  • Patent number: 7225490
Abstract: A multi-functional wire stripper includes a fixing element, a movable element, a wire-stripping module, an electrical sensor, and a flexible element. There is a fixing sleeve on the front end of the fixing element for installing a tool module. The movable element is installed at the fixing element. The wire-stripping module is installed between the fixing element and the movable element. The electrical sensor is installed at the fixing element. The flexible element is installed between the fixing element and the movable element. Thereby, the wire stripper is capable of stripping the insulating layer off electrical cords and cutting electrical cords. The wire stripper is easy to operate, and reduces the time taken to perform such an action. The quantity of tools required by a workman are therefore reduced. If an electrical device leaks electricity, the wire stripper can inform the user thereby preventing them receiving an electrical shock.

  • Patent number: 7225491
Abstract: A footwear cushioning system including an insole and a midsole that define a chamber containing multiple, hollow, inverted, truncated cones. The insole includes a plate having a downwardly extending rib to define a recess. The midsole includes a midsole plate including an upwardly extending wall and multiple upwardly opening hollow, inverted frusto-conical cushion cells. The wall interfits within the rib, and the cushion cells abut against the insole plate. An outsole shell is direct-attached to the cushioning system with polyurethane. Preferably, the polyurethane pre-compresses the cushion cells and adds cushioning and energy return characteristics. To assemble the cushion system, an upper is stapled to the insole rib. The midsole is interfitted within the rib. The insole and midsole are heated to fuse the cushion cells to the insole. Polyurethane is poured into the outsole shell and the shell is direct attached to the upper/cushioning system.

Abstract: An expandable tubing assembly comprises a tubular connector defining overlapping longitudinal slots, the connector comprising end portions and an intermediate portion. The slots extend over the whole length of the connector, but the only slot overlap occurs in the intermediate portion. The assembly further comprises lengths of expandable tubing defining overlapping longitudinal slots and having end portions defining nodes between and beyond the ends of the tubing slots. Tubing threads are formed on the end most tubing nodes. The connector end portions define threads and are coupled with the threads formed on the nodes of the respective end portions of the tubing lengths.

Abstract: Method for fabricating a gyroscope including: fabricating a SMS wafer where a first wafer, a metal film, and a second wafer are sequentially stacked; forming a cantilever or a bridge shaped-structure on the relevant portion of the first wafer through the photolithography process; attaching to the surface of the first wafer, a first cap made of glass and having a predetermined space for sealing the movable structure in a vacuum state; separating and removing the metal film and the second wafer from the first wafer; and attaching to the backside of the first wafer, the second cap which is structurally and materially symmetric to the first cap. The SMS wafer is fabricated by depositing the metal film on the second wafer and bonding the first wafer on the metal film using metal paste or material of polymer series. With lower material costs, improvements in performance and characteristics can be achieved.

Abstract: A bonding device. A plurality of bonding units each has a base and a fastening member. Each base has a first connecting portion, a second connecting portion, and a stopper. An electronic device has a circuit unit and a predetermined element. The circuit unit has several first positioning portions and the predetermined element has several second positioning portions. The first positioning portions and the second positioning portions are through holes. When the predetermined element is attached to the upper surface of the circuit unit by aligning the second positioning portions with the corresponding first positioning portions, the second connecting portion of the base is first fit into the first positioning portions of the circuit unit, then the fastening member passes through the second positioning portion of the predetermined element to couple with the fastening member by several turns. Thus, the predetermined element is fixed on the circuit unit.

Abstract: A connector press provides for learning a specified connector pressed position, adjusting a force based threshold, and simultaneously pressing multiple connector types into a circuit board. The force based threshold may be adjusted via a slider bar on a user interface. The specified pressed position may be learned by measuring and storing a position or force value, upon the user causing the press to press the connector into a circuit board. A total force based threshold may be determined in order to simultaneously press multiple connector types. The total force based threshold may be based upon quantities and pressing forces of each of the connectors types. Further, the press may provide near capacity pressing force, even with an asymmetrical load, by including linear guides.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and methods for applying a material to a cable or into a conduit. The apparatus includes a hinged housing for coupling to a portion of a cable and/or a conduit. The apparatus is configured as a portable housing that is particularly suited for use in the field to apply a material to an existing underground cable or conduit or to a new or relocated cable or conduit during installation. The hinged housing permits the apparatus to couple to a portion of a cable or a portion of a conduit without splicing the cable or the conduit or removing the cable. When coupled to a cable or a conduit, the housing defines a chamber into which a material is inserted. Compressed air is supplied to the chamber to force the material into an innerduct of the conduit and to pull the material therethrough, applying the material to the cable and/or the conduit.
