Abstract: A toenail clipper is provided that includes a two cutting members. A cam is attached to one cutting member and a leverage arm is pivotally attached to the other cutting member. The leverage arm engages the cam to provide amplified force to cut various items like thickened toenails and fingernails. A handle is also included that is connected to the leverage arm. The handle includes non-slip gripping material to prevent slippage during use of the clippers.

Abstract: A razor has a hollow handle in which a pressurized dispensing container is mounted to dispense shaving cream. The valve end of the container is positioned at the lower end of the handle so that gravity feed is employed to provide shaving cream at the valve. The dispensing valve is in communication with a dispensing opening at the end of the handle. The valve is spring loaded into a normally closed state. An opening at the upper end of the handle lets the user apply a finger to the base of the dispenser to push the dispenser down. When pushed down, the valve stem abuts against a rim at the dispensing opening of the razor thereby moving the valve into its open state. Shaving cream is thus dispensed through the bore of the valve stem and the dispensing opening at the end of the handle.

Abstract: A cutting device includes (i) a housing having first and second separable portions, the first portion having a locking aperture, the second portion having an attachment aperture, and (ii) a locking apparatus for removably locking the first and second portions of the housing. The locking apparatus includes an attachment portion for being fixedly attached in the attachment aperture, and a locking arm adapted to be releasably locked into the locking aperture. The attachment aperture and locking aperture are correspondingly positioned so that the locking arm becomes aligned with the locking aperture when the first and second portions of the housing are aligned for assembly. The housing may be constructed of metal, and the locking apparatus constructed of plastic. The locking apparatus may also include a return spring and blade carrier integrally molded therewith.

The pole saw comprises an elongated stiff tube extending from a drive unit to a remote chain saw head (12) and incorporates a drive shaft (14) connected to an input shaft (15) of a gear (16) arranged in the chain saw head (12). The gear is provided with an output shaft (18) on which a sprocket wheel (20) for driving a saw chain is arranged. A mass body vibration damper (23) is arranged between the gear (16) and the sprocket wheel (20).

Abstract: A system and method for determining an orientation of the survey tool within a borehole utilizes a survey tool including a plurality of rotation sensors each having a sensing axis and a direction of least acceleration sensitivity. The plurality of rotation sensors are mounted in a housing with their sensing axes generally parallel to one another and with their directions of least acceleration sensitivity generally non-parallel to one another. The survey tool further includes a controller adapted to calculate a weighted average of the detected angular rotation rates from the plurality of rotation sensors. The weighted average includes the detected angular rotation rate of each rotation sensor about its sensing axis weighted by the detected acceleration along its direction of least acceleration sensitivity.

Abstract: An improved a tool for aiding in laying a brick wall a set distance from the base wall of a structure, and to confirm the verticality of the brick wall. The tool has an elongated member having a smooth face for contacting a wall of bricks, an end member is attached to the end of the elongated member at a right angle thereto, the end member being attached in an adjustable manner. The method of using the tool is also disclosed.

Abstract: The telescoping T-square has a crossbar or cross-member and an extendable shaft or leg. The cross-member is a relatively short bar having a pair of parallel runners longitudinally extending across the length of one surface of the bar and a slot defined through the bar between the runners that extends from the center of the bar laterally towards one of the ends of the bar. The leg has a tubular, hollow proximal rod removably attached to the cross-member, and at least one telescoping distal rod slidably disposed in the proximal rod, with detent buttons locking the rods together at selected intervals. One end of the proximal rod has transverse grooves or channels defined therein slidably receiving the runners and a threaded stud extending therefrom that is slidable in the slot defined in the cross-member. A knob engages the stud to temporarily lock the cross-member and leg in fixed relation.

