A material code mapping agent compares the material code with at least one material code mapping table to identify corresponding computational component information associated with the material code.

Abstract: A method, system, and article of manufacture, wherein a plurality of references to a plurality of files corresponding to a plurality of devices are stored in a data structure implemented in a computational device, wherein the computational device is coupled to the plurality of devices via a network. Access is enabled to the data structure to a distributed application, wherein the distributed application uses a stored reference in the data structure to determine a file corresponding to a device, and wherein the distributed application performs data transfer operations with the device via the determined file.

Abstract: Database users can extend the database schema and associated taxonomy without requiring use of a database administration view. A system includes a server computer for communicating with users of the system, a taxonomy database for storing records having attributes and values forming the taxonomy, and a taxonomy engine for enabling the addition by users of attributes and values associated with nodes in the taxonomy database. A record is displayed to a user, for example as the result of a database search. The user indicates that she wishes to extend the database schema and add to the taxonomy, supplying the new attribute and value. The supplied attribute and value are received by the server and provided to the taxonomy engine. The taxonomy engine adds the new attribute to the schema and associates the supplied value with the attribute for the record in which the request originated.

Abstract: A system and method for addressing a node in a tree-like data structure evaluates a relative path expression of a node from one or more marker nodes. In one aspect, a single path expression is determined from a nearby marker node. In another aspect, multiple path expression are determined and resolved to a single path expression. In yet another aspect, the method and system of the present disclosure assign unique identifiers to a subset of nodes in the tree data structure.

Abstract: A reverse engineering support system is provided which has a high abstract degree of an analysis target system and supports high level understanding. The reverse engineering support system stores a physical model which is a graph having as vertexes a program and input/output physical data, a business model which is a graph having as vertexes a business function and input/output logical data and an association model which is an association table indicating association of the business function with the program function and association of the logical data with the physical data, calculates a subgraph corresponding to the business function specified by a user by analyzing the corresponding physical model, displays a comparison with the subgraph of the physical model, and receives a modification order of the business and association models from the user.

Abstract: A method for classifying an incoming packet. The method includes maintaining a database associated with patterns of fields, where the fields can be network addresses. The database can be developed by mapping each pattern to a unique numeric identifier. The number of unique numeric identifiers is equal to the number of patterns, and the size of each unique numeric identifier is substantially smaller than the field of each pattern. The database can be further developed by determining a range of one or more of the unique numeric identifiers to be associated with each pattern. The range for each pattern can be bounded by a minimum unique numeric identifier and a maximum unique numeric identifier. The method also includes using a field of the incoming packet to determine an associated identifier for that field, where the associated identifier is equal to one of the unique numeric identifiers.

Abstract: A system and method for signaling and indicating track relationship information in media files. The present invention provides a mechanism for signaling the information of layered track groups and the information of MDC track groups, as well as a mechanism for signaling track relationship information in an efficient way. In local playback or unicast streaming applications, to select an independently decodable track for a certain media type, the information of alternate track groups is first found via the track relation box, and one track is selected from an alternate track group for the media type. If stream switching is desired, the switching track group information is found via the track relation box. In multicast applications with scalable or MDC streams, the tracks in a layered or MDC group are found via the track relation box and selected among all the layered or MDC groups.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods of processing contact records are provided. A user may merge and unmerge contact records to control which records are synchronized with each other. Identity claims of records may be compared to identify possible duplicate records. Identity claims may include addresses, phone numbers, instant messenger addresses or other contact data that is likely to be uniquely associated with a contact. When possible duplicate contact records are found, a dialog box is displayed that identifies the possible duplicate records and includes an option for merging the possible duplicate contact records.

Using a DAT system, a programmer can test the communication interfaces of a thread via a scripting program, any COM-compliant program, or a graphical test utility. The DAT system automatically formats a block of data that is transmitted between the embedded computer and a host computer and accounts for machine specific enumeration sizes, machine specific pointer sizes, machine specific structure alignment boundaries, machine specific integer sizes, and machine specific byte ordering.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an enterprise solution framework is provided. A configuration segment is provided for specifying a configuration of an enterprise. The configuration segment includes a system for centrally managing core enterprise reference data, including: (1) a centralized master repository containing the reference data; (2) an internal services framework providing internal services for managing the reference data, the internal services having direct access to the reference data for management purposes; and (3) an infrastructure services layer providing bulk: data transfers of reference data between the repository and external operational systems according to enterprise-level business workflows, the external operational systems being permitted indirect access to the reference data for operational purposes. Abstract: A medication dose calculator and method for comparing an inputted, ordered medication dosage with a known medication dosage range in a database including an input device for inputting a desired drug name, indicating whether the drug is for a child or an adult, an amount of the drugs that are ordered, the body weight or body surface of the patient, and a computing mechanism for determining the dose of the drug to be delivered. The medication dose calculator provides warnings when the inputted amount of drug exceeds the dosage range limits or is incorrect. The medication dose calculator converts an inputted drug unit of measure into a desired unit of measure. In addition, various methods for receiving, recording, storing, transmitting, transferring, and editing information along with various processes utilizing the medication dose calculator are disclosed.

