Abstract: A mask having a mask arc and a mask body is disclosed. The mask arc includes a lower arc and an elastic strip, the two side ends of the lower arc are mounted with the elastic strip and an engaging slot is located between the side ends and the external sides of the two ends of the lower arc are provided with a protruded seat and the surface of the protruded seat has radially distributed protruded strips and a through hole is formed on the center of the protruded seat; the mask is formed as one unit and the upper edge of the mask is horizontally extended to form a blocking plate and the two ends of the inner side of the mask at the upper side are provided with the protruded block corresponding to the protruded seat at the lower arc, and the surface of the protruded block is provided with radially arranged recess and the center of the protruded block is provided with a through opening.

Abstract: A welding face covering such as a digital welding helmet includes a face protector which would be located in front of the welder's eyes. The inner surface of the face protector has a digital viewing screen. A digital lens is mounted externally of the face protector for viewing the welding site. The digital lens transmits an image of the welding site to the viewing screen. As a result, the welder can view the welding site by looking at the screen rather than looking through a viewing window of the face covering or helmet.

Abstract: A sports glove comprising a dorsal side and at least one joint protector. The dorsal side provides a plurality of protection sections and the joint protectors positioned between the plurality of protection sections. The joint protector includes a base operatively attached to the dorsal side and a plurality of extended members attached to the base and projecting from the base. The joint protector substantially fills any apertures created in the sports glove by a user of the glove during participation in sports. The extended members of the joint protector deflect independently of the protection sections and can be biased toward the protection sections to substantially fill any apertures between the protection sections.

Abstract: The medical utility mitten is designed for use in hospital, homes and facilities where medical attention is provided. The invention encases the fingers, hand and arm, providing protection from contaminants from a sensitive area or medical device. The medical utility glove protects a patient's intravenous plug (IV) without the feeder tube, whether located on the hand or the arm, while showering or bathing. There may be additional uses. The invention is designed to allow maximum use of hand and fingers, while providing leeway in the remainder of its design to easily fit over a protected area. Once placed over the extremity, it remains in place through the use of an elastic band that secures the glove position, midway between the wrist and the elbow, by wrapping securely around the arm. The invention is ambidextrous and has multiple sizes, dependent upon the body of the user.

Abstract: The breast-cancer recovery system comprises a breast cancer recovery garment, an organizational subsystem and a needs kit. The breast cancer recovery garment comprises a body portion defining an opening, positioned, configured and dimensioned to allow the performance of a breast cancer treatment procedure and a closure device suitable for closing the opening when a procedure is not being performed. The body portion of the garment defines the elongated pocket proximate the bottom edge, extending along the bottom edge and defines slits in at least one of the sleeves. The body portion of the recovery garment comprises of a warm material and/or of decorative pattern. The organizational subsystem comprises a frame configured to support a plurality of color-coded files, and marked with identification tabs which relate to breast cancer patient needs, and customized medical information.

Abstract: A wearable garment including a front panel and an interconnected rear panel. Each of the panels exhibits a substantially rectangular shape and is constructed of an absorbent material, such as terrycloth or the like. Inter-engaging button and snap fasteners are located in spaced apart fashion along opposing and extending side edges associated with the front and rear panels and to conjoin the front and rear panels together. A hood is constructed of a moisture absorbent material and extends from between the front and rear panels, an aperture being defined within the hood such that it covers a head and neck of a wearer of the garment. In an alternate embodiment, the hood is substituted by a substantially “V” shaped aperture.

Abstract: Swimwear as an information device is provided wherein by prominently displaying international signal flags on said swimwear, a wearer can convey messages to others as prescribed by the International Code of Signals.

Abstract: A removable hat accessory, having a display object and an attaching device. The display object has an opening extending axially and upwardly from a bottom thereof. The attaching device has a fastener for holding the attaching device to the display object, and a spring member for removably attaching the hat accessory to a button of a hat or a cap. To attach the hat accessory to the hat, the lower portion of the spring is slid under the hat button.

Abstract: In combination, an infant garment and a removable bib. The infant garment is formed of washable fabric material and shaped to fit over a torso of an infant. A front panel of the infant garment bears a first decorative design permanently applied thereon which defines a first decorative perimeter border. The bib is also formed of washable fabric material and bears a second decorative design permanently applied thereon which defined a second perimeter border substantially identical to that of the first decorative design. The first and second decorative designs being substantially identical one to another. A releasable attachment between the bib and the first perimeter of the first decorative design preferably facilitates self-alignment whereby a decorative appearance of the infant garment is substantially similar when said bib is either attached atop the first decorative design to prevent soiling of said first decorative design or detached therefrom.

