  • Patent number: 7258569
Abstract: Described are an apparatus and method for blind mating electrical connectors. A connector-alignment collar includes a frame with a multi-sided base portion. The sides of the base portion define an area within which to receive a connector closely. A guide cantilever extends substantially perpendicularly from the base portion at a first side of the frame, and an alignment cantilever extends substantially perpendicularly from the base portion at a second side of the frame opposite the first side. The connector-alignment collar is placed around a first electrical connector on a first circuit board. The alignment cantilever is inserted into an alignment hole in the second circuit board while a guide notch in an edge of the second circuit board is urged against the guide cantilever. • Patent number: 7258577
Abstract: The present invention provides a thin connector in which contacts to be brought into contact with terminals of a memory card are less liable to be deformed when the connector is assembled or an external force is exerted on the connector. The contacts (4) are located at a lower level than upper surfaces of protective projections (3a), and distal ends of the contacts (4) are located at a higher level than lower surfaces of the protective projections (3a). This prevents the deformation of the contacts, and allows the connector to have a smaller thickness. Further, the contacts are located at a lower level than the upper surfaces of the protective projections when the protective projections are deformed to be brought into contact with bottom portions of recesses of the memory card. Thus, the contacts are less liable to be deformed by an external force.

  • Patent number: 7258609
Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanical display and indication for gaming devices. The display includes a set of symbols or indicia. The displays also cooperate with a plurality of radially spaced apart translating indicators, such as arrows. The indicators translate radially and sequentially, each pointing at one point towards a respective, associated symbol. The player can see each symbol and thus is able to know which symbols are relatively better than others. The radially translating indicators provide a random, visual element to the outcome, wherein the player watches the indicators sequentially point to different symbols until the motion stops, leaving a single or multiple indicated symbol(s), which is(are) provided in some fashion to the player.

  • Patent number: 7258614
Abstract: A mechanism is disclosed for engaging in interactive photo gaming with user ratification. The mechanism can be used to provide a picture-tag game or other games. In a picture-tag game, for instance, a user designated as “IT” tags another user by capturing a photo of the other user. The photo is then transmitted to a game host, which distributes it to the participating players' devices. Upon receipt of the photo, a device presents the photo and prompts a user to acknowledge that the photo represents the user, i.e., that the user has been tagged. The device then sends the acknowledgement to the game host, and the game host notifies the players who is now designated as IT.