Abstract: A system and method for providing computerized, knowledge-based medical diagnostic advice. The medical advice is provided to the general public over a network, such as a telephone network with the use of a telephone or the Internet with the use of an Internet access device. Alternatively, the medical advice can be provided to a patient in a stand-alone mode by use of a computer. The invention utilizes a list-based processing method of generating and executing diagnostic scripts. For the purpose of diagnosing a health problem of a patient, medical knowledge is organized into a list of the diseases to be considered. Each disease on the disease list includes a list of symptoms that is checked in a patient. Each symptom on the symptom list is then further described as a response to a list of one or more questions asked of the patient about the symptom. This triply-nested list structure is converted by suitable data structure transformations into a script that is stored.

Abstract: Files are divided into parts and at least some of the parts are transmitted to a client using a communication channel. At least some of the transmitted parts are cached locally. This allows subsequent streaming playback of the file while using less bandwidth by transmitting the part of the file that hasn't been cached, and combining the cached parts with the transmitted parts. In some embodiments, files may be represented at a low quality level by a first data set, and at higher quality levels with additional data sets. Data sets are cached locally, so that during subsequent streaming playback of the file, the quality level of the playback may be improved by sending additional data sets using bandwidth that would otherwise be dedicated to transmitting the cached data sets.

A single shared copy of the message is stored, and a reference message, which refers to the shared message, is provided to the addressed recipients. When no reference messages remain, the shared message is also deleted. A record of recipients authorized to access the shared message is also maintained, and updated as recipients delete their reference messages.

Abstract: The schema framework of the present invention is a set of rules and best practices that a user follows when creating schema in accordance with the present invention. By following these rules, schema are produced that can be used, reused, and managed in a distributed computing environment, thus reducing the time and effort associated with creating instance documents. Certain rules govern the content and format of the schema namespaces. Each schema namespace includes a category identifier that identifies a category to which the schema associated with the namespace relates. Once an instance document has been published by storing it in a schema repository, the schema and the namespace associated with that schema are “frozen” and cannot be changed. Abstract: A system and method for providing online storage and security. Digital assets are sent from client applications to server applications. The server implements an algorithm that optimizes the storage of digital assets. The server extracts the meta-data from digital assets and stores the meta-data in a relational database. The storage of digital assets will depend on analyzing the meta-data; factors such as file type, frequency of usage, and frequency of access are considered by the storage destination optimizing algorithm. The server also implements an algorithm that protects the digital assets from unauthorized network access. Upon detection of network intrusion by the security algorithm, the digital assets of the compromised users will be frozen, then either be destroyed or render unreadable by the unauthorized user. The security algorithm may then send an instance of the digitals assets to the compromised user to ensure that the digital assets remain accessible.

The filesystem software is executable to organize files on the data storage device in storage areas having different logical storage block sizes that are dependent on file type. In one implementation, the filesystem software is executable to generate a hole map associated with the data storage device. The hole map comprises data indicative of a logical storage block size for each of a plurality of storage areas of the data storage device and, optionally, data indicative of a degree of usage for each of the plurality of storage areas. Abstract: An approach is provided for reducing latency in fast Fourier transformation (FFT) related systems, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In a first processing direction, an interleaving processing is performed to obtain an interleaved data sequence which is then subjected to an inverse fast Fourier transformation processing, wherein the interleaving processing comprises a bit re-ordering processing of the inverse fast Fourier transformation processing. In an opposite second processing direction, a fast Fourier transformation processing is performed with a bit-reversed output data sequence which is then subjected to a de-interleaving processing, wherein the de-interleaving processing comprises a bit re-ordering processing required for re-ordering said bit-reversed output data sequence. The combined interleaving/de-interleaving and reordering processing leads to a reduced latency and saves memory space.

More specifically, one or more applications may share an extension of a switch among each other. A first application sharing the extension with a second application may be provided as a backup to the second application in case the second application fails. Thus, the second application does not represent a single point of failure for the overall system.
