  • Patent number: 7243605
Abstract: An auto-laundry conveyor of three-tier design using upper, lower and intermediate track rails with a narrow slot between them. Dollies are provided in an endless loop conveyor chain and each dolly comprises a combination of a center link, a pair of reversely similar tire engaging rollers, a pair of reversely similar track engaging rollers outboard of the tire engaging rollers and a pair of reversely similar stabilizing rollers outboard of the track engaging rollers. The stabilizing rollers are effectively larger in diameter; i.e., higher than the track engaging rollers so as to prevent rolling contact between the stabilizing rollers and the track surface and to receive the tread surface of an off-center tire and keep the tread surface from interfering with rolling movement of the track engaging rollers. The conveyor is manufactured in 10-foot lengths except for the entry and exit sections which are of lengths X and Y wherein X plus Y equals 10 feet.

  • Patent number: 7243627
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a variable valve timing apparatus including a driving motor between a crankshaft and a camshaft. The driving motor rotates synchronously with the camshaft when the valve timing apparatus is not in operation. A motor rotation sensor produces a motor rotation signal. When the engine rotation speed is below a reference speed, the driving motor is not energized. Under this condition, the rotation speed and the rotation direction of the engine are calculated based on the motor rotation signal in place of a crank rotation signal produced by a crank angle sensor. Further, the rotation stop position of the engine is calculated based on the motor rotation signal when the engine is stopped.

  • Patent number: 7243630
Abstract: A foot controlled engine start and stop system characterized by a control circuit arranged among an ignition switch, an ignition grounding circuit, a warm-up switch, a starter motor, an accelerator pedal, an alternator and an actuator to disengage the parking brake when the engine is started. The system controls automatic start and stop of the starter motor and engine by feeding back the output frequency of the alternator. When installed on an off-road utility vehicle, this system, will allow the operator to conveniently start and stop the engine by depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal. The system senses the engine speed by monitoring the frequency of the alternator output voltage and disables the starter circuit when the engine speed is at or above a level necessary to allow the engine to run without starter assistance. When the operator removes his/her foot from the accelerator pedal, the ignition circuit is grounded to stop the engine.

Abstract: A valve for a fuel tank includes an upper space or chamber communicating with a ventilation channel; a lower chamber disposed inside a fuel tank; a communicating part for communicating the upper space with the lower chamber; and a float body disposed inside the lower chamber for floating to block the communicating part from the lower chamber when fuel flows into the lower chamber. A space between an inner surface of the lower chamber and an outer surface of the float body becomes a flow channel for gas when the float body is in a lower position. A distance between the outer surface of the float body and the inner surface of the lower chamber is not uniform in a circumferential direction of the float body. A portion having a large distance functions as a main flow channel for gas.

  • Patent number: 7243644
Abstract: An individual-cylinder air-fuel ratio estimation model is designed so as to consider the mixing of gases exhausted from adjacent combustion cylinders, and a movement by which a mixed gas arrives at the position of an air-fuel ratio sensor, in order that influences ascribable to the intervals (combustion intervals) of the adjacent combustion cylinders may be reflected on the estimation values of individual-cylinder air-fuel ratios. In evaluating the mixing of the gases which are exhausted from the adjacent combustion cylinders, there are considered the lengths and shapes of the exhaust manifolds of the respective combustion cylinders. In evaluating the movement by which the mixed gas arrives at the position of the air-fuel ratio sensor, there are considered a distance or volume from the confluence to the position of the air-fuel ratio sensor, and the exhaust gas quantities of the respective combustion cylinders.

Abstract: An anesthesia delivery device can be coupled to a ventilation system. The device includes an inspiratory gas line having a machine end and a patient end. The machine end can be fluidly coupled to the ventilation system, and the patient end can be received within the naris of the patient. A face mask having a dome portion can cover the patient's nose without covering the patient's mouth and defines an inside air space between the patient's nose and the dome portion, and an outside air space exterior of the dome portion. A vent allows gas to pass between the inside and outside air spaces. An exhaust port can be fluidly coupled to the exhaust gas output. The exhaust port and vent can cooperatively exert a negative pressure on the outside air space for preventing inspiratory gas from entering the outside air space.
