Abstract: Disclosed is a cleaning sheet having a cleaning surface side to be applied to an object to be cleaned. The cleaning surface has second regions along its longer sides and a first region between the second regions. In the first region, an exterior nonwoven fabric is exposed externally; in the second regions, a liquid permeable sheet having a lower density than the exterior nonwoven fabric is exposed externally. Liquid on a floor surface is allowed to pass through the liquid permeable sheet in the second regions and be absorbed by a liquid absorbent sheet. This prevents excess liquid between the exterior nonwoven fabric and the floor surface.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cleaning sheet to be attached to a cleaning head. The cleaning sheet has an attachment sheet dimensioned to cover a nozzle head provided in the cleaning head. Liquid squirted from the nozzle head can be received by the attachment sheet and come between the cleaning head and the cleaning sheet. Since the cleaning sheet has a liquid permeable attachment surface, the liquid having reached the attachment surface can be absorbed by a liquid absorbent sheet of the cleaning sheet and gradually applied to a floor surface to be cleaned.

Abstract: The present invention is directed a nonwoven fabric which is imparted with a three-dimensional image or pattern during the fabrication stage. The three-dimensional image or pattern imparted into the structure of the nonwoven fabric results in a lofty material with particulate capturing recesses or “pockets” which act to entrap and entrain dust. The three-dimensional image or pattern also results in a number of fibrous ends and loops which extend beyond the surface of the recesses or “pockets”, which in turn, improve the nonwoven fabrics ability to effectively collect particulates from the surface of the article to be cleaned or dusted. In conjunction, the recesses and the extended fibrous surface act to effectively remove fine particulates such as dust from articles such as furniture and flooring.

  • Publication number: 20050268421
Abstract: The main invention for this application is the submersed algae killer for fish and corals keeping aquariums. The traditional method of removing hard algae such as coralline alga is just to scrape them off from the glass surface. Not only is scraping hard to perform with existing scrapers on the market, it can also likely to scratch the tank and spread the algae to other parts of the tank. My invention uses two steps to perform the task without getting the hobbyist's hands and arms wet. The algae are being killed first by heating them with boiling water right at the vicinity of the infection. Once the algae are killed, they are not stuck onto the surface as tight as when they are alive. By using the submersed scraper, the second component of the invention, dead algae on the inner surface of the tank can be easily dislodged. Since the algae are dead, the hobbyist does not have to worry about spreading the algae to other parts of the tank.

Abstract: A surface cleaner having a cleaning head. The cleaning head has a deck and a skirt extending from the deck such that when the skirt is placed in contact with the surface to be cleaned, a cleaning volume is defined. The cleaning head has at least one vent port and at least one vacuum port formed therein. Nozzles are mounted in the cleaning volume for movement therein when fluid under pressure is supplied thereto and sprayed therefrom. A liquid supply system supplies the fluid under pressure to the nozzles so that the surface to be cleaned is effectively scrubbed by the fluid to produce a mixture of the fluid and contaminants loosened from the surface to be cleaned. A vacuum recycling system coupled to the vacuum port(s) draws high-pressure air through the vent port(s) and over the surface being sprayed with the liquid under pressure. The mixture of fluid and contaminants is suctioned through the vacuum port(s) and filtered to separate the fluid from the contaminants. The fluid so-separated is then discharged.

Abstract: Method for fabricating a microscale anemometer on a substrate. A sacrificial layer is formed on the substrate, and a metal thin film is patterned to form a sensing element. At least one support for the sensing element is patterned. The sacrificial layer is removed, and the sensing element is lifted away from the substrate by raising the supports, thus creating a clearance between the sensing element and the substrate to allow fluid flow between the sensing element and the substrate. The supports are raised preferably by use of a magnetic field applied to magnetic material patterned on the supports.

Abstract: The electronic component mounting apparatus has a board holding part for holding a circuit board, a mounting mechanism for mounting an electronic component on the circuit board, and a grinding part for grinding a suction surface of a suction nozzle of the mounting mechanism. After mounting of the electronic components on the circuit board are repeated a predetermined number of times, the suction surface is ground. In the electronic component mounting apparatus, by continuously moving the suction nozzle in the Y-direction relative to the grinding part and moving the suction nozzle up and down, and bringing the suction surface of the suction nozzle in intermittent contact with the grinding surface of the grinding member with ultrasonic vibrations applied, the suction surface can be ground while preventing the occurrence of a large deformation of the suction nozzle.

Abstract: A pin detection system detects connection pin insertion in a printed circuit board assembly. The printed circuit board assembly comprises a printed circuit board having multiple wells and one or more connectors having pins that are inserted into the wells of the printed circuit board. The system comprises a conveyer, a stage assembly and a sensor. The conveyer is provided for conveying a printed circuit board assembly under test to an optimal position for conducting inspection. The stage assembly is used for conveying the sensor to specific areas of interest of the printed circuit board assembly under test. The sensor is provided for detecting pin insertion in the wells using a laser beam.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for facilitating validation of component feeder exchanges in pick and place machines are provided. A pre-exchange image of a component from a feeder is acquired and compared with an image a component from the exchanged feeder placed after the feeder exchange. A comparison of the pre-exchange image with the post-exchange image facilitates simple and quick feeder exchange validation. Aspects of the present invention are practicable with different types of pick and place machines, and are able to advantageously use sensors and/or technician supplied information to generate automatic indications of feeder exchange validity.
