Abstract: A wedge-shaped receptacle (9) is provided for packaging felting needles (8). The wedge shape is configured in such a manner that the felting needles lie in the receptacle in a mutual lateral engagement, that is, they are held approximately parallel to one another and they firmly clamp one another without their tips abutting against the receptacle body. This, on the one hand, results in a particular protection of the felting needles (8) during transportation and, on the other hand, results in a simple handling with the lowest danger of injuries.

Abstract: This invention relates to a collectable container typically sold at sporting events. The container may be shaped like a baseball helmet, football helmet, soccer ball, basketball, or other sporting item. It has an image, preferably a lenticular image, of a team logo, picture or player, is typically filled with a beverage or a food, such as ice cream and sold at concession stands. These are designed so that fans may collect an entire set of images representing an entire team or league. During the excitement of the event, and due to the large crowds located in such tight spaces, it is common to have the container being roughly handled. The present invention employs either a recess which receives the image, or protective offsets which surround images on the container. The recess and/or offsets prevent scratching and physical contact with the image and protect the images from being placed in liquids, debris thereby damaging the image reducing the value of the collectable.

A transfer robot is installed at a frame and the frame is located between the load port and processing equipment. The transfer robot moves the one or more wafers between the processing equipment and the container. Abstract: An indicator device utilizes a pair of magnets to provide a missing-element indication. The indicator may be installed within a filter assembly such that, when a filter element is present, it urges a piston disposed towards the top of the indicator and one of the magnets to slide axially inwards through the indicator's housing and attract the second magnet. The latter then causes a button disposed at the bottom of the indicator to move axially inwards, such that no missing-element indication is provided. When the filter element is removed or is missing, the piston moves axially outwardly, thereby either reducing the force of attraction, or increasing the repulsive force, between the two magnets and causing the button to pop out through the indicator's bottom end and provide visual indication of a missing-element condition. The indication may also be provided as a remote electrical signal, which may be transmitted wirelessly.

In coastal areas the unit can be stored at home and used when fresh water have been contaminated by sea water cause by high tides. It can save lives especially where hurricanes such as Katrina contaminate the water supply and no fresh water is available.

Abstract: A filter having a gravel-less underdrain and a filter layer installed directly on top of the gravel-less underdrain. The filter layer is designed such that when fluid is directed through the filter layer at controlled rates a protective barrier is formed by the larger particles of the filter layer directly above the gravel-less underdrain to prevent clogging and/or structural failure of the gravel-less underdrain thereby obviating the need for one or more layers of gravel or torpedo sand.

Abstract: A two-vessel liquid separation apparatus includes a pump and its motor submersed in a one vessel and a reverse osmosis membrane in the other vessel. The vessels are separated by a contiguous dividing wall. The membrane and the pump are in fluid communication with one another through the dividing wall so as to allow liquid to pass from one vessel to the other in accordance with a given geometry. The pump receives liquid from the membrane containing vessel through holes in the dividing wall, the pump creating a highly turbulent flow caused by a cyclonic and co-axial effect, directly at the lower end of the membrane; the connexion of the pump outlet at the dividing wall is very close to the membrane thus providing an optimal efficiency of turbulence and flow at critical locations of bacteria collection.

Abstract: A filter unit includes membrane plates placed together parallel to one another, which at least in zones around connecting elements for the purpose of draining permeate are connected together liquid-tight. The membrane plates because of their shape and after two membrane plates have been placed one on top of the other are provided for manufacturing a liquid-tight connection or a seal by welding. As a result unfiltered liquid flows through between the membrane plates and contamination of the permeate within a volume situated between the connecting elements is prevented. Over a number of connecting elements and zones located in between it is possible to attach a hollow profile, which is closed-off at its ends. This hollow profile in a liquid-tight manner surrounds discharge openings of the connecting elements and the zones located in between with positive material engagement.

Abstract: A large vault or tank receives the runoff water to be cleaned. There are one or more small tanks in the large tank (vault). Each small tank is inverted and receives water at its open lower end, from the large tank. The water entering the small tank rises, as the water level in the large tank rises, and flows upward through a filter. When the water level rises above the top of the filter it enters an outlet tube or pipe and then flows downwardly along the center-line of the filter. A float, a valve and a check valve may cause the system to function as a siphon and feed the filtered clean water to an outlet. Alternatively the siphoning effect will occur if the inside diameter of said outlet tube is small enough to form a partial vacuum.

In one possible embodiment, the ultrafine non-polar particles are ultrasonically dispersed in at lest one portion of the solvent and is then added to the balance of an optionally separately prepared solvent/non-solvent solution. Subsequently, the polymer is added to and dissolved in the solvent/non-solvent/particle dispersion with the resulting solution being cast into a liquid film and subjected to phase inversion processing is disclosed The resulting polymeric microporous membranes containing highly dispersed and homogeneously distributed ultrafine non-polar particles are also disclosed.
