  • Patent number: 7186106
Abstract: In a molding machine, a fixed platen which supports a fixed die is disposed on one end of a base plate. A movable platen which supports a movable die and a supporting mount which supports each one end portion of the four tie bars are mounted on slide units. The movable platen and the supporting mount are advanced so as to close the die, a tip portion of each tie bar is locked to the fixed platen by a lock mechanism, and a die clamping cylinder provided on the movable platen is actuated to generate a clamping force so as to execute molding. After that, the lock mechanism executes an unlocking operation so as to cause the movable platen and the supporting mount to retreat to a die open position. Furthermore, an attaching and detaching mechanism releases the die clamping cylinder so as to cause only the supporting mount to significantly retreat from the movable platen, and thus the four tie bars are completely evacuated from the fixed die and the movable die.

Abstract: An integrated latching mechanism for use with a user pluggable electronic module, such as an opto-electronic transceiver module, is disclosed. The latching mechanism allows the user to selectively latch the module within a corresponding host port by manipulation of a pivot lever. Movement of the pivot lever causes a locking pin to extend and latch the module within the port. Conversely, movement of the pivot lever can disengage the locking pin and thereby allow the user to extract the module from within the port. The pivot lever can further include a biasing member that biases the pivot lever in a locked position.

Abstract: An ECU connector (1) is connectable with a tower connector (2). The two connectors are completely connected by tightening a bolt (4) after being fit to a specified depth and centered with respect to each other. At the specified depth, a detection arm (32) on the ECU connector (1) resiliently engages a receiving portion (12) on the tower connector (2) and a surface facing the detection arm (32) can be hit by the detection arm (32). Accordingly, by starting bolt tightening after the specified depth is reached, problems such as deformations of the leading ends of tower male terminals (13) and damage to the two connectors (1, 2) can be avoided.