Abstract: A headstack locator assembly for locating and fixing a headstack on a spinstand and which mitigates the aforementioned prior art limitations. The headstack locator assembly includes a headstack locator received on a fixed locator. The headstack locator connects to a headstack, while the fixed locator is permanently secured to a spinstand. A vacuum is used to clamp the headstack locator to the fixed locator for testing of the headstack. Upon test completion, the headstack locator is released from the fixed locator by applying positive air pressure to the assembly.

Abstract: A knock-down type dryer assembly for prosthesis liners includes a housing mounted on a base member and a prosthesis liner support detachably mounted to the housing. The prosthesis liner support comprises a cross-member detachably coupled to an arm member and includes adjustable side wing portions that allow a user to adjust for the size of a particular prosthesis liner. When activated, an electrical fan in the housing draws ambient air into the housing and directs it up through the prosthesis liner where it circulates before exiting the liner. An anti-microbial lamp within the housing can be utilized to help rid the prosthesis liner of harmful bacteria. The manner in which the liner support is assembled, and the manner in which the liner support detachably connects to the housing, allows a user to easily assemble and disassemble the liner dryer and encourages proper cleaning/drying of the prosthesis liner before use.

Different supply pipes can be connected to nozzles belonging to different groups, and a flow control valve can be installed in each of the supply pipes.

The footwear is advantageously water-proof and provides buoyancy in water.

Abstract: A method of removing wrinkles, and a device to assist in wrinkle removal is provided. Wrinkles are removed from items such as clothing, linens, curtains, upholstery, fabrics and the like by placing a handheld pad on one side of the item, a wrinkle-removing device (such as a nozzle of a garment steamer) on the other side of the item, and pressing a portion of the item between the pad and the wrinkle-removing device. The wrinkle-removing device and the pad are moved about the item compressing a small portion of the item at a time until the wrinkles are removed from the entire item. The pad device of the instant invention includes a working surface against which a portion of the item is pressed by the wrinkle removing device, and a handgrip for the user to support the pad on a user's hand. The pad includes a foam core that insulates the user's hand from heat of the wrinkle-removing device. The foam core is located within a heat-reflective pouch to further insulate the user's hand and to aid in wrinkle removal.

Abstract: A 27?×28?×½? calendar/organizer that combines a large, 12-page, printed paper calendar with a ¼?- l/2? thick and “pin-receiving” backboard. The front sheets are printed with a calendar array of days and weeks, with each day having a height of at least four inches, such as days which are 4½ inches tall by 4 inches wide. The front sheets are attached to the backing board at their upper ends by two heavy duty staples, and have three mounting holes punched in aligned locations between the staples. The backing board is provided by double layer cardboard with each layer thicker than the plurality of front sheets, so the backing board can receive and hold a tack or push pin without regard to whether the tack or push pin extends through none, one or all of the front sheets. The backing board may extend longer than the front sheet calendar pages, so as to facilitate an additional “pinning surface” for items not associated with any particular day of the month.

Abstract: A lighting system for a real estate sign comprises an elongated illumination arm, a light source, an attachment housing, a power supply, and means for removably attaching the attachment housing to a real estate sign. The light source is connected to one end of the illumination arm, and the power supply is connected to another end. The lighting system may further have a switch to interrupt and reestablish the electrical communication between the power supply and the light source. In a version of the invention, the illumination arm is articulable and may be bent to direct light from the light source toward the sign.

In accordance with the present invention, the interest generating, foldable display system of the present invention is quickly and easily automatically erected from its flat, generally two-dimensional configuration into a three-dimensional display. Furthermore, the housing preferably comprises an enlarged internal cavity for receiving any desired display element. In this way, the display assembly is easily, and automatically converted from a two-dimensional, substantially flat configuration into a three-dimensional fully erected, interest generating, visually exciting display.

A replaceable graphics display panel, which itself has replaceable graphics cards thereon, is placeable in juxtaposition with an interior facing side of the first display panel, so that the replaceable graphics cards thereon are aligned with the clear portions, so that the replaceable graphics cards are viewable from the exterior side of the merchandiser.

