Patent number: 7204057Abstract: The invention describes a HF-reducing green roof. This green roof comprises a support construction consisting of a layer of textile fibers and/or a substrate (12), a vegetation layer (14) of low plants, and a flat or three-dimensional structure of electrically conductive filaments. This structure supplements the support construction or forms part thereof. The intermediate spaces between adjacent electrically conductive filaments (10) are smaller than one quarter of the wavelength of the electromagnetic HF-radiation to be shielded.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2002Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Inventor: Wolfgang Behrens

Patent number: 7204058Abstract: A flat-formed arch ring unit includes a linear array of voussoir portions connected along their upper edges. The unit is then archable. A method is provided for forming an archway including the steps of arching one or more the flat formed arch ring units and locating them between two or more foundation blocks or the like. This provides a simple yet effective process and unit for forming an archway. With ease of production, shaping and transportation, making new archways or carrying out repairs of existing bridge archways is significantly faster and cheaper, minimizing disruption and delay to traffic.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2005Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignee: The Queen's University of BelfastInventor: Adrian Ernest Long

Patent number: 7204059Abstract: Removable door jamb assembly guard, guarded jamb assembly, and methods of controlling a doorway. The guard preferably covers the full length of the jamb assembly, and the full width of the jamb assembly between an outer trim element and the door-arresting surface. The guard has a central section, a door leg section, an outer leg section disposed outwardly of the central section, and optionally a transition section between the central section and the outer leg section. Preferred embodiments of the guard can be installed on a jamb assembly while a conventional door slab is mounted to the jamb assembly, and the door slab can be closed and opened without the guard interfering with such operation of the door slab.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2003Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignee: Custom Millworking, Inc.Inventors: Glenn P. Patent number: 7204060Abstract: This disclosure is a system which includes processes, machines, articles of manufacture and compositions of matter required to construct a habitable structure comprised of a cementitious product, preferably autoclaved aerated concrete (“AAC”), formed in unique blocks, panels and beams. This results in an extremely environmentally friendly habitable dwelling, residential or commercial, which, due to the resultant synergy of embodiments, when compared to a similar structure employing prior art and/or current industry's standard materials and methods of construction, is structurally superior and simultaneously yields substantial savings in labor, time and costs.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2002Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Inventor: Christopher M. Patent number: 7204061Abstract: A fireproof structure protects water pipes with stable durability even in a high temperature gas environment. Even in a case where it falls off, it does not leave the water pipes suddenly exposed. The fireproof structure for protecting water pipes 25B installed on water pipe walls of a combustion gas side is configured by a double-layered structure made up of an outer layer water pipe protective structure facing towards the combustion gas side, which is fireproof tile 13, and an inner layer water pipe protective structure provided between the outer layer water pipe protective structure and the water pipes, which is fireproof castable 12. The thickness ratio between the castable 12 and the tiles 13 lies within the range of about 2:1 to 3:1, and the ratio between the thickness of the fireproof castable and the radius of the water pipe is set to 1+?:1, wherein the value of ? ranges from approximately 0.1 to 0.3. The water pipes are equipped with hanging hooks 15a for tiles 13.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2002Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignee: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Yasunori Terabe, Keita Inoue, Yuji Nakagawa, Kentaro Saeki

Patent number: 7204062Abstract: The present invention is a vinyl siding panel and a method of making the vinyl siding panel. The vinyl siding panel comprises a planar portion extending the longitudinal length of the vinyl siding panel. The planar portion comprises a first edge and a second edge. The width from the first edge to the second edge is at least about 4.0 inches. The planar portion has a surface variance of less than about 0.05 inches relative to an imaginary straight line connecting the first edge and the second edge, and the radius curvature between the first edge and the second edge is at least about 85 inches.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2000Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignee: Crane Plastics Company LLCInventors: Larry R. Patent number: 7204063Abstract: A roofing shingle for enhanced wind/rain durability embodies two transverse lines of adhesion. A first discontinuous line of adhesive joins the butt edge of an overlying shingle to the underlying shingle. Secondly, a band of sealant adjacent the top edge of an underlying shingle seals against an overlying shingle to prevent penetration by wind driven rain to the roof deck. A reduced headlap is thereby permitted, thereby either reducing shingle size or extending shingle coverage. Exposed portions of the sealant band improve the erosion resistance of underlying shingles.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2003Date of Patent: April 17, 2007Assignees: EMCO Building Products Corp., EMCO Materiaux de Construction LteeInventor: Jayant B.
