Abstract: A method of producing a pagewidth inkjet printhead to have structures of a plurality of nozzle openings defined through a single surface layer is provided In the method, the structures are formed in-situ on a substrate having heater elements for heating ink so that the surface layer has a thickness of ten microns or less and so that each nozzle opening is defined as a hole through the surface layer in association with at least one of the heater elements, and the structures are arranged to extend across a pagewidth. The nozzle openings are formed so that gas bubbles in the ink formed by the heating causes ejection of drops of the ink through the nozzle openings in a predetermined direction with respect to the pagewidth.

Abstract: At present, the reposition of base plates in the electrochemical process, as a result of the rejection which takes place in the cathode stripping machine system, is carried out manually or using mechanical equipment, which implies a loss in the efficiency of the stripping system, high exposure to risk associated to the removal of plates and additional labor force being used to replace these plates to the productive processes. Due to the above, a robot system and a robotic method have been developed for the reposition and/or removal of base plates from cathode stripping machines.

Abstract: At present, the different electrometallurgical processes in which there are a lot of cathodes and/or base plates movement constantly requires transfer stations to pass from one chain to another, from one equipment to another or for a change in direction. At present, transfer stations are composed of hydraulic mechanisms with low availability and high maintenance costs. Due to the above, a robot system and method have been developed to move and guide the base plates and cathodes synchronized with different equipments or mechanisms replacing the current transfer stations. The robotic system is composed mainly by a robotic manipulator (1) of at least 5 degrees of freedom, and a gripping mechanism (2) which allows to take and release the base plates and/or cathodes according to a programmed logic.

The plurality of opposing retaining members may be arranged to retain a substantially rectangular transaction card having a first longitudinal axis in a first orientation with respect to the panel and to retain a substantially rectangular paper gift having a second longitudinal axis in a second orientation with respect to the panel, so that the orientation of the first longitudinal axis is substantially transverse to the second orientation of the second longitudinal axis. The paper gift may be, for example, paper monetary currency, a paper bank check, or a paper gift certificate. The transaction card may be, for example, a debit card, a credit card, a gift card, a prepaid phone card, a card containing a merchandise credit usable at a retail establishment.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for aiding in the alignment of a scope of a firearm. The apparatus includes a light generation device and a level indicator. The light generation device is attachable to the firearm and is for generating a reference beam. The reference beam may be a horizontal, vertical, or cross-hair line beam. When the level indicator indicates a level state, the reference beam generated by the light generation device is also level. Typically, the level reference beam is projected against a flat surface and is used as a reference to line up the crosshairs of a scope attached to the firearm.

Abstract: A gunsight reticle defines a system of dimensioned indicia spaced at specific separations to improve aiming accuracy of a gun. The indicia may include perpendicularly intersecting center vertical and center horizontal hairlines, and four (or more or less) horizontal range-marker lines disposed at specific angular separations below the horizontal hairline in bisected relationship with the center vertical hairline. Spacing of the range marker lines below the center horizontal hairline is proportional to bullet drop at selected ranges, depending upon ballistic characteristics of bullet used. Relative lengths of said range-marker bars on each side of the central vertical crosshair are proportional to a specific crosswind (say 10 mph) at target range reflected by respective range marker. The method involves employing this reticle to determine distance to target, and using distance thus determined to ascertain a precise aiming point on the reticle.
