Abstract: The present invention pertains to a process for manufacturing expanded metal provided with a coating, characterized in that the coating is applied to a closed metal foil and this is converted into expanded metal only after the coating. In particular, the coating may be a coating that improves the adhesiveness of the expanded metal to an electrode material and/or the electron conductivity on the surface of the expanded metal. Such expanded metals can be advantageously used as current collectors in or for an anode foil or in or for a cathode foil, e.g., in an electrochemical cell, especially in a battery.

Abstract: The lubrication process for a wire wrap hand tool can be improved by including a lubrication mechanism in the tool housing. In one such tool, the lubrication mechanism is an opening positioned in the housing that allows the needle portion of a syringe to pass into the housing near a moveable component of the drive assembly of the tool. The syringe then can dispense an appropriate amount of lubricant in order to properly lubricate the component(s) of the drive assembly without having to disassemble the tool. This approach can prevent the loss or contamination of parts internal to the tool, while preventing a loss of productivity due to the disassembly and reassembly of the tool.

The linear moving capacitance sensor is located inside the display unit cover positioned to face the fixed capacitance sensor. The fixed capacitive sensor and linear moving capacitive sensors are facing toward each other only, and do not make direct physical contact with the fixed capacitor sensor when the height gauge is operating in upward and downward movements. The fixed and moving capacitive sensors are instead making only electrical contact with each other when the height gauge is making upward and downward movements.
