  • Patent number: 7063086
Abstract: A valve for use in a CPAP system or any stem at a pressure above ambient which vents the pressurised gases from the blower during expiration. Due to the pressure-flow characteristics of the blower this results in the patient having a much lower airway pressure during expiration making breathing easier. The valve includes a movable member which blocks flow from the blower to the patient during exhalation and vents externally. During inhalation gases flow normally from the blower to the patient. Also disclosed is a further application as an antiasphyxia.

  • Patent number: 7063088
Abstract: A tube holder assembly and method for securing an endotracheal tube to a biteline of a patient's mouth. The tube holder assembly features a tube body. A bite support assembly, coupled to the tube body, receives a tensile force and supplies a compressive force to the mouth of the patient. The bite support assembly includes a pair of substantially parallel bite walls extending outwardly from the exterior surface of the tube body. The bite walls define a bite rest therebetween for receiving a biteline of the patient's mouth and thus securing the biteline between a pair of bite walls as the bite rest applies a compressive force to the biteline.

  • Patent number: 7063105
Abstract: The improved structure for the water inlet and outlet of faucet valve base has a partially setting horizontal partition membrane in the cold and warm water inlets and the outlet, and reduces their size. Since there is some distance between the partition membrane and the top and the bottom of the inlets as well as outlet, the water can change its running direction. This can make the outlet direction of the outlet closer to the outlet channel of the valve groove of the faucet. Therefore, the length of the outlet channel can be effectively reduced and another water extension channel between the outlet of the valve base and the outlet of the faucet is not required. This can make it easier to be manufactured, reduces the cost, and decreases environmental pollution.

  • Patent number: 7063124
Abstract: An insert having a peripheral contact surface is received by a roller tube channel to engage a shade fabric. The insert is adjustable to compress the shade fabric within the channel. The insert may include a body having opposite side edges and at least one elongated slot. The insert member may include pivotable prongs or deflectable slot walls adjacent the slots. Pivoting of the prongs or deflection of the slot walls urges the body toward a channel side wall to compress the shade fabric. The insert may, alternatively, include a body having diametrically opposite portions respectively defining a curved outer periphery and a planar outer periphery, the body being wider between the curved portions. The insert is pivotable about an axis to grip the shade fabric between a channel side wall and one of the curved portions of the body.

Abstract: A thermal interface for IC chip cooling is provided. One embodiment of the thermal interface includes a thermally conductive liquid or paste-like metal(s) disposed within a flexible, thermally conductive enclosure. The enclosure is adapted to be placed between an IC chip and a heat sink to enhance heat transfer from the chip to the heat sink, thereby enabling quicker and more efficient cooling of the chip than can be achieved by conventional techniques. In several embodiments, the thermal interface is held in place by mechanical pressure rather than by bonding, which further facilitates inspection and repair of the IC device.

Abstract: A drum type heat exchanger for effectively ventilating and purifying room air of a factory, a building or a house and the like is described. The drum type heat exchanger has heat transfer means with a drum shape and thus an entire size is reduced as much as possible and become compact, such that a handling and an installation is easy, a thermal efficiency to an installation space of the heat transfer means is maximized, and overall maintenance and repair such as a check or exchange of the heat transfer means are easy. Additionally, the drum type heat exchanger uses a drum with a short radius of rotation so that an entire operation cycle time is shortened and a heat transfer area is sufficiently secured in order to keep the thermal efficiency high.

  • Patent number: 7063131
Abstract: Perforated fins are provided to improve the capabilities of fin and tube type heat exchangers, and to adapt them for flow outside of the tube that is essentially parallel to the axis of the tube. The fins are made of a thermally conductive material, such as metal, with perforations in the fins. Fins can be of any shape. Typically, one or more tubes or binding posts pass through the fins. The fins are attached to the tube or post by press fitting, furnace or torch brazing, welding, or other method of mechanical bonding. The perforations allow heat exchange with the contents of a tube of a fluid flowing essentially parallel to the axis of the tube, in contrast to conventional fin-tube heat exchangers. The fins may also be bonded to a post or other securing means and inserted into the inside of a tube or other hollow body to improve efficiency of heat exchange. In addition, the fins may carry a catalyst, optionally carried on a washcoat or similar treatment to increase surface area.
