Abstract: An impact attenuating chin protector comprises a hard outer shell with a narrowed central area to better dissipate impact forces and an inner foam member. The foam member includes a series of alternating foam columns and recesses with perforations at controlled locations to provide additional force dissipation, improved ventilation, and protection from the edges of the hard outer shell. The interior surface of the foam member is configured so that almost the entire interior surface contacts the wearer's chin except for the perforations. The columns and recesses are configured so that recesses are located around two pressure points on the chin. Since the columns absorb the impact of a collision, the two pressure points on the wearer's chin are not directly impacted. The outer shell does not completely cover the foam member leaving the upper and lower edges of the foam member to extend beyond the edges of the shell.

Abstract: An efficient sweeping device has a handle with a gripping end and a sweeping end. The sweeping end has at least a first brush head and a second brush head. The two brush heads are disposed so that a) when the sweeping end is pressed firmly against a ground surface ends of bristles of each of the at least two brush heads contact the ground surface; and b) ends of the bristles on each broom head contact the ground surface, with ends of bristles on the first broom head being more distal from the gripping end than ends of bristles of the second broom head. The first broom head may be able to pivot away from the second broom head when the device is held relatively horizontally over the ground surface.

Abstract: A handheld cleaning implement of unitary body construction has a handle section which is connected to an angled cleaning head support section to which the cleaning head, having an element with an abrasive surface like a brush, or a sponge, or other common cleaning head, is connected. The handled section and cleaning head section intersect at an obtuse angle to one another, in order to more efficiently and ergonomically direct manual cleaning forces through the implement to the cleaning head. A ring-like bridge support member is positioned at the intersection of the handle and cleaning head sections. This bridge support member permits the insertion of one or two fingers of the user to thus assist in applying concentrated manual force through the implement to the cleaning head.

Abstract: A cleaning brush structure comprises an outer sheath mounted to the outer side of an inner sheath, and an actuating body wherein the outer sheath has an elongated positioning slot communicating with an insert hole of the inner sheath for the engagement of an insert portion of the actuating body therewith. Both inner longitudinal edges of the positioning slot thereof has protrusive points and concaved points alternatively arranged in a symmetrical manner thereon to form narrower restraining space and wider accommodation space for stable location of a positioning section of the insert portion to provide a stepwise adjustment effect thereby. The actuating body also has a guiding push plate of various pattern attached thereto, and depending on the depth and area of the article to be cleaned, the inner sheath can be adjusted stepwise to ensure an accurate extension of a brush body released for the cleaning operation thereof.

Abstract: A cleaning swab is for wet or dry use. The swab includes a handle defining a longitudinal axis. The handle is elongated and has a cleaning head end having a tip, and a grasping end. A cleaning head is mounted to the handle. The cleaning head is formed from a strip of material having an inner surface and an outer surface. The material is affixed to the handle at the inner surface, and extends along the handle, over the tip and along an opposite side of the handle. The head defines a loop at the handle tip spaced from the tip. The strip of material extends along the handle to define major cleaning surfaces and the loop defines an inner annular cleaning surface.

Abstract: The disclosed cleaning device has a suction unit that can be used to take in liquid, a tank that can be used to hold the liquid, a mouth that can be used to pour liquid from the tank, and wheels that form a base. It also has a pivot that can be used to rotate the tank between a normal use position and a pouring position. The pivot is arranged so that in the pouring position, the center of gravity of the unit remains within the horizontal range of the base, even as the mouth of the tank falls outside the horizontal range of the base. As shown, the pivot is 12 inches above the floor and within the horizontal range of the base. In this position, it remains laterally between the center of gravity of the tank and the edge of the base when the tank is emptied.

Abstract: The present invention is a breakaway mounting bracket assembly for a wiper system that displaces components of the wiper system below the impact line of a vehicle in the event of, for example, a vehicle-pedestrian impact. The assembly includes a mounting bracket and a grommet removably attached to the mounting bracket. The assembly also includes a ferrule disposed within the grommet that includes a column having an internal passage and a platform connected to the column. The assembly also includes an attachment member to connect the mounting bracket to the vehicle where the attachment member includes a body engaged to the internal passage. The platform breaks away from the column in the event of a predetermined load acting on the pivot shaft assembly, which disconnects the grommet from the ferrule and thereby displaces the pivot shaft assembly and a portion of a wiper arm below the impact line of a vehicle.
