Abstract: Devices for extracting and filtering juice from fruit of various sizes and shapes are shown and described. In one particular embodiment, the device has an inner juicing cup, an outer juicing head, and a collection vessel. The inner juicing cup has an inner juicing head. The outer juicing head couples with the inner juicing cup. When coupled together, the outer juicing head encloses the inner juicing head. In addition, the collection vessel couples with the inner juicing cup. In another embodiment, the inner and outer juicing heads have teeth and blades, respectively, of varying degrees of sharpness. In another embodiment, the inner juicing cup has a drainage region for allowing juice to flow into the collection vessel, a first filtering region for filtering juice flowing from the heads to an external container, and a second filtering region for filtering juice flowing from the collection vessel to the external container.

Abstract: This invention concerns a juicer, that is a machine for extracting the juice from fruit and vegetables. Such machines are used domestically, and also commercially in restaurants, cafes and juice bars. The invention comprises an electric motor, a shredder mounted for rotation by the motor, a feed tube to deliver pieces to be juiced to the shredder for juicing, wherein the feed tube has an inner diameter of more than 75 mm, and three, or more, inwardly directed formations are arranged to constrict the interior of the feed tube. The inner diameter of the feed tube may be large enough for a typical apple to pass through it whole such as 85 mm or more. The inwardly directed formations serve to prevent the insertion of a hand or arm into or through the feed tube despite its large diameter.

Abstract: A Method and a device for a rail traffic on parallel guide-way and also as toys which are effected and consist by a vehicle with wheels or linear motor sleds which, by means of transport member preferably from a kind of hydraulics (at toys by springs or folded bellows), is able to be lifted from one guide-way across to another neighbouring one without railway switch, whereby the guide-ways preferably are stepped arranged on carrier pillars. An individual rail traffic is rendered possible by the one which is not bound by general stops, because the vehicle is able to halt on the lowest gauge even on a guide-way-free pavement. The average velocity of the vehicle is increased with each rail step. The number of the lanes can be largely augmented because the vehicles are also able to run overhanging and partially overlapping and because the narrow gauge is chosen.

Abstract: This invention provides methods of guideway construction and vehicle operation for a three-dimensional transportation system, in which a vehicle changes lane or direction by widening or narrowing the width between its left wheels and its corresponding right wheels. In such a transportation system, vehicles diverge from a source lane and merge into a target lane aerially either above or below the tracks, through the empty space between the left guideway and the right guideway. A transportation system in which traffic lanes could be stacked vertically one above another, and additional lanes could be added later without additional land usage. In such a transportation system, a vehicle could raise or lower its center of gravity in the vertical direction to offer the advantages of safe operation and easy loading/unloading. Such a transportation system could accommodate dual-mode vehicles. Such a transportation system is suitable for automatically moving people and goods.

Abstract: Methods for the removal of lead from a metal silicate during the process of manufacturing of such a material are provided. With the reliance upon lower cost starting silicon dioxide starting materials that are known to exhibit elevated amounts of heavy metal therein for the purpose of producing metal silicates (such as sodium silicate, as one example), it has been realized that removal of significant amounts of such heavy metals is necessary to comply with certain regulatory requirements in order to provide a finished material that exhibits the same low level of heavy metal contamination as compared with finished materials that are made from more expensive, purer starting silicon dioxides. Two general methods may be followed for such decontamination purposes. One entails the introduction of a calcium phosphate material, such as dicalcium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate, and/or hydroxyapatite, to a formed metal silicate solution but prior to filtering.

The apertures are spaced along a circumferential rim offset axially from the remainder of the disk to approximate the seed release location and characteristics of a cell type seed disk. The offset allows the seed to fall in the correct location of the seed tube to reduce or eliminate unwanted seed bounce and provide better seed delivery to the ground and better seed spacing as compared to flat disks without the offset. In one embodiment, the rim has a surface angled with respect to the rotational plane of the seed disk to impart an axial component to the seed trajectory. A tortuous wall between the rim and the remainder of the disk provides seed agitation.

Abstract: A dehumidifying radome vent in open communication between a radome and the external environment for passively ventilating and dehumidifying the radome. The dehumidifying radome vent is a duct receiving a water aerosol comprised of air and water. The duct passively decreases a flow rate of the water aerosol so as to remove water from the air and ventilate the radome. To this end, the duct defines two or more cross-sectional flow areas along a predetermined flow path. These cross-sectional flow areas include a first cross-sectional flow area and a second cross-sectional flow area. The second cross-sectional flow area is larger than the first cross-sectional flow area for passively decreasing the flow rate and dehumidifying the aerosol.

Abstract: The present embodiments of the invention generally relate to a watercraft recovery device and method. The watercraft recovery method provides for operatively releasing an anchor from a watercraft, starting the watercraft, and steering the watercraft. The watercraft recovery device allows fisherman or other users to wade away from the boat and to recover the watercraft without re-navigating the water to return to the watercraft. This will help to ensure that fisherman or other users can quickly recover their boat in the case of an unexpected storm that makes the water conditions unsafe.

The marine flooring plates is constructed of a High Pressure Laminate (HPL) having a body of kraft paper (P) impregnated with thermo setting binding agent, an upper layer in the form of a decorating paper (D) imprinted with wood structure and impregnated with resin and a wear resistant top layer in the form of a transparent paper (O) impregnated with resin. The body of the high pressure laminate has a through inked black or brown core. The wear resistant top layer and the upper layer having wood structure décor is machined in the depth (d) and into the black/brown body of the high pressure laminate by means of a milling tool. Thus seams (3, 4) are formed in the flooring plate in a predetermined pattern in order to imitate a marine flooring of natural wood.

Abstract: Material gas hits the outer peripheral surface of a dam member and rides on the upper surface side, and then is allowed to flow along the main surface of a silicon single-crystal substrate placed on a susceptor. An upper lining member is disposed above the dam member so as to face the dam member. A gas introducing clearance is formed between the dam member and the upper lining member. In a vapor growth device, the upper lining member is regulated in size so that the length, formed in a direction along the horizontal reference line, of the gas introducing clearance gradually decreases as it is away from the horizontal reference line or is kept constant at any position. A vapor growth device capable of making more uniform the flowing route of a material gas flowing on the silicon single-crystal substrate, and a production method for an epitaxial wafer are provided.
