Publication number: 20060130699Abstract: Magnetic levitation methods and apparatus use arrays of vehicle magnets to provide three forces: suspension, guidance and propulsion. The magnets, which can be permanent magnets or superconducting magnets operating in the persistent current mode, have associated control coils that allow the magnets to provide a controllable attractive force to a laminated steel rail. The control coils adjust the gap between the magnets and the rails so as to be in stable equilibrium without requiring significant power dissipation in the control coils. These same magnets and steel rails also provide lateral guidance to keep the vehicle on the track and steer the vehicle on turns. The suspension control coils can provide lateral damping by means of offset magnets in the suspension arrays. Windings in transverse slots in the steel rails are excited with currents that react against the field produced by the vehicle magnets to create vehicle propulsion.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2006Publication date: June 22, 2006Applicant: MAGNEMOTION, INC.Inventors: Richard Thornton, Tracy Clark

Publication number: 20060130704Abstract: Synthetic asphalt and petroleum asphalt modified synthetic asphalt emulsions which contain recycled tire rubber and processes for making the emulsions at temperatures above ambient or room temperature. These emulsions may contain significant quantities of recycled tire rubber and recycled and reclaimed motor oils and fluxes. In addition, aluminum chloride and ferric chloride may be used in clay-in-water solutions to form emulsifying agents for the synthetic asphalt and modified synthetic asphalt mixtures.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2005Publication date: June 22, 2006Inventor: John Partanen

Publication number: 20060130705Abstract: There is provided a dispersing liquid for a protective film and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of a dispersing liquid for forming a protective film of a plasma display panel comprises adding a MgO powder to a mixed liquid of a solvent and a dispersing agent, forming a first liquid by milling a mixed liquid of the solvent and the dispersing agent to which the MgO powder is added, forming a second liquid comprising a coupling agent and milling the first liquid and the second liquid. Therefore, it is possible to improve a discharge characteristic of a protective film and an adhesive force between a protective film and a dielectric layer due to uniform dispersion of additives by comprising a MgO powder and a coupling agent.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2005Publication date: June 22, 2006Inventor: Young Kim
