Abstract: A metal frame for a building structure includes a structural beam, such as a truss, and a tubular purlin or trellis attached to the beam. The tubular purlin includes a configured end matably engaging a side of the beam and an attachment tab extending longitudinally from the configured end. The configured end and the attachment tab both are integrally formed from material of the tubular purlin. The structural attachment tab supports the configured end on the structural beam and structurally attaches the tubular purlin to the structural beam. In one form, the tubular purlin includes a wall section that covers an open end of the tubular beam. In another form, the configured end defines an angled recess setting the particular orientation of the beam relative to the purlin. In yet another form, interlock hooks are provided on the attachment tab.

Abstract: My invention, the Shear Wall Aspect Ratio Reducing Frame is a simple, economical, efficient, easy to install device that allows greater oppotunity and flexibility in the size and location of openings in the walls of wood frame constructed buildings particularly houses. The ARRF would replace the commercial, pre-fabricated systems now in use which are costly and inefficient labor-intensive shear wall devices. The ARRF achieves its goal by reducing the moment arm in the overturning equations that are used to determine the uplift forces in a shear wall. The ARRF reduces forces in walls rather than increase their bulk which is the strategic concept now in use throughout the design professions and the construction industry to solve the aspect ratio problem.

The inside of the beam has a metal layer that is over wrapped with at least one laminae. Disposed within the beam is a pair of dividers that allow for a pressurized volume or a least one pressure vessel. There is an access port through the beam for accessing the pressure vessel. The composite nature of the beam allows the beam to be relatively lightweight, but strong enough to support a load. By having the pressure vessel inside the beam, space is optimized. Furthermore the beam provides a measure of protection for the pressure vessel and any inhabitants of the spacecraft should the pressure vessel leak or explode.

Abstract: A method for controlling an agricultural working machine includes the step of assigning a route planning system (7) to the agricultural working machine (2) for generating driving routes (8) in a territory (1). The route planning system (7) subdivides the territory (1) into a worked territory (13) and a remaining territory area (14), and at least one parameter (17) of the agricultural working machine (2) is adapted as a function of the shape of the worked territory (13) and/or the remaining territory area (14). In this manner it is ensured that the working method of the agricultural working machine (2) or its working attachments (6) is adaptable to the shape of the particular territory (13, 14) to ensure economically efficient use of the agricultural working machine (2). A device for controlling an agricultural working machine also is provided.

Abstract: Lawn mower includes a cutter housing covering a grass-cutting cutter blade, and a grass bag, detachably attachable to a rear portion of the cutter housing, for collecting therein grass clippings. The cutter housing includes a grass clipping delivery passage for directing grass clippings to the grass bag with carrier air produced by rotation of the cutter blade, and an exhaust air return passage for returning only the carrier air, as exhaust air, from the grass bag to the cutter housing. The exhaust air is caused to flow, through a netted member provided on an upper surface of the grass bag, back into the cutter housing via the exhaust air return passage provided adjacent to, and extending substantially perpendicularly to, the grass clipping delivery passage.

Abstract: A feed roller primarily for feeding crop into a feeder house of a combine harvester is located above and behind a feed draper and includes an outer flight and retractable fingers for feeding the crop through the zone behind the draper and into the feeder house. The fingers rotate about a finger axis offset from the roller axis so that they extend to a maximum at the draper and are retracted behind the roller to release the crop. When the roller is reversed to release a blockage, the fingers are also reversed in direction and the finger axis is moved rearwardly to the opposite side of the roller so that the fingers are extended behind the roller at the feeder house and retracted at the draper. This movement is done automatically on reversing the roller and uses power from the reversal to move the finger axis using a clutch. An anti-distortion wheel is mounted on the finger shaft to prevent retraction of the finger ends into the roller which can cause damage by loss of proper guidance.
