  • Patent number: 6863138
Abstract: A roller bit is provided having super-abrasive inserts on cutting portions to assure that the bit will maintain cutting efficiency. In the described exemplary bits, the axes of the roller cones are also offset by a significant or “high offset” amount from the central longitudinal axis of the bit, thereby providing for increased shearing and grinding action by the bit. The use of high offset in combination with super-abrasive inserts provides for optimal bit cutting designs which provide increases in ROP while preserving the bit's ability to hold gage and remain durable to achieve acceptable footage. Minimum high offsets and preferred high offsets are described for various bit sizes, designs and nomenclatures, including milled tooth bits and insert-type bits designed for use in soft-through-medium formation hardnesses as well as formations with greater hardnesses.

Abstract: Power transmission device for automobile is disclosed. The power transmission device for automobile comprises a driving shaft (10), an output shaft (30) a transmission (20), a differential gear part (50) and a four-wheel drive part (60). The driving shaft (10) has a plurality of driving gears (12), each of them having a different diameter respectively. The driving shaft (10) is connected to an engine (E). The output shaft (30) is a hollow shaft and outputs power from the driving shaft (10). The transmission (20) has a plurality of speed change gears (22) meshing continuously with the driving gears (12) and also has a brake member braking the speed change gears (22) selectively to transfer power to the output shaft (30). The differential gear part (50) is located at an end portion of the output shaft (30) and controls the amounts of rotation of both right and left front wheels (42). The four-wheel drive part (60) is fixed on the output shaft (30) and transfers power to rear wheels (44) selectively.

  • Patent number: 6863148
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary slide valve (1) of servo-assisted steering systems for motor vehicles that comprises an input and an output element (3, 4), which can rotate in relation to one another around a limited angle of rotation, and comprises a coupling connection (10) of the output element (4) to a control slide (7). A torque-transmitting, non-distorted coupling connection (10) between the control slide (7) and the output element (4) is provided by a coupling pin (10), which is fixed inside the output element (4) and radially extends into a seat of the control slide (7). The seat axially tapers to a cross-section that matches the cross-section of the coupling pin (10), whereby it is easy to insert the coupling pin (10) into the seat and possible to attain a play-free supporting position for the coupling pin (10) by axially displacing the output element (4) or the coupling pin (10) and control slide (7) in relation to one another.

Abstract: A road surface reaction torque detector has a low-pass filter element whose time constant is determined in accordance with a vehicle speed that is detected by a vehicle steed detector and a motor rotation speed that is detected by a motor rotation speed detector. A road surface reaction torque estimation value is obtained in such a manner that the road surface reaction torque detector performs low-pass filter processing on steering shaft reaction torque signal that is outputted by a steering shaft reaction torque signal outputting means. As a result, an accuracy of estimation of road surface reaction torque is improved.

  • Patent number: 6863152
Abstract: A symmetrically loaded, shallow suspension speaker with stiff diaphragm having a minimum dimension that is greater than the diameter of the magnet that drives the diaphragm thus allowing the suspension of the diaphragm to extend nearly to the bottom of the speaker basket on the maximum inward excursion of the voice coil and diaphragm such that the suspension operational depth is not the limiting factor of the overall height of the speaker. The elements of the suspension system are designed to maximize the spacing between the inner and outer portions of the suspension, thus minimizing the possibility of wobble in the speaker. The speaker design maximizes air movement in a given mounting depth with a configuration that optimizes the operation of the moving parts that complements the fixed mechanical structural configuration of the non-moving parts in either an overhung or underhung configuration. The design also accommodates user replacement of the voice coil or cone.

  • Patent number: 6863153
Abstract: A speaker diaphragm 10 is provided having an improved quality of radiation sounds and a good outer appearance. The speaker diaphragm has in its slanted area projections typically represented by a peak line 4 and recesses typically represented by a bottom line 5. The projection typically represented by the peak line extends radially from the central area to the edge portion, and curves along the circumferential direction as it comes near to the edge portion. While the speaker diaphragm 10 vibrates at a large amplitude and moves toward the bottom side thereof, a rotation force is applied to air which is likely to concentrate upon the central area to thereby lower the air pressure to the central area. The speaker diaphragm 10 has a three-dimensional structure like a screw propeller so that the mechanical strength of the speaker diaphragm 10 can be increased over the whole area thereof and division vibrations can be suppressed.

Abstract: A mobile scaffolding (10) for elevating a worker (not shown) above a floor or ground surface (S) is disclosed. The scaffolding (10) broadly includes a pair of frames (12) and (14), a platform (16) supported by the frames (12,14), a pair of casters (18, 20) and (22,24) rollably supporting a respective one of the frames (12,14), and a brake assembly (26, 28,30, and 32) associated with a corresponding one of the casters (18,20,22,24), respectively. The inventive brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) enable the worker supported on the platform (16) to selectively activate and deactivate the respective brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) from the platform (16). This enables the worker supported on the platform (16) to deactivate the brake assemblies (26,28,30,32), reposition the scaffolding (10), and then reactivate the brake assemblies (26,28,30,32) without requiring the worker to dismount from the platform (16).

Abstract: A gearbox housing element having an oil outlet opening and a method for acting upon the liquid level of a gearbox is disclosed. The gearbox housing element has a device which can be brought into two working positions. In a first working position, the height of the liquid level in the gearbox housing during the filling and operation of the gearbox is predetermined by an upper opening of the device. In a second working position for draining the gearbox oil, an oil drain opening of the device is released, which opening is arranged below the upper opening and therefore permits draining of a large part of the oil disposed in the gearbox. The oil drain opening is opened by a tool which is introduced into the oil drain opening from outside the gear box housing. The gearbox can be an automatic gearbox for motor vehicles.
