Abstract: The present invention is a combination squeegee (i.e., a scraper) and hand trowel tool. The tool can be conveniently used to first remove a material from a can, bucket or other material container and then used to spread the material evenly on a surface or substrate. The tool has a blade having a curved edge portion for removing material from cans or buckets and a separate notched edge portion (preferably with indentations or serrations) for evenly spreading the material on a surface. The invention further contemplates a method of using the tool to remove material from a can, bucket or container and applying the material to a surface.

  • Publication number: 20060272121
Abstract: A motorized vacuum brush head for use with a vacuum. The brush head has a body with an air passage passing though it. The face of the brush head faces the surface being cleaned. A rotatable brush and the air passage mouth are on the face. The brush is flat and has an axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the face. The brush rotates parallel to and substantially co-planar with the face. Several arms of bristles extend radially from the brush's axis of rotation. As the brush rotates, the leading edge of the bristles drive debris toward the mouth, where it becomes entrained in the air stream entering the vacuum. The rotation of the brush in the plane of the face allows the bristles to remain in continuous contact with the surface being cleaned, thereby increasing the efficiency with which the brush head, and by extension, the vacuum clean.

Abstract: In a conventional operating handle for an operating machine, the two ends of a vibration-proof rubber are sandwiched between a handle rod and a grip bar, thereby connecting the handle rod and grip bar. The vibration of the handle rod is absorbed by the torsion of the vibration-proof rubber. As a result, the vibration of the handle rod can only be reduced rather than eliminated. In the present invention, a grip bar is attached rotatably to the upper end of a handle rod so as to be capable of a rocking motion, and the swing shock generated when the grip bar oscillates is absorbed by a stopper rubber provided on the handle rod. Thus the vibration of the grip bar can be absorbed efficiently by the rockable rotatably attached portion and the stopper rubber.

The substrate assembly is formed by wrapping and taping a mat around a catalytic substrate. A predetermined pressure is applied to the substrate assembly and an outer diameter of the substrate assembly is measured at this predetermined pressure. A GBD value is predicted based on this measurement and if the GBD value is acceptable the substrate assembly is stuffed into the converter outer shell.

Abstract: A gel-dispensing disposable razor comprising a transparent plastic tubular handle with forked supports at one end, and a multi-bladed cartridge pivotally attached to the forked supports of the handle. A packet of shaving gel is resident in a reservoir formed in the handle, and a positive displacement pumping mechanism allows finger-operated extrusion of the gel out of the module, through the handle into a pivoting manifold which spreads the gel outward around the cartridge. The gel is extruded from the handle through the manifold which evenly extrudes the gel into laminar flow paths that emanate outward from around the pivoting cartridge. All of the tubular handle, carriage, manifold and positive displacement pumping mechanism are molded plastic components for cost-effective mass production. Moreover, the transparent handle provides an indication of the amount of gel left therein, and is further equipped with a series of spaced rubberized annular ribs to provide a sure hand-grip.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cigar cutter with a safety device which comprises a casing and a blade. The casing has a through hole in the middle. The blade is connected to a grip, which is disposed outside the casing. It also comprises a movable ring, one end of which is connected to near the middle part of the casing, and which can rotate at least 180°. The casing and the grip have a groove along their peripherals. The shape and size of the groove correspond to the shape and thickness of the movable ring, the shape and size of which correspond to and can fit onto the casing and the grip. This invention is of simple construction and is safe and reliable, convenient to use and portable and it meets the market demands.

Thus, the blade is folded into the opening of the housing when not in use, thereby preventing the blade from causing danger to the user. In addition, the blade holder is juxtaposed to the housing when being folded to largely reduce the volume of the foldable knife, thereby facilitating the user carrying the foldable knife.

Abstract: This invention relates to an actuator in a knife that controls the movement of the blade between an open and alternatively closed position. The knife generally consists of a blade having a tang extending outwardly from the blade; a handle having a guide; a bar connecting the tang and the handle; an actuator engaging the blade, wherein movement of the actuator is limited by the guide of the handle. In another embodiment, the handle includes an arrestor which impedes the movement of the blade or actuator until sufficient force is applied to break past the arrestor. Generally, in the present invention, force must be applied to the actuator to initiate movement of the blade whereupon the actuator moves into a position to stop the blade from further movement.

The blade assembly has an orthogonally configurable lattice of cutting blades sized and shaped to fit within a food preparation container for sectioning and displaying the food preparation. A plurality of hinge connections hingedly connect the cutting blades providing structure for pivotally changing the relationship between the cutting blades from the orthogonal arrangement to a substantially coplanar arrangement for storage. The end portions of the cutting blades are angled to compensate for angularity of the upright side of the food preparation container during use.
