  • Patent number: 7201608
Abstract: A co-axial plug has a cylindrical outer-conductor part having mating co-axial cable ends. A latching sleeve fits around and is axially displaceable relative to the shell outer-conductor. Opposite ends of a spring are supported against the shell outer-conductor part and the latching sleeve to pre-load the latching sleeve toward the co-axial cable end of the shell outer-conductor part. Axial slots at the latching sleeve mating end form elastically resilient latching tongues having, at their ends, a latching edge extending in a radially outward direction. An unlocking sleeve surrounding the latching sleeve is displaceable axially relative to the latching sleeve having a ramp extending outwardly and sloping toward the cable end. The ramp co-operates with a correspondingly bevelled groove on the unlocking sleeve inside face so displacement of the unlocking sleeve relative to the latching sleeve toward the co-axial cable end bends the latching tongues inwardly.

  • Patent number: 7201609
Abstract: A connector (10) has a housing (11) with an outer peripheral surface (11S). A rubber boot (15) has a tubular sealing portion (21) with an inner peripheral surface that mounts over and seals to the outer peripheral surface (11S) of the housing (11). Thus, a compressive elasticity amount of the sealing portion (21) is not affected by a posture of the first connector (10) when the first connector (10) is fit in a second connector (40). Therefore, the sealing performance of the sealing portion (21) does not deteriorate in dependence on the posture of the first connector (10) when the first connector (10) is fit in the second connector (40).

Respective one portions, in an axial direction and between corner portions, of a ceiling wall, a floor wall, and a pair of left and right side walls, which are four wall portions, are plate spring portions which contact the male terminal while elastically deforming independently of one another. Because the wall portions themselves structure the plate spring portions, there is no need to provide a plate spring within a tube wall, and the female terminal can be made compact. Further, contact pressure is ensured because the respective plate spring portions contact the male terminal from different directions.

Abstract: Chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) apparatus and methods for detecting polishing pad properties using ultrasonic imaging is presented. An ultrasonic probe assembly transmits ultrasonic signals onto the surface of a polishing pad during a CMP process. Reflected ultrasonic signals are collected and analyzed to monitor polishing pad properties in real-time. This allows CMP process adjustments to be made during the CMP process.

  • Patent number: 7201635
Abstract: Monitoring the process of planarizing a workpiece, e.g., conditioning a CMP pad, can present some difficulties. Aspects of this invention provide methods and systems for monitoring and/or controlling such a planarization cycle. For example, a control system may monitor the proximity of a workpiece holder and an abrasion member by measuring the capacitance between a first sensor associated with the workpiece holder and a second sensor associated with the abrasion member. This exemplary control system may adjust a process parameter of the planarization cycle in response to a change in the measured capacitance. This can be useful in endpointing the planarization cycle, for example. In certain applications, the control system may define a pad profile based on multiple capacitance measurements and use the pad profile to achieve better planarity of the planarized surface.

  • Patent number: 7201637
Abstract: A method for simultaneously planarizing to relatively equal smoothness a thin film magnetic head hardbaked resist structure having relatively low surface energy and one or more additional thin film magnetic head structures containing other materials having comparatively higher surface energy, such as copper, hardbaked resist, alumina and NiFe. The method begins with preparation of a chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) slurry targeted at equaling the removal rate of the materials to be planarized. The CMP slurry includes a liquid vehicle, an abrasive, and a surfactant. The CMP slurry is applied to the surface of the structures to be planarized and the structures are simultaneously planarized using a CMP planarization technique.
