  • Patent number: 7169010
Abstract: A simulated Judge's traditional courtroom gavel appartatus, comprising a sounding-block modified with a preferred plurality of nine cubes, bearing some fifty-four different graphic indicia (one upon each facet), a possibly stressful-situation sensitive word reading for example: “landlord”, “boss”, “step-mom”, “taxes”, “job”, “school”, “lawyer”, “car.” The user thus chooses the desired subject/topic from an assortment of cube selections held within the gavel-housing, then places that selected cube choice face-up into a holding-well formed down into the housing. The user may pause to reflect upon the stressful nature of the subject at hand (ie—“alimony”), —then picking-up the gavel, raises it well above the stressful-word held clearly exposed within the well, and while focusing directly thereto, slams the gavel resoundingly thereupon! This action may obstensibly soothe one's psyche of excess anger or frustration toward that person or object.

  • Patent number: 7169012
Abstract: A polishing tool useful for grinding and high precision, fine polishing of flat or curved optical surfaces, as well as for the optical flattening of semiconductor and metallic surfaces. The tool does not make contact with the surface to be polished and lacks moving parts; but produces a high velocity flux “cushion” that expands radially and parallel to the working surface, generating a stable, uniform and repeatable annular abrasion footprint. Due to the hydrodynamic characteristics of the tool, it can create polished surfaces of high-precision optical quality starting from the grinding process up through the final fine polishing process without having to change the tool, thereby avoiding friction against the work surface and tool wear. It can polish thin membranes and does not require a rigid or active support for the working surface. This invention considerably simplifies optical polishing processes and reduces costs with respect to other known methods.

Abstract: A cylindrical drum has at its circumferential edge a number of recesses, each adapted for accommodating a replaceable grinding element including a retainer in which is mounted a sandpaper, support brushes and/or retainer brushes. The recesses in the cylindrical drum are made with side walls. The retainer is made with corresponding outer side walls. During use, by wedge action between the side walls of the recesses and the outer side walls of the retainer, a squeezing force on the side walls of the retainer directed in the circumferential direction arises. The retainer is designed with grooves for fastening at least one sandpaper, and the grooves extend from an upper side of the retainer and into the retainer for forming at least one elastic and pliable flap which is disposed between the grooves and at least one outer side wall.

  • Patent number: 7169032
Abstract: A crustacean shelling tool is employed to quickly and easily crack the underside of the tail shell of a crawfish, for example, to expose the meat contained therein for removal without damage and without loss of the associated succulent juices. The key-like tool includes a handle and an elongate rod extending therefrom. A longitudinal slit extends inwardly from a distal end of the rod to define upper and lower rod forks. An optional finger ring is attached to the handle of the tool by way of a short tether to prevent dropping or misplacement of the tool during the time required to remove and/or eat the meat from one shelled crawfish and to ready the next crawfish for shelling. In use, the lower rod fork of the tool is inserted into the open end of the tail shell such that the underside of the shell is guided into the longitudinal slit a desired distance.
