Abstract: The object of this invention is an automatic air-filter changing system for use in light commercial and residential high-volume air conditioner (HVAC) systems. This invention uses a filter housing that connects to the air return portion of HVAC systems, either in-line (by splicing the air return duct) or as part of the heating/cooling coil structure. The filter housing contains a drive-motor and drive-motor control unit. Within the filter housing, a filter cartridge is placed. The filter cartridge comprises a supply container, a collection container, and filter material. The filter material is initially stored in the supply container of the filter cartridge. The drive-motor of the filter housing advances the filter material from the supply container of the filter cartridge to the collection container of the filter cartridge. The drive-motor control unit controls the frequency and length of filter material advancement.

Abstract: A cold method of heated distillation by manipulating bubbles, and cold distillate condensation is described. The continuous method introduces counter-current gas bubbles to a solution under vacuum at cold temperatures, using passive bubble manipulation. This approach accomplishes volatile evaporation at temperatures too low for thermal damage to occur, scrubs distilland mist from evaporated distillate, and condenses distillate by adding little or no heat. The method operates between freezing and ambient temperatures, but primarily near freezing, thus reducing energy consumption, and completely avoiding common thermal damage to delicate aroma, flavor, color, and nutritional distillate constituents that are characteristic of conventional aroma or essence extraction, food or drink concentrations, and chemical separation processes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an expansion system using a plasma discharge in which in which a charged electric energy is fast discharged, so that a high pressure is generated within liquid based on an impact wave, which can be used in various industrial fields as a simple expanding method. The expansion system using a plasma discharge comprises a capsule for sealingly storing a certain liquid therein; a cable of which one end is connected with an expansion wire within a liquid of the capsule, and other end is connected to the outside of the capsule; and a controller that converts an external AC power inputted through a terminal into a DC power and indicates the power on a lamp and a voltage meter and applies a high voltage energy to the cable in cooperation with an operation of the push button, wherein an expansion is instantly achieved in the interior of the liquid.

The bridge plate includes a substantially continuous top surface and is formed as a composite of a plurality of materials. The bridge plate includes a plurality of longitudinal sections extending from a bottom surface of the bridge plate, the sections formed by combining glass fibers and resin that enclose a foam plastic core, resulting in a lighter weight bridge plate than industry standard bridge plates. A traction surface can be integrally formed on the top surface. The bridge plate can include at least one handle. The assembly can also include a pin assembly for rotatingly engaging the bridge plate assembly to a railcar. The pin assembly can include a handle portion accessible from a top surface and/or the bottom surface of the bridge plate.