Optimally, the second surface is a “Velcro” surface. The Velcro surface may also have embedded therein a plurality of magnets as well as a plurality of snaps for assuring securement of the items to the strips. The alpha-numeric devices are configured such that each letter of the alphabet capital letter having a script or cursive version of that same letter disposed thereon, the main portion of each letter being of a first color and the script portion being of a contrasting color. The numerical devices all be colored as well, but where the minor portion has the numeral spelled out.

The sensors may obtain information about the wearer such as a fingerprint, retina, iris, blood, DNA, genetic data, voice pattern, temperature and other characteristic. Security features include a fastener on the identification appliance, which indicates whether the appliance has been attached to a wearer and if so, enables circuit functions. If one tampers with the appliance, circuit functions may be disabled, certain data erased, and/or evidence of tampering made apparent.

Abstract: A firearm trigger locking device with two sides and fixed hardened steel pins. The device is designed to be universal for a particular family of guns—e.g., all rifles, all shotguns, or all handguns (or all revolvers or automatic pistols)—of a given firearm manufacturer. The device further features a pin behind the trigger to prevent firing, hardened steel plates in each side sufficient in size to cover the trigger guard and prevent transverse application of a saw to the trigger guard, and a ring of hardened steel pins around the periphery of the trigger guard to prevent application of a saw between the plates. The method for producing this trigger locking device uses lateral and axial profiles of the family of firearms to develop features and feature locations that will allow it to be used with any member of the family of firearms.

Abstract: A hand-guard and barrel nut clamping assembly for tactical firearms and other mechanical equipment that is subject to frequent or sustained vibration or shock, such as when a firearm is subjected to sustained rapid fire and/or the firearm is handled roughly. A small generally half-moon shaped anti-rotation clamping member is secured to a hand-guard support element or other suitable structure by socket head cap screws and is secured in frictional contact with components of the hand-guard mount and a barrel nut. The anti-rotation clamping member functions as a key to “tie” the barrel nut and hand-guard nut together, simultaneously preventing either one from rotating, and thus preventing inadvertent vibration or shock induced loosening of either the hand-guard retainer nut or the barrel nut. The anti-rotation clamping member is also keyed onto the front of the upper receiver by a slot into which a portion of the receiver is engaged.

Abstract: A magazine loader including a body including a front strap, a back strap and side panels extending between the front and back straps, a hollow portion being defined between the front and back straps and side panels for receiving therein a firearms magazine, wherein the front and back straps and side panels are configured to substantially match an outer contour of a grip of a given manufacturer's weapon, and a tongue extending from an upper portion of the body with a cartridge contact surface that faces towards the hollow portion, wherein when a magazine is placed in the hollow portion the cartridge contact surface is positioned to push a cartridge into the magazine.

Abstract: An ice rigger apparatus has a planar base member that has an adjustable fishing rod holder at one end and a trip rod at the other end. The trip rod is rotatably mounted to the top surface of the base member and is disposed generally transversely to the base member. The trip rod includes means for releasably attaching a portion of a line to it, the line running from a fishing pole placed within the rod holder to a lure that is suspended in the water just below the ice. The trip rod also includes means for releasing an indicator flag when the lure has attracted a fish and the fish has taken the bait.

Abstract: A holder, a method of using the holder and a method of making the holder, for securely retaining a tool, pole or fishing rod without damaging the support, such holder comprises a main body and a clip. The main body has a hollow cylinder section (10); an ell-shaped tang section (20) at the top of the cylinder, ridge steps (22) on the tang section; and a rail section (30) formed on the exterior cylinder wall. The clip (70) has a snap (71) on one end and channel guides (72) at the other end to fit within the rail section (30). The clip slidably engages the rail section (30) and tang section (20) and is secured in place by closing the snap (71) on the ridge steps (22). The holder is made by an injection molding process using commercially available plastic resins.
