Abstract: A rug for use on a step of a depth less than the width of the rug includes sets of male and female snap locks for engaging an edge of the rug to the surface of the step. Similar sets of snap locks are attached to an opposed edge of the rug for attachment to a riser supporting the step. Sets of hook and loop fasteners may be disposed on opposed edges of the rug intermediate the snap locks to secure the edges to the respective step and riser. Because of the overlap feature of the rug that extends onto the riser, the rug is capable of covering steps of different depth.

After attaching a positive electrode terminal to a belt-shaped electrode, electrolyte layers are formed. This can decrease the number of manufacturing processes after forming electrolyte layers, which effectively prevents that solvents in the electrolyte evaporates or the electrolyte layers are absorbed the water. Thereby, manufacturing yields of the battery can be enhanced, Additionally, a battery excellent in discharge capabilities and stable in voltage can be attained.

Abstract: An index head assembly for a semiconductor device test handler is provided which allows for precise positioning of a device in a test socket, as well as accurate testing of the device once properly positioned in the test socket. The head portion of the index head assembly includes a holding part which absorbs and holds the device using a vacuum force, a heating part which generates heat to maintain the device at the appropriate temperature, and a compliance part which accurately aligns and positions the index head relative to the test socket so that the device may be properly connected to the test socket. The downward force used to connect the semiconductor device to the test socket is controlled by a force transducer, and the temperature of the semiconductor device is accurately controlled through direct heat transfer from an electric heater provided within the head portion of the index head assembly.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming a fuel feed passage in the feed arm of a fuel injector. The method includes the steps of providing a fuel feed passage in the feed arm of a fuel injector, whereby the fuel feed passage has an initial cross-sectional flow area that corresponds with an initial fuel flow velocity, an initial convection heat transfer coefficient and initial localized wetted wall temperatures for the fuel feed passage, for a given fuel flow rate and fuel temperature. The method further includes decreasing the initial cross-sectional flow area of the fuel feed passage so as to increase the fuel flow velocity and the convection heat transfer coefficient for the fuel feed passage, while lowering the localized wetted wall temperatures for the fuel feed passage, without varying the given fuel flow rate and fuel temperature.
