  • Patent number: 7204620
Abstract: Front viewability during turning may be enhanced by a headlamp device for a vehicle arranged to perform swivel control. The headlamp device is arranged so that when a vehicle 2 is turning around a right curve with low beam, the vehicle velocity V and the estimated horizontal G value are used to calculate the curve turning radius R, which is then used together with the vehicle velocity R to calculate the driver viewing point angle ? to which the leftward deviation ? of the highest light intensity position in the light distribution pattern PL for low beam is added to calculate the target swivel angle ? on the basis of which the lighting fixture unit of the headlamp 10R is swung over the target swivel angle ? so that light beam is emitted toward a region surrounding the driver viewing point EP on the road ahead of the vehicle in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 7204628
Abstract: For light irradiation transversely inclined with respect to the front of a vehicle lighting device that reflects light from a plurality of semiconductor light emitting devices toward the forward part of the lighting device via reflector, a structure is provided in which lights emitted from five semiconductor light emitting devices are reflected toward the forward part of a lighting device via reflector. A reflecting surface of the reflector is a parabolic cylindrical curved surface having a focal line extended horizontally. The five semiconductor light emitting devices are on the focal line at an interval. Each of the directions of the emitted lights is varied for each semiconductor light emitting device with respect to the focal line direction. Consequently, the light emitted from each of the semiconductor light emitting devices is not diffused vertically but only horizontally, thereby forming five oblong light distribution patterns in positions shifted from each other horizontally.

  • Patent number: 7204640
Abstract: A method and system is provided for registering a 2D radiographic image of a target with previously generated 3D scan data of the target. A reconstructed 2D image is generated from the 3D scan data. The radiographic 2D image is registered with the reconstructed 2D images to determine the values of in-plane transformation parameters (x, y, ?) and out-of-plane rotational parameters (r, ?), where the parameters represent the difference in the position of the target in the radiographic image, as compared to the 2D reconstructed image. An initial estimate for the in-plane transformation parameters is made by a 3D multi-level matching process, using the sum-of-square differences similarity measure. Based on these estimated parameters, an initial 1-D search is performed for the out-of-plane rotation parameters (r, ?), using a pattern intensity similarity measure. The in-plane parameters (x, y, ?) and out-of-plane parameters (r, ?) are iteratively refined, until a desired accuracy is reached.

Abstract: There are provided a suction unit which sucks a recording medium, and a unit which changes sucking force of the suction unit according to the property of the recording medium. Hereby, since the sucking force of the suction unit can be set according to a state of the recording medium. Therefore, for example, even if the recording medium is greatly curled, since its recording medium can be surely sucked on the transporting surface of the recording medium by the suction unit. Further, even if the recording medium has little rigidity and is thin, it is possible to prevent the recording medium from being stuck on the transporting surface of the recording medium by the suction unit.

  • Patent number: 7204657
Abstract: A lightweight one man screed apparatus to automatically strike off and level uncured concrete flatwork, includes a tri-pod framework beneath which a cutting/leveling member operates. The apparatus is controlled by two grade setting devices, adjustably mounted to the screed tool, which may be adjusted relative to a laser plane generating system. Physical control of the screed member may be provided by at least one screed tool pivotal arm assembly moved for and aft by a carriage operated under the tri-pod framework within a fore and aft footprint. The screed tool is adjusted to grade by being raised or lowered by at least one linear actuators responding to an electronic controller. When moving the framework and screed assembly into freshly poured concrete, an operator is assisted by retractable wheels. The wheels are rotationally stowable or used deployed as part of the tripod/transport system facilitating mobility.

Abstract: The humic-mineral agent from naturally occurring carbon-series humites and caustobioliths comprises humic acids and salts thereof, naturally hydrated humic acids, hydrolyzed humic acids, hydrated and hydrolyzed humic-mineral and mineral complexes of parent carbon-series humites and caustobioliths chemically bound to the naturally hydrated humic acids. The method for preparing a humic-mineral agent comprises crushing and disintegrating of carbon-series humites and caustobioliths and mixing them with an alkali. The carbon-series humites and caustobioliths are crushed and disintegrated when their moisture content is close to the natural level at which humic acids are in a naturally hydrated state, hot water is added to the. Next an alkali is added thereto and the mixture is hydrolyzed till obtaining the end product having consistency from viscous-flow to plastic and the pH value of from 6.5 to 8.
