Abstract: An impact attenuating chin protector comprises a hard outer shell with a narrowed central area to better dissipate impact forces and an inner foam member. The foam member includes a series of alternating foam columns and recesses with perforations at controlled locations to provide additional force dissipation, improved ventilation, and protection from the edges of the hard outer shell. The interior surface of the foam member is configured so that almost the entire interior surface contacts the wearer's chin except for the perforations. The columns and recesses are configured so that recesses are located around two pressure points on the chin. Since the columns absorb the impact of a collision, the two pressure points on the wearer's chin are not directly impacted. The outer shell does not completely cover the foam member leaving the upper and lower edges of the foam member to extend beyond the edges of the shell.

As a leg protector, the protective device includes a knee portion, a first thigh portion, and a second thigh portion. The knee portion, the first thigh portion, and the second thigh portion are secured relative to each other with at least one flexible strap that is attached to the knee portion, attached to the elastic member of the first thigh portion, and attached to the second thigh portion. The strap is unattached to the first thigh portion. In some embodiments, the first thigh portion does not include a restraint for securing the leg protector to the leg.

Abstract: An improved necktie is disclosed, which allows for the storage and of eyeglasses and/or cell phones using the improvement necktie. The necktie comprises two strap portions, which may secure eyeglasses through the use of a hole defined through a portion or all of a strap portion, and through which the earpiece of eyeglasses is able to be inserted. When the earpiece is folded against the frame portion of the eyeglasses, it will be secured against strap portion which the earpiece passes through. The hole may be defined only in the first strap portion, but may also be defined through the rear strap portion, so the earpiece is inserted through a hole in both the front strap portion and the rear strap portion. In this configuration, the rear strap portion should have multiple holes defined along its length. Also, a pocket may be provided so as to secure a cell phone to the tie during wear.

Abstract: Shoes with wheel spinners are disclosed. The shoes are fabricated with circular indicia that look like the wheels from a car. The wheels have spokes or other similar wheel emblems that turn or spin while the person is walking and or standing. Sensors located within the shoes turn the motion of the wheels on and off. A switch located on the shoe sets the rotational direction of the show or each wheel located on the shoe. Each shoe contains as few as one wheel to as many as four or more. Lights are present on one or more of the wheels to identify motion of the spinners. The lights can turn in the same or different direction as the spinners. The spinners can be entirely made with lighted bars that illuminate in order around the central hub of the wheel to simulate the spinner turning.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a treatment apparatus for excrement of a rest room wherein sludge is able to be separated and incinerated via a simplified process without a vacuum drying of excrement that is transferred from a storage tank, whereby continuous treatment of excrement is possible, resulting in an increase in excrement treatment efficiency and capacity while achieving a reduction in maintenance costs. Also, in the present invention, water contained in excrement is able to be purified with a high efficiency, whereby the purified water can be reused as wash water of a toilet or directly drained without a separate post-treatment.

Abstract: The foam toilet seat cover is a reusable cover used to shield a person from contamination present on a toilet seat. The seat cover is made of a foamed material. The upper and lower surfaces of the seat cover are sealed to prevent the absorption of contamination into the foamed material. In use, the lower surface of the cover is deposed on the surface of a toilet seat. An annular opening in the seat cover allows access to the bowl of the toilet through the seat cover. The lower surface has an anti-slip pattern to keep the seat cover in position on the toilet seat. The upper surface has an identifying marking so enabling the user to consistently discriminate between the upper and lower surfaces of the cover. The toilet seat cover is made of a cleanable material resistant to cleaning agents used to sanitize the cover.

Abstract: This invention is directed towards a patient single surface system, PS3, which is a next generation system solution for patient accommodation, diagnosis, treatment, transfer and transport. PS3 provides a single surface for the patient to remain on from the trauma site through diagnosis, treatment and convalescence. Needs addressed by the PS3 system include improved patient treatment through reduction in time to treatment, reduced or eliminated unnecessary patient movement and injury, as well as improved comfort throughout treatment and convalescence. In addition, the PS3 system solves significant economic considerations.

Abstract: A wheelchair transfer device is configured for moving an invalid patient from a flat surface to a seated position for transport in the seated position on the transfer device. The transfer device includes a rolling base supported by casters and convertible low profile rollers that are configured to fit under the base of a hospital bed and convert to a larger diameter wheel without altering the height of the transfer device. The transfer device includes a leg portion, a torso portion and a seat portion configured to be coplanar for adaptation to a hospital bed, so that an invalid patient can, with assistance, roll onto the device. The seat portion can then be raised against the patient's buttocks, generally perpendicular to the leg and torso portions, and the whole assembly can then be rotated to a vertical position, with the seat portion supporting the weight of the patient.

In operation, the wedge-shaped member moves one of the plates against a force of the spring to unseat the projections from the notches in an unlocked position allowing for rotation of the arm support in two directions.

Abstract: A cleaner is provided that includes a head having a base, which is configured to face a surface to be cleaned, and an intermediate connector detachably coupled to a bottom of the base at an upper surface of the intermediate connector. Further, the intermediate connector supports a cleaning member that is detachably coupled to a lower surface of the intermediate connector. Additionally, the cleaner also includes a first coupler to detachably couple the intermediate connector to the bottom of the base.
