Abstract: An apparatus for error compensation of a self calibrating current source adapted for compensating errors of at least one self calibrating current source. The compensation apparatus includes an imitative self calibrating current source, a current source reference apparatus and an error compensation apparatus. The imitative self calibrating current source is used to simulate the structure of the self calibrating current source to generate an error bias signal as the error of the self calibrating current source. The current source reference apparatus is used to generate an ideal bias signal. The error compensation apparatus generates a compensation bias signal to compensate errors of the self calibrating current source according to the difference of the error bias signal and the ideal bias signal.

Abstract: An apparatus and method allow receivers to quickly acquire a pseudorandom noise signal. A receiver advantageously detects frequency shifts using a compact parallel process hardware implementation of a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). The simultaneous detection of multiple frequencies allows the receiver to search the frequency range of the transmitted signal in larger increments of frequency, thereby increasing the speed of acquisition. One receiver does not use coherent integration before computation of the transform and advantageously maintains a flat frequency response. The flat frequency response of the DFT circuit enables searching of multiple frequency offsets without CPU intensive processing to compensate for frequency response variations. A receiver can include a Doppler correction circuit, which permits correlation data with frequency shift in the code to be non-coherently integrated among relatively fewer addresses or tap positions in memory.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an image display device that includes a display screen where subpixels emitting colored light of each color are arranged cyclically so as to repeat every predetermined display pixel pitch at least in a predetermined rotation arrangement direction and displays images on the display screen. The image display device displays images based on image data having a resolution higher than a resolution determined by the display pixel pitch after minimizing color differences from colors expressed by the image data. A weighting operation is performed which corresponds to a state where each data point is arranged not to overlap with the center of each subpixel to calculate data corresponding to each subpixel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of driving a plasma display panel that is adaptive for making a stable operation at both a low temperature and a high temperature. In the apparatus, a scan driver supplies a rising ramp waveform in a set-up interval and a falling ramp waveform in a set-down interval. A temperature sensor senses a driving temperature of the panel to generate a bit control signal. A set-down control signal generator generates a control signal such that an application time of the falling ramp waveform can be controlled in correspondence with said bit control signal and for applying the control signal to the scan driver.

Abstract: A self-contained electroluminescent (EL) wire display device is presented for displaying different types of user-configurable information. Generally, the device includes a display module which contains an array of pegs located within a viewable window. Individual segments of EL wire are routed by a user through the array of pegs into a desired pattern. The edges of the display module are framed by hinged border strips. EL wire connectors are located along these edges underneath the border strips. A control module is included inside the display module which supplies an independent electrical signal to each connector. These signals cause the EL wires to emit light in a prescribed brightness and timing pattern according to the settings of various user controls located on the periphery of the display module. These controls allow the user to select from different display modes and adjust the overall sensitivity and brightness of the display module.
