Abstract: An improved heat transfer tube and a method of formation thereof. The inner surface of the tube is enhanced with a plurality of protrusions that reduce tube side resistance and improve overall heat transfer performance. The protrusions create additional paths for fluid flow within the tube and thereby enhance turbulence of heat transfer mediums flowing within the tube. This increases fluid mixing to reduce the boundary layer build-up of the fluid medium close to the inner surface of the tube, such build-up increasing the resistance and thereby impeding heat transfer. The protrusions also provide extra surface area for additional heat exchange. The method of this invention includes using a tool, which can easily be added to existing manufacturing equipment, having a cutting edge to cut through ridges on the inner surface of the tube to create ridge layers and a lifting edge to lift the ridge layers to form the protrusions.

The embedded thin film resistors are formed using a resistor layer built in the printed circuit board. Abstract: A method is provided to control the height of bump electrodes and increase a clearance between edge sections of a semiconductor chip and lead terminals of a tape substrate. By pushing up on a tape substrate by a bonding stage, and applying suction to the tape substrate through a suction groove, boundary portions of a semiconductor chip mounting region are drawn into the suction groove, and curved sections are formed in the tape substrate at locations corresponding to edge sections of a semiconductor chip and inclined sections disposed in outer circumference sections of the curved sections are formed in the tape substrate.

Abstract: A printed wiring board having a through hole conductor formed on the surface of a through hole formed in a copper-clad laminate board, and on the surface of the copper-clad laminate board 1 in the vicinity of an opening of the through hole. The through hole conductor is filled with a positive photosensitive resin. A capped conductor is formed on the positive photosensitive resin and is coupled to the through hole conductor. Further, a circuit pattern is formed on the surface of the copper-clad laminate board. An insulating layer is formed on the surface of the copper-clad laminate board, capped conductor, and the circuit pattern, and formed with a via hole extending from the surface of the insulating layer to the capped conductor. A via conductor is formed inside the via hole and on the surface of the insulating layer in the vicinity of an opening of the via hole.

Abstract: In a water block and its manufacturing method, a porous microchannel structure adopts a first casing and a second casing to form a water block. Water inlet and outlet pipes are extended from both ends of the first casing respectively. The second casing has a porous microchannel structure made by sintering a heat conducting powder and formed on an internal side of the second casing. The second casing has a contact surface on its external side for absorbing and conducting a heat source to the porous microchannel structure, such that a coolant can flow from the water inlet pipe into the water block. The porous microchannel structure produces turbulent flows to the coolant, so as to extend the staying time of the coolant in the water block, and allow the coolant to fully exchange heat with the porous microchannel structure and flow out from the water outlet pipe.
