Abstract: A slide fastener slider, in which a pair of projecting portions are formed such that they project from shoulder mouth side end portions of a pair of flanges to a shoulder mouth side, the flanges being erected on both right and left sides of a lower plate. Each projecting portion is constituted of a stepped portion formed by extending from the shoulder mouth side end portion of each flange to the shoulder mouth side, and a downward slope formed from the stepped portion up to a top face of the lower plate. The pair of projecting portions allow an inclination of a leg portion of a fastener element to be returned to a substantially horizontal state, thereby preventing contact between a fastener tape and each flange to block breaking of threads in the fastener tape.

The apparatus and process produce a continuously moving welded tube by continuously forming and welding a tubing material, after which the welded tube is passed through a sizing station to establish a desired outer shape and desired outer dimensions for the welded tube. The braze alloy is then deposited on a roughened surface of the welded tube that is clean and free of oils and coolants. The braze alloy is deposited with a wire arc spray gun that heats a wire of a metallic material and causes the heated metallic material to travel in a direction transverse to the direction of tube travel and deposit on the roughened surface of the tube to form an adherent layer of the braze alloy. Finally, any bow in the welded tube is removed as the tube travels away from the spray gun.

Abstract: A glass cutter wheel includes a wheel body having a pair of inclined surfaces defining an annular cutting edge therebetween and extending obliquely radially inwardly from the cutting edge to the respective side surfaces of the wheel body. Each inclined surfaces is formed with ground lines that are spaced from the cutting edge by a distance of 2 to 100 ?m. Because the cutting edge penetrates into a glass material by a distance of 3 to 7 ?m without the need to form ribs on the cutting edge, the ground lines serve to form a large number of vertical cracks. This completely prevents discontinuous cutting lines and chipping of the glass material at intersections of cutting lines, and also serves to provide smooth cut surfaces, thereby increasing the breaking strength.

Abstract: A portable cutting-guidance apparatus is used with a portable, hand-holdable power saw (20) to make an angle-cut in an object at a variably selected angle. A positioning device (300) is positioned motionless against the object being cut. The saw (20) travels on and along a cutting-guide (100) in a straight line. The linear cutting-guide (100) is pivotally connected to the positioning device (300) about a pivot point (400). The linear cutting guide (100) can be adjustably fastened to the positioning means (300) at a variably selected angle. The positioning device (300) can be positioned and held against the object purely by the manual force of the user, which includes force with which the user pushes the power saw forwards along the cutting-guide to cut the object. The pivot point (400) is located a distance (y) away from the leading edge of the linear cutting-guide (100) to provide improved performance.

The system includes a spotting device having a transmitter, receiver, and display. The system includes a first marking device having a receiver, transmitter, and display. A processor is in data communication with at least one stationary device and the stationary device is in data communication with the first marking device and spotting device. These devices are able to determine, communicate, and display actual spotter device (ball) position, ideal spotter (ball) position, and marker position. Together, this enables a referee to spot a football and determine first down yardage without the traditional use of markers and chains. The spotter device may be placed adjacent the nose of a football and the display communicates if the ball should be moved forward or backward.
