Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Mecardonia plant named ‘USMECA67’, characterized by its vigorous, low-growing, outwardly spreading and trailing plant habit; freely and continuous branching habit; numerous bright yellow-colored flowers; and good garden performance.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Chrysanthemum plant named ‘Zip’, characterized by its upright plant habit; dark green-colored foliage; freely flowering habit; small decorative-type inflorescences that are about 4.1 cm in diameter; attractive white-colored ray florets; response time about 60 days; strong peduncles; and good postproduction longevity with inflorescences and foliage maintaining good substance and color for about two weeks in an interior environment.
Abstract: A new double impatiens walleriana plant named ‘TiCoCitrus’, producing red flowers; dark green foliage; compact growth habit; fully double flowers held above or beyond the foliage on strong peduncles and pedicels; and a compact mounded growth habit.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Pentas plant named ‘Bismarck Pink’, characterized by its upright and somewhat outwardly spreading plant habit; short internodes and freely branching habit; dense and bushy growth habit; small, dark green-colored leaves; freely flowering habit; and large pink-colored flowers with white-colored throats arranged in large terminal corymbs that are positioned above the foliage.
Abstract: Cylindrical screen, particularly for paper pulp, of the type comprising at least one filtering element (10) positioned between two flanges (1, 2) by means of a number of bars (3). The filtering element is composed by wires (10) placed side by side and held by rings (11). This filtering element is rigid in the axial direction and is placed upstream from the above mentioned bars (3), in relation to the direction of flow of the pulp. The filtering element is held against the bars (3) through the rings (11) that are in contact with the bars without being attached to them, so as to maintain its shape by withstanding the pressure exerted by the pulp.
Abstract: A facsimile apparatus is provided with changeover means that makes it possible to pass signals through or to bypass a coder, which encrypts transmission information, and a decoder, which decodes encrypted information that has been received. Whether or not a facsimile apparatus belonging to another party has an encrypting/decoding processing function is verified by a pre-procedure signal. If the other party's apparatus possesses an encrypting/decoding processing function, control is performed in such a manner that encrypting/decoding processing is applied solely to an image signal and a training-check signal transmitted before transmission/reception of the image signal, and encrypting/decoding processing is not applied to a procedure signal which accompanies transmission reception transmission/reception of the image signal.
Abstract: A significantly improved hand protecting device used for grasping objects requiring grip force, particularly a weightlifting bar or barbell. This slip on grip-gloves (10, 12) include a specially configured sheet (14A, 14B) featuring a thumb protrusion (22) whereby protecting the medical portion of the thumb while an object is being gripped, wherein the sheet (14A, 14B) having pliable, conformable, and shock absorbing characteristics whereby providing the user with enhanced comfort and protection against the entire palm side of the user's hand (24). An elastic securing strap (18) attached to opposing left and right attachment ends (20L, 20R) of the sheet (14A, 14B) ensures suspension and proper fitting as the user's fingers are slipped between the sheet (14A, 14B) and securing strap (18) with extreme simplicity.
Abstract: A detachable lining for outerwear comprises a bodice, which includes an inner substantially full layer composed of a relatively rough fabric, an outer substantially full layer composed of a relatively smooth fabric, and an overlay partial layer composed of a relatively smooth fabric. The partial layer is superposed on the inner layer at an upper region of the bodice. The inner layer and outer layer are quilted together for enhancing dimensional stability and preventing bunching. The overlay partial layer has a relatively low coefficient of friction for encouraging sliding and preventing catching.
Abstract: A pole grip and glove combination that uses a hook material on at least a portion of the grip with a corresponding mating loop material on at least a portion of the palm of a glove such that when the user grasps the grip at the pole end while wearing the glove, the hook and loop material engage and releasably attach the glove to the pole grip.
Abstract: A device for dispensing a liquid active substance into the flushing water of a toilet bowl has a supply container for containing the liquid active substance. The supply container has an opening in its underside and is retained in a carrying body which can be fixed on a rim of the toilet bowl. The carrying body has sidewalls and a base having an opening. Tabs disposed around a portion of the perimeter of the base opening project upwardly from the base. A distributor plate is secured to the carrying body and has a plug-in spike projecting upwardly through the base opening and into the supply container opening. The plug-in spike has grooves distributed circumferentially around it which are in fluid communication with the liquid active substance. Distributor channels in the distributor plate are in fluid communication with the grooves and with multiple capillary channels via branching locations in the distributor plate.
Abstract: This invention relates to a drain plunger that snakes clogged drains at the same time that the drains are being plunged. The “snake plunger” includes a pleated bellows forming a head section which is removably coupled to a handle. Further, in one embodiment, the head and handle sections are jointly configured to release air from within the bellows while the plunger is being inserted into a basin filled with wastewater, thereby reducing or eliminating potential spillover. Further, a flexible elongated snake disposed within the interior of the bellows enters the drain as the plunger bellows is compressed. The snake is capable of dislodging and breaking up obstructions within a drain. Further, the snake may also have a hook at its lower end that is capable of snaring items causing obstructions within the drain. These features combine to create a plunger that provides a superior ability to effectively clear clogged drains.
Abstract: A double trip handle type flush control assembly is disclosed, which operates to allow either a full volume of water to be drawn out of the toilet tank or a partial volume of water to be drawn out of the tank. In particular, the double trip handle type flush control assembly of the present invention is adaptable for use in any size toilet tank. Further, the flush control assembly of the present invention has been adapted to accommodate a refill tube, which directs water from a ball cock valve into an overflow tube to refill the toilet trapway after flushing.
Abstract: A transfer mattress is provided including a top sheet having a width, a length, and longitudinally oriented peripheral edges and a bottom sheet having the same width, the same length, longitudinally oriented peripheral edges and a plurality of perforations. The longitudinally oriented peripheral edges of the top and bottom sheets are sealingly fastened to one another often by heat sealing. A plurality of baffles, each having a width and a length, are attached to an inner surface of the top sheet and an inner surface of the bottom sheet so as to be transversely oriented between the top sheet and the bottom. The baffles along with the widths of the top and bottom sheets define a radially-outwardly curved perimeter wall that is disposed between an edge of the baffles and the sealed peripheral edges of the top and bottom sheets.
Abstract: A medical table extension device and method has an elongated plate with opposite attachment and support sections. The attachment section extends under a mattress of the medical table to be stabilized by a patient's body weight. The support section extends outwardly from the medical table to support a patient's limb. The plate can include a continuous sheet with at least one bend defining the attachment and support sections of the plate. The attachment and support sections can have upper surfaces disposed at different elevational heights.
