Abstract: The invention relates to a method for guiding an automatic cleaning device for a surface submerged in a liquid. Changes in the device's inclination are detected; these changes correspond to its passage into a concave junction zone between two submerged surface portions (30 and 31) inclined relative to each other. Upon the condition that at least one change of the device's inclination is detected, a specific cleaning method for the junction zone is begun. The invention extends to a device making it possible to implement this method.

Abstract: A method for removing pipe tuberculation includes the initial step of preparing an access point in the existing pipe by digging to the pipe and sawing a section from the pipe or creating an access port. The section of the pipeline to have its tuberculation removed is isolated by closing valves or creating another access point and sealing the end. Then, a reaming tool is introduced to the interior of the pipe. The reaming tool is attached to a hollow rod string capable of producing moderate thrust and pullback force, and must also produce sufficient torque when rotated. A horizontal directional drilling or “HDD” machine on the surface or in a pit dug out for this purpose applies the aforementioned forces to the rod string.

  • Publication number: 20070272278
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning, rinsing and Marangoni drying substrates is provided. A line of fluid is sprayed along a substrate surface forming an air/fluid interface line, and a line of drying vapor is supplied to the interface line to achieve Marangoni drying. Thus, a large portion of the substrate is simultaneously dried. A preferred apparatus employs a tank of cleaning and/or rinsing fluid. Above the tank fluid a source of rinsing fluid directs rinsing fluid to the surface of a substrate forming a meniscus on the substrate surface as the substrate is lifted from the cleaning fluid, and a drying vapor source directs drying vapor to the meniscus. The drying vapor lowers the surface tension of the meniscus, inducing a Marangoni flow of rinsing fluid from the substrate's surface, and thereby drying the substrate. The cleaning fluid tank has a substrate receiving and cleaning portion and a substrate rinsing portion.

At least one discharge opening (31, 32) for a fluid is formed inside the groove and communicates with the interior of the vessel to be closed by the closure device. Both lateral arms (41, 42) of an elastically deformable clip (4) are forcibly inserted into the groove. At least one of these arms (41, 42) is provided with a seal (51, 52) which seals the fluid discharge opening (31, 32) in order to ensure a tight seal when the pressure difference between the interior of the vessel to be closed and the exterior environment is less than a first predetermined value, and which opens this opening when the pressure difference is greater than a second predetermined value.

Abstract: An example pressure regulator includes body having a pressure inlet and a pressure outlet. A piston is disposed in the body and fluidly coupled to the pressure inlet and the pressure outlet. The piston is configured to operate in compression to contact a valve seat for the purpose of controlling the flow of fluid from the pressure inlet to the pressure outlet in response to a pressure applied to a surface of the piston via the pressure control outlet.

Abstract: A valve arrangement for a vacuum pump assembly selectively opens and closes communication between a vacuum pump, evacuation vessel, and a volume to be evacuated. The valve arrangement allows the evacuation vessel and any conduit connecting the vacuum pump and evacuation vessel to the volume to first be evacuated without providing a vacuum to the volume. The valve arrangement also allows the volume to be connected to the evacuation vessel but cut-off from the vacuum pump so that at initial stages of the evacuation process for the volume dead air contained within the volume may be communicated to the evacuation vessel rather than drawn out by the vacuum pump. Once the dead air, or portions thereof, has been removed from the volume, the valve arrangement may cut-off communication with the evacuation vessel, establish communication between the vacuum pump and the volume, and allow the vacuum pump to provide negative air pressure to the volume so that the volume may be evacuated.

Abstract: A valve system for use in a system including a first source of a first pressurized fluid and a second source of a second pressurized fluid includes a valve housing including a first inlet port adapted to be placed in fluid connection with the first source, a second inlet port adapted to be placed in fluid connection with the second source and an outlet port. The valve system further includes a backflow prevention system to prevent flow of the first pressurized fluid through the second inlet and to prevent flow of the second pressurized fluid through the first inlet port. The valve system is adapted to provide a fluid path between at least the first inlet port and the outlet port to enable fluid to be drawn from the outlet port to the first inlet port. Several of the valve systems of the present invention provide for flow from the first inlet port to the outlet port and concurrent flow from the second inlet port to the outlet port.

Abstract: A faucet structure comprises a valve body having outlet sleeves, accommodating tubes, and inlet connecting pipes to be mounted between a panel equipped with a passage, bores, a clearance recess, and through holes, and a cover having a set of holes. The middle section of the valve body is disposed a connecting tube having a set of coupling ends each joined to one outlet sleeve, and an assembly section to fit to an outlet duct of a water supply seat. The valve body also has a water-flow control valve received into the accommodating tube to match to a handle seat with a grip attached thereto. The water supply seat formed by a set of upper and lower housings assembled to each other to enclose the outlet duct therein is mounted to the middle section of the panel thereon. Therefore, the present invention can achieve easy and flexible assembly thereby.

Abstract: A quick-dis/connect coupler including two coupler modules, male and female. Each includes a housing. At least one includes a stopcock valve. The housing bodies are configured such that, as they are engaged/disengaged, each automatically opens/closes the other's stopcock valve. The complete coupler may include seven or fewer components, with five or fewer skus among them. The coupler provides a straight-through, laminar fluid flow path with no dead zones and essentially zero occlusion, and has no springs or other such components inside the fluid flow. The coupler uses inexpensive injection molding and snap-fit components which are dual-latched. The valve-closing springs also provide positive eject force upon disengagement of the coupler.
