Abstract: To construct solenoid valves used as a solenoid assembly by assembling the solenoid valves in a group so that both collective wiring and individual wiring can be performed and the solenoid valves can be simultaneously cut off from a collective wiring power supply and an individual wiring power supply. An individually receiving connector for connecting an individual feeding connector, a switching member being able to be freely shifted between a first operational position where the connection of the individual feeding connector to the individual receiving connector is prohibited and a second operational position where the connection is allowed, and a switch operating in response to operation of the switching member are provided in a solenoid valve connected to a power supply by collective wiring.

Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve for braking force systems in motor vehicles, has a valve housing, with tappet element axially displaceable in the housing cooperating with a valve body and forming a sealing seat at a sealing face. The valve housing has a plurality of radially extending pressure medium outlet bores which are covered by a filter element. The disposition and embodiment of the outlet bores results in a flow course for the pressure medium that reduces the flow resistance of the valve and thus improves the valve properties.

Abstract: A non-refillable valve is provided that allows for an initial filling of a container, but prevents subsequent refilling of the container. In one embodiment, the valve includes a valve core having a retaining means for maintaining the valve core in an open or non-sealing position to allow flow through the valve and filling of the container. The valve core may then be advanced to seal the container, and subsequently selectively operated to discharge the container as desired. Further refilling of the container is prevented by the force of fluid reentering the valve which forces the valve core to its seated engagement with the valve seat.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bistable-type solenoid valve, composed by a valve assembly including a valve seat and a valve-seat orifice and a solenoid assembly including a coil that houses, at least partly, a valve member displaceable by an electromagnetic force generated by a coil, a magnet and an adjustment element adjacent the magnet. The valve member, upon being displaced, travels a distance in the direction of the valve-seat orifice until said orifice is obstructed, thus causing the valve to close, or in the opposite direction so as to clear said orifice, thus causing the valve to open. The adjustment element of the solenoid assembly adjusts the distance, thus enabling one to compensate the variations of dimensions of the parts that compose the solenoid assembly, so that such variations will not impair the good operation of the valve.

Abstract: A sanitary diaphragm valve is provided that includes a generally dome shaped diaphragm having a central boss that can be connected to or driven by a valve actuator. The diaphragm includes an outer peripheral edge and a relatively thin web portion that connects the boss to the outer edge. In one embodiment, the web portion is arcuate or dome shaped. The thinner web portion permits the diaphragm to have an extended cycle life and to permit the valve to operate at higher fluid pressures. The thin web may be defined by two different contoured surfaces, one convex and the other concave, such as formed by two radiuses. A valve body is provided that includes a bowl shaped valve cavity. This valve cavity includes an outer vertical edge to permit more thorough cleaning and to eliminate entrapment areas. The valve assembly provides support surfaces for the diaphragm that reduces stress on the diaphragm particularly at higher operating pressures.

Abstract: A plurality of diffused resistors and a plurality of wirings (resistive elements) are alternately disposed along a virtual line, and those diffused resistors and wirings are connected in series by contact vias. In the same wiring layer as that of the wirings, a dummy pattern is formed so as to surround a formation region of the wirings and the diffused resistors. A space between the dummy pattern and the wirings is set in accordance with, for example, a minimum space between wirings in a chip formation portion.

Abstract: The invention provides a technique to manufacture a display device with high image quality and reliability at low cost with high yield. According to the invention, a spacer is provided over a pixel electrode layer in a pixel region. Moreover, a surface of an insulating layer which functions as a partition which covers the periphery of the pixel electrode layer is formed at a high position from the surface of the pixel electrode due to stacked layers under the insulating layer. These spacer and insulator which function as a spacer support a mask used for selectively forming a light emitting material over a pixel electrode layer, thereby preventing the mask from contacting the pixel electrode layer due to a twist and deflection of the mask. Accordingly, such a damage as a crack does not occur in the pixel electrode layer which results in having no defect in shape. Therefore, a display device which performs a high resolution display with high reliability can be manufactured.

Abstract: The present invention improves the aperture ratio of a pixel of a reflection-type display device or a reflection type display device without increasing the number of masks and without using a blackmask. A pixel electrode (167) is arranged so as to partially overlap a source wiring (137) for shielding the gap between pixels from light, and a thin film transistor is arranged so as to partially overlap a gate wiring (166) for shielding a channel region of the thin film transistor from light, thereby realizing a high pixel aperture ratio.

Abstract: Methods for fabricating a wafer structure having a strained silicon utility layer are described. In an embodiment, the method includes providing a prototype wafer having at least a support substrate and a strained silicon model layer upon the support substrate, and then providing a relaxed silicon-germanium layer on the strained silicon model layer. Next, a strained silicon utility layer is provided on the relaxed silicon-germanium layer to form an intermediate structure. The strained silicon utility layer has substantially the same characteristics as the strained silicon model layer. The method also includes detaching the strained silicon utility layer from the intermediate structure at a predetermined zone of weakness in the relaxed silicon-germanium layer to form a wafer structure having a strained silicon utility layer.

Abstract: On a light shielding film 7, an anti-oxidation layer 9 covering at least the light shielding film 7 is formed. The anti-oxidation layer 9 is formed under a condition which does not oxidize a surface of the light shielding film 7. The anti-oxidation layer 9 is formed of a high melting point metal compound film having a light shielding property or an insulating film having a light transmissive property. Thus, the scattering ratio of the incident light at the surface of the light shielding film 7 can be uniform among all the pixels, and as a result, a solid state imaging device having suppressed sensitivity non-uniformity can be realized. Since the surface of the light shielding film 7 is not oxidized, the thickness of the light shielding film 7 can be reduced. Thus, the present invention can comply with the demand for size reduction of the pixels.
