Publication number: 20080054043Abstract: A portable reciprocal action power tool, which provides force to striking means (20) to move nails (26) or other components into a substrate in a reciprocating manner. A component (26) is held by jaws (22) provided on the power tool, which release the component (26) as the user pushes the tool against the substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2005Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventor: Gavin Beales

Publication number: 20080054045Abstract: A surgical stapling device is disclosed for performing circular anastomoses. The surgical stapling device includes a handle portion, an elongated body portion and a head portion including an anvil assembly and a shell assembly. The head portion includes an anvil assembly including a tiltable anvil which will tilt automatically after the device has been fired and unapproximated. The tiltable anvil provides a reduced anvil profile to reduce trauma during removal of the device after the anastomoses procedure has been performed. The stapling device includes a bulbous indicator which preferably extends above a top surface of the handle assembly of the device. The indicator includes indicia to identify to a surgeon that the device has been approximated and is in a fire-ready position. Preferably, the indicator includes a cover which is formed of a magnification material to prominently display the indicia. The anvil assembly of the stapling device preferably includes a retainer clip positioned on the anvil head.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2007Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Keith Milliman, Bruce Jankowski, Douglas Cuny, Kevin Sniffin, Anthony Dato, Richard Gresham

Publication number: 20080054047Abstract: Microball delivery solutions for solder bumping are generally described. In this regard, according to one example embodiment, a microball delivery assembly includes a mask with at least two microball holder(s) to hold at least two different sizes of microball(s) that may correspond with at least two different-sized openings on a substrate, to provide simultaneous delivery of different-sized microballs upon a substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2006Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Houssam Jomaa, Ravi K. Publication number: 20080054048Abstract: A method of joining a microwave transparent component 36 to a host component 34 or 18 includes the steps of applying a Titanium-Tungsten (TiW) coating 44 to the microwave transparent component, applying a metal layer 46 over the TiW coating and brazing the microwave transparent component to the host. In a more detailed embodiment, the microwave transparent component is a ceramic component and the host component is a nonceramic component. In an even more detailed embodiment, the nonceramic component is made of a nickel base alloy and the metal layer is a nickel plating. A turbine engine component comprising a microwave nontransparent host 34 or 18 and a microwave transparent window 36 brazed to the host is also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2006Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Edward R.