The system includes a folded shirt having buttons down the front thereof; a tie; and an elongated strap defining first and second loops wherein the folded shirt is disposed in the first loop and the tie is disposed in the second loop. The method includes the steps of providing a strap having a first side and an opposite second side extending between first and second ends; attaching the tie to the neck area of the folded shirt; positioning the tie along the folded shirt; wrapping the strap around the folded shirt; attaching the first end of the strap to the second side at a first location proximal to the second end and attaching the second end of the strap to the first side at a second location proximal to the first end to thereby define a main loop containing the folded shirt and a second loop suitable for containing a portion of the tie; and inserting the tie into the second loop.

A watch head with an outer peripheral groove in an outer perimeter matching an inner edge of the frame is snapped into the holding frame with the frame tabs snapping into the watch groove.

Abstract: A structure of a glove is disclosed that includes a first material element and a second material element. The material elements are separate from each other and positioned adjacent each other, and the material elements are joined with a stitchless configuration, that may be a stitchless seam. An adhesive element may be secured to each of the first material element and the second material element to form the stitchless configuration. The adhesive element may be a polymer, and more particularly, may be a thermoplastic polymer.

Abstract: A disposable glove dispensing apparatus includes an apparatus support and a disposable glove roll holder supported by the apparatus support. A disposable glove roll is retained on the disposable glove roll holder. The disposable glove roll includes a plurality of individual disposable gloves retained on a continuous glove carrier strip assembly. An electric motor is supported by the apparatus support for unrolling the glove carrier strip assembly and for positioning disposable gloves in a glove access region. A motor-actuator button is electrically connected to the electric motor for actuating the electric motor. With one embodiment of the invention, the disposable gloves can be in the form of five-fingered gloves. With another embodiment of the invention, the disposable gloves can be in the form of mitts.

Abstract: A polychloroprene article comprises a polymer which is more readily chlorinatable that polychloroprene. A method of making the article comprises forming the article from an aqueous dispersion or solution of polychloroprene, chracterised in that one or more polymers which are more readily chlorinatable than polychloroprene are included in said dispersion or solution. Preferably, the article is a polychloroprene glove containing carboxylated nitrile rubber, carboxylated styrene butadiene or polyisoprene.

Abstract: A specialty hat is constructed with a crown having one or more holes through an upper portion of the crown, where the holes are dimensioned to receive a portion of the hat wearer's hair that is positioned through the hole. Pluralities of decorations are interchangeably and selectively removably attached to the crown adjacent the holes where the decorations appear to be attached to the hair positioned through the holes.

Abstract: Headwear adapted to be selectively worn as a head band, head scarf or a kerchief, includes a visor as an integral part for shielding the face of the wearer from the elements. The headwear is formed of a bandanna or other generally similarly shaped fabric or cloth member with a visor or brim sewn between folds of the material on the bias so as to project forwardly from the brow of the wearer when the bandanna is put in place on the head of the wearer. The visor is formed of a relatively thin, semi-stiff yet foldable material such as a poly vinyl to provide the desired shielding effect to the wearer while enabling the headwear to be folded for convenient carrying in the pocket, handbag or the like of a person when not in use.

Abstract: A garment includes a scarf, a first muff, and a second muff. The scarf is configured to be wrapped around a person's neck in the traditional manner. Each of the muffs include a pocket for generally receiving one of the hands of the person wearing the garment. The garment preferably includes a coupler for maintaining an abutting relationship between the muffs. The garment can also include first and second ornamental extensions that are respectively connected to the first and second muffs.

Abstract: A pleated skirt is disclosed which includes a waistband assembly having a rear segment and two front segments, and a composite pleated skirt assembly having front, side, and rear pleats attached to the waistband assembly, an adjustable pleat at each side of the skirt to accommodate different wearer sizes, an inner front panel connected to a front segment of the waistband assembly, and an outer front panel connected to another front segment of the waistband assembly, snaps connected to the front panels to detachably connect them together, for attachment and detachment of the kilt from a wearer. The front inner panel has front pleats that step down incrementally, the front pleats and front inner panel are sewn together to create a funnel shape, and the outer panel has a plurality of stepped pleats. A plurality of hooks and loops of a cord are engageable with a rear pleat and the front panels for pulling the kilt together to provide a modesty system.

Abstract: A double waistband for use on a maternity garment that can be worn at all stages of a pregnancy is described. The waistband has a lower component which has an outer surface and an inner surface. The outer surface is made of a fabric having a low degree of stretchiness or flexibility. The inner surface is made of a fabric having a high degree of stretchiness. The other part of the double waistband is an upper waistband component which is made of a flexible fabric. The upper and lower waistband components are connected or sewn together to form a contiguous single waistband. The outer surface of the lower waistband component is a stretch-woven fabric and the inner surface of the lower waistband is a knit fabric. The upper waistband component can be made from a jersey knit fabric. The lower waistband goes around a woman's waist at the same location as would the waistband of a normal pair of pants.

