  • Patent number: 7275869
Abstract: An inner bag for a transport tank is constituted of a doubled tubular film in which a tubular film is inserted into another one. An inner bag supply-discharge opening is thermally welded to an attachment hole formed in the doubled tubular film. When thermally welding one end of the doubled tubular film, a reinforcing film is put on a two-layered portion constituted only of an outer tubular film, so that the two-layered portion has the same thickness as a four-layered portion constituted of the outer and inner tubular films. Thereby, the whole thermal welding line has approximately uniform thickness such that the thinner portion dose not exist. This will prevent the deterioration in sealing property, strength and durability of the thermal welding line caused by rubbing of the thinner portion during transporting and or the application of welding energy to the thinner portion.

  • Patent number: 7275870
Abstract: The length of the bearing surface in the movable portion which moves linearly is larger than the length of the bearing surface in the fixed portion by the stroke of the movement. With this configuration, the bearing surface on the side of the fixed portion always opposes the bearing surface on the side of the movable portion. An air supply source is connected to the fixed portion, and a plurality of air discharge openings through which air is injected are disposed in the bearing surface of the fixed portion to constitute an air bearing. Only the side of the movable portion where the fixed portion is inserted is open. A coil is disposed on the fixed portion and a magnet is disposed on the movable portion so that a linear motor is constituted, thus providing a linear driving device. Cables and the like for supplying compressed air or power are connected to the fixed portion, not to the movable portion, thus no external pressure is applied from the cable and the like, and highly accurate operation is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7275889
Abstract: A pursuit vehicle carries a projectile housed within a launcher mounted on its front end. The projectile is able to be directed at high speed from the launcher toward a tire of a pursued vehicle. A tether line is coiled about a tether reel within the chase vehicle and is fixed to the projectile. The projectile has folded barbs that extend once the projectile has entered the tire and which keeps the projectile from flying out of the tire due to centripetal force. Being penetrated, the tire quickly looses pressure and deflates while the tether line wraps itself around the wheel's axle and brakes which can cause the wheel to stop spinning.

  • Patent number: 7275890
Abstract: A method of reconstructing a road is provided. This method includes taking representative cores of the road, analyzing the cores, selecting a substantially solvent-free emulsion based on climate history, mixing the emulsion and reclaimed asphalt pavement particles to form an asphalt emulsion mix, testing the asphalt emulsion mix for performance using a raveling test, a thermal cracking prediction test by an indirect tensile testing, a moisture susceptibility test utilizing vacuum saturation, and a dry Marshall stability test. It also includes designing a CIR layer based on this test data. It further includes grinding off a layer of the existing asphalt road leaving at least about an inch, adding an emulsion to the reclaimed asphalt pavement particles, applying the designed cold in-place recycling layer to the road, and compacting it.

  • Patent number: 7275891
Abstract: The apparatus may include a space frame on which is mounted at least one hydrofoil for generating positive or negative lift. The frame is attachable to underwater equipment such as a turbine. The hydrofoils are adapted to produce negative lift when a flow of liquid passes over them and so in use cause the apparatus and attached equipment to sink to the seabed. The flow of water over the hydrofoils continue to produce negative life and so maintain the apparatus on the seabed. In certain embodiments, the hydrofoils can typically be set to a passive configuration in which they flip over when the current flow changes direction. Furthermore, the hydrofoils are selectively rotatable to provide an angle of attack such that they may be adapted to provide positive lift when it is necessary to remove the apparatus from the water.

  • Patent number: 7275899
Abstract: Machining coolant/lubricant is used to operate a piston of a clamping-side coupler by feeding same via a coolant feed passage to a clamping pressure chamber through a first check valve and a clamping pressure fluid passage. The same coolant/lubricant is discharged from an unclamping pressure chamber through an unclamping pressure fluid passage and a second check valve. The resulting movement of the piston downwards brings a clamp member into contact with a workpiece to thereby clamp the workpiece on a table. Thus, a dedicated pressure source for clamping can be dispensed with.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an elevating mechanism, in particular to an elevating mechanism for routers, is configured for easy micro adjustment and coarse or macro adjustment. In an embodiment, a power tool includes a base configured to adjustably receive a motor housing for operating a working tool. A worm drive is pivotally coupled, in an eccentric configuration, to an eccentric lever. The eccentric lever is adjustably coupled to at least one of the housing or the base such that the eccentric lever is operable to cause the worm drive to be positioned into an engaged position with a rack assembly and a released position wherein the worm drive is remote from the rack assembly. The elevating mechanism is operable to permit rotational micro adjustment and macro manual adjustment wherein the worm drive is remote from the rack assembly for permitting coarse adjustment of the motor housing with respect to the base.
