Patent number: 7210772Abstract: An ink cartridge has a first partitioning wall 5 and a third partitioning wall 7 for dividing the inside of a case 2 into a first ink chamber 9 and a second ink chamber 10, and a second partitioning wall 6 for demarcating an atmosphere connection chamber 11. In an upper case cover 3 are formed an ink filling hole 13 communicating with the second ink chamber 10 and a pressure reduction hole 14 communicating with the atmosphere connection chamber 11. Therefore, when ink filling is being done, the filling apparatus and the pressure reduction apparatus need only be brought to bear from one side of the upper case cover, resulting in improved work efficiency. Ink filling can be performed efficiently because the ink successively passes to the second ink chamber 10 and the first ink chamber 9. After ink filling, the ink filling hole 13 and the pressure reduction hole 14 can easily be sealed off with sealing material. An ink cartridge is thus provided that can be easily assembled at low cost.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2005Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Brother Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Toyonori Sasaki

Patent number: 7210792Abstract: A micromechanical mirror combined with a photoluminescent screen is able to efficiently use light from the light source. In such a device, the light source produces light that is directed onto the micromechanical mirror. The micromechanical mirror then selectively reflects the light onto a photoluminescent screen. Patent number: 7210814Abstract: A dental curing light including an elongate wand having a proximal end and a distal end, a plurality of LEDs disposed at or near a distal end of the elongate wand and a printed circuit board for mounting the plurality of LEDs. The LEDs include a main through mount LED and a plurality of surface mount LEDs positioned around the main through mount LED. The main LED is through mounted relative to the printed circuit board such that the power connections of the main through mount LED are made through a hole or holes in the printed circuit board. The power connections of the main through mount LED are made on an opposite surface of the printed circuit board relative to the “top” surface to which the surface mount LEDs are mounted.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2005Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Ultradent Products, Inc.Inventors: Robert R. Patent number: 7210816Abstract: An automatically rotatable lamp ball includes a power unit provided with a motor having its downward shaft driving two rollers to rotate and its upward shaft driving a lamp arm to rotate. The lamp arm is disposed thereon with a plurality of LEDs, and the integral body of the power unit and the lamp arm is received in the interior of a transparent outer casing and actuated to rotate therein for pushing the outer casing to roll freely at the same time. When the lamp arm is actuated to rotate, the LEDs installed thereon will simultaneously give out flickering lights in sequence and at intervals and, due to visual persistence, presenting freely movable stereoscopic light patterns or letters. So the invention is innovative and exclusively original in structure and having excellent entertaining effect.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2005Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Inventor: Lisa Li-Hsiang Lin

Patent number: 7210817Abstract: A system and method for a reverse mounted light array. In one method embodiment, the present invention couples a reverse mounted light-generating source with a substrate. Additionally, the present invention couples an electrical portion of the reverse mounted light generating source with a conductive trace coupled to the reverse side of the substrate, wherein the coupling of the conductive trace with the substrate and the reverse mounted light generating source forms a reverse mounted light array.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2004Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Avago Technologies ECBU IP (Singapore) Pte. Patent number: 7210818Abstract: A flexible lighting device includes an elongated flexible tube with a translucent tube shell and opposed tube ends and a flexible circuit board set in the tube so that it extends between the tube ends. The flexible circuit board has opposed interior and exterior surfaces. Electrical circuitry is mounted to the circuit board and connected to an external input source and an output source of electrical power. The circuit board defines a number of cut-outs, preferably those of a generally diamond shape. The device is described in two embodiments: one with inwardly directed LEDs on the circuit board directed into the tube and one with outwardly directed LEDs on the circuit board directed out of the tube. The method of making the flexible lighting device is also described.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2004Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: Altman Stage Lighting Co., Inc.Inventors: John F. Patent number: 7210819Abstract: A single-chip integrated LED particularly adapted for direct use with a high voltage AC power comprises a plurality of series-connected LEDs arranged in two arrays. The opposite polarities of the arrays are connected together and then connected to the AC power source. During the positive half of the AC cycle, one array of LEDs is forward biased and energized, while the other array is reverse biased. During the negative half of the AC cycle, the other array of LEDs is forward biased and thus energized, while the first array is reverse biased and thus not energized. The arrays are alternately energized and de-energized at the frequency of the AC power source, and thus the single-chip integrated LED always appears to be energized.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2005Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignee: AC LED Lighting L.L.C.Inventors: Hongxing Jiang, Jingyu Lin, Sixuan Jin
