Abstract: Means for driving bristle carrying shafts (21, 22) of a toothbrush comprise a four-lobed cam (33) which is driven by means of an electric motor (30). At opposite sides, the cam is contacted by rollers (34, 35), which are connected to the bristle carrying shafts through arms (25, 26). The rollers are pressed against the cam by means of a spring (27) interconnecting the arms. During operation, a rotation of the cam leads to opposite reciprocating displacements of the rollers. These displacements lead to opposite reciprocating rotations of the bristle carrying shafts about their longitudinal central axes, through the arms. Consequently, bristles which are arranged at an end of the bristle carrying shafts are rotated in opposite rotational directions, in a reciprocating manner. As the number of lobes of the cam is four, the bristles are rotated at a frequency which is four times the frequency at which the cam is rotated.

Abstract: A holding device for a breathing mask that is fastened to a protective helmet when in use includes a fastening hook connected to a flexible, length-adjustable tightening strap that is hooked into a receptacle on the protective helmet. Stop elements that are both frictionally engaged and in positive contact prevent the accidental release of the fastening hook together with the flexibility of the tightening strap that at the same time ensures an individually adjustable fit of the mask while sliding elements arranged at an offset to the stop elements ensure automatic optimum orientation of the tightening straps. The tightening strap and the fastening hook are coupled using a retainer piece molded to the tightening strap that is held in positive contact in the recess of a grip end connected with the fastening hook.

The film bulk acoustic resonator includes a substrate, a protection layer vapor-deposited on the substrate, a membrane vapor-deposited on the protection layer and at a predetermined distance from an upper side of the substrate, and a laminated resonance part vapor-deposited on the membrane. Further, the manufacturing method includes vapor-depositing a membrane on a substrate, forming protection layers on both sides of the membrane, vapor-depositing a laminated resonance part on the membrane, and forming an air gap by removing a part of the substrate disposed between the protection layers. Accordingly, the membrane can be formed in a simple structure and without stress, and the whole manufacturing process is simplified.

Abstract: A method of attachment for swage end-connector for high pressure reinforced flexible hose particularly suitable in the petrochemical and drilling industries for hoses is disclosed. Two connectors are discussed one for intermediate hose pressure burst ratings up to 12,500 psi and internal diameters up to 3½ inches and higher hose pressure burst ratings up to 18,750 psi and internal diameters up to 4 inches. Both embodiment connectors will withstand the rated burst pressure of the hose to which they are connected and will withstand a pump-off force that exceeds the burst pressure of the hose. That is, the hose will fail before the connector pops off the hose.
