system for a vehicle includes a console (12), which may be centrally positioned between the front seats (16) of the vehicle. A canister (10), in the form of a drawer to the console, is selectively removed, when vacuuming is to be commenced, and a flexible hose (96) unclamped from a side compartment (112) of the canister. The canister, with the hose attached, is carried by a handle strap (58) to a part of the car to be cleaned. A motor fan assembly (70) within the canister is powered from the vehicle's battery by means of a power cord (84) to draw dirt into a dirt cup (90) in the canister. Entrained air passes from the dirt cup through a filter (94) and is directed by the fan to an exhaust outlet (82) in the canister.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaning machine has a cannister with an inlet port and at least two outlet ports. At least two filters are disposed inside of the cannister, one in pneumatic communication through each of the outlet ports. At least two valves are disposed outside of the cannister. Each valve is in pneumatic communication between a vacuum source and an outlet port so as to permit air to be drawn by the vacuum source from the inlet port simultaneously through the filters. A controller operates the valves to switch the filters from the vacuum source to ambient air so as to permit ambient air to be sequentially intermittently drawn through corresponding valves and filters into the cannister. Preferably, the controller includes a timing mechanism for setting the delay time of the sequential valve operation and a timing mechanism for setting the intermittent time of connection of each filter to ambient air.