Abstract: A face shield for headgear comprises a generally transparent main lens, adapted for engagement to the headgear. The main lens comprises a curved inner and outer main lens surfaces and has a central recessed portion with a curved recessed inner lens surface and a curved recessed outer lens surface. The recessed inner lens surface and the recessed outer lens surface are respectively offset from the curved inner and outer main lens surfaces. The recessed portion is adapted to receive a secondary lens such that a sealed air gap is formed between the secondary lens and the main lens, thereby forming a sealed double pane lens having condensation reduction properties.

The garment patch can be a single patch, or alternatively, it can be distributed in bulk quantities, such as multiple patches attached together on a roll of patches. The garment patch can be secured to the thigh portion of the pants prior to the initiation of work. The garment patch should be secured to the thigh portion of the pants prior to beginning work activities. At the end of work activities, or at the wwearer'selection, the patch can be removed. Alternative embodiments provide discrete patches or rolls of patches which can be dispensed as needed.

After detecting a human face and setting a chin detecting window at a lower part of the image, an edge strength distribution is calculated within the chin detecting window and pixels having an edge strength with a threshold value or more are detected based on the edge strength distribution. Then an approximated curve is obtained to most match a distribution of each of the detected pixels and a lowermost part of the approximated curve is identified as the lower base of the chin of the human face. Thereby the chin lower base of the human face can be detected automatically, accurately and quickly.

Abstract: The invention provides a pair of goggles for swimming or diving or surfing and a manufacturing method thereof. The goggles comprise of two frames, two lenses and strap. The lenses and the frames are moulded integrally by a high rigid PC and a silica gel material. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: To put the PC lenses inside the soft veil-shaped cavity; To inject a soft veil silica gel material into the cavity, when the injecting temperature is controlled below 250° C. and the injecting pressure is controlled at 50 T/cm2. Since the goggle is a kind of once moulded product, the manufacturing processes are reduced, and the waterproof and gas-proof effect is effectively increased.

Abstract: This invention provides swimming goggles that improve the field of vision, and particularly improve the field of vision while swimming. The eye cup 2 comprises: a contact section that comes in contact with the area surrounding the eye; a peripheral section 6 that is located around that contact section and that, when worn, extends a specified distance forward in the viewing direction; and a forward-viewing section 7 that is arranged such that the bottom is located on the front end section of the bottom of the peripheral section 6, and the top is located on or near the aforementioned contact section. Also, a difficult-viewing section 14 is located at least at the bottom part of the peripheral section 6 below the center position of the forward-viewing section 7 such that it is more difficult to see through than the top portion of the forward-viewing section 7, which makes it possible to improve the field of vision as well as makes it possible to swim without sensing the light refraction.

Abstract: This invention is an upper body protection system for contact sport players with an external semi-rigid articulating system comprised of a Collar, a Sternal Plate, a Back Plate and three Epaulets on each side. The entire system is designed to protect the shoulders and upper body by dissipating the force of a blow and then redirecting the residual force to the strongest load bearing parts of the body behind and on the sides of the neck where the collar section rests. The system protects areas of the upper body (namely the plexus of nerves exiting at the sides of the neck [Erb's Point]; the collar bone [clavicle]; the A-C joint [Acromio-Clavicular Joint]; the shoulder blades [Scapulae]; the spine; the breast bone [sternum]; the ribs; and underlying vital organs that are prone to injury. The system offers maximum protection while also allowing almost complete freedom of movement.

The sensor section (56) detects the presence of a person in front of the toilet bowl (14). The control section (56) receives a detection signal from the sensor section (54) and initiates a flush signal to the actuating mechanism (58), which actuates the flush valve (22).

One embodiment of the invention comprises a locking member, a first arm assembly, a clamp assembly, a second arm assembly, and, at least one locking plate. The first and the second arm assemblies and the locking plate are mounted on the locking member, whereas the clamp assembly is attached to the locking member. The locking member comprises a plurality of teeth, to which the locking plate is selectively engageable.

A plurality of access passageways are disposed around the circumference of the perimeter frame member, and permit access of a carriage to the rotatable turntable track member from ceiling tracks and from the rotatable turntable track member to ceiling tracks. A motor or rope is used to rotate the rotatable turntable track member about the vertical central pivot axis to alignment with a selected one of the plurality of access passageways, to thereby permit access by a carriage having a patient lift mechanism suspended therefrom.
