  • Patent number: 7344135
Abstract: A downstream edge of a first guide plate has a convex shape in a carrying direction such that a width thereof gradually reduces from both lateral sides toward the center. A central portion of the downstream edge is formed with a protrusion, a width of which becomes narrower in the carrying direction. An upstream edge of a second guide plate has a concave shape in a reverse direction to the carrying direction so as to correspond to the shape of the downstream edge of the first guide plate. A central portion of the upstream edge is formed with a cutout, a width of which becomes narrower in the carrying direction. The downstream edge of the first guide plate is adjacent to the upstream edge of the second guide plate, and the protrusion is adjacent to the cutout so as to enter thereinto.

  • Patent number: 7344147
Abstract: A locking device of a front fork with shock absorber and releasing pressure structure therewith, when users came across accidented terrain while riding and the buffering function of the front fork is turned off, the counterforce is transmitted to the front fork and exceeded the threshold value of the hydraulic oil, so that the damper and the plug piece move upwardly to compress the elastic member and the through holes of the damper are opened to make the hydraulic oil of the lower fork tube flow to the upper fork tube, thus the upper and lower fork tubes can be moved oppositely. When the counterforce is less than the minimum force of compressing the elastic member, the elastic member is pressed against the plug piece, and the damper can be repositioned and the through holes will be closed again.

Abstract: A friction grip fireplace tool comprising a rod or bar, having a hand grip on one end, and on the other end a resilient, unary, v-shaped open-jawed mouth to grip, lift and re-position logs in a fireplace. There are no moving parts, no hinges, or pivot points. The tool can be made of one solid piece of steel or material with similar properties of elasticity and fire resistance or can be fabricated from two or more parts. A log is held in place by friction, created by ridges within the open-jawed mouth of the tool and the spring effect of the open-jawed mouth being forced onto a log. The spring effect of the tool's mouth along with the friction effect of the ridges allow most burning logs to be completely lifted, held, and moved about safely.

  • Patent number: 7344173
Abstract: Removable handles for use with a cooking utensil. In the preferred embodiment of the present inventions, the cooking utensil is a griddle which is intended for use on a grill to provide for the frying of foods. The removable handles are easily put into or out of engagement with a griddle, and have downwardly extending legs which elevate and support the griddle when placed on a flat surface. It is intended that the handles be removed from the griddle during the period of time that the griddle is used for cooking, such that the handles and leg supports always remain cook. Thus, when the food is cooked, the griddle can be removed from the grill using the handles without the use of oven mitts. Furthermore, the griddle can be set on a flat surface for use as a serving platter. Because the legs will elevate the griddle, it is not necessary to use trivets to prevent heat damage to the surface.

  • Patent number: 7344174
Abstract: A gripping apparatus is provided that enables users to insert and remove optically read disks without touching them by hand. The apparatus comprises a hollow frame and a spring-loaded plunger with flexible hooks. When the plunger is pushed down out of the locked position, protrusions on the hooks are forced out of convex indentations and against the inner sides of the frame, compressing the hooks. The apparatus can then be inserted through the central hole in a disk. The user then releases the plunger, which is forced upward by a compressed spring so that the protrusions on the hooks fit back into the indentations. The hooks then expand outward so that the disk is held securely and may be removed from its storage case or a player. Reversing this operation allows a user to insert a disk into a storage case or player.

Abstract: A structure for attaching a weather strip for vehicle door sashes comprises a molded part having a sealing portion making elastic contact with a door opening edge of a body of a vehicle and providing sealing between the door and the body when the door is closed, and a base integrally molded with the sealing portion by attaching the molded part to the door panel using a locking screw screwed in a nut secured in the outside molding through the door panel. The base has an integrally molded eyelet-shaped resin insert having a low frictional coefficient for inserting a locking screw, and the resin insert has an annular groove at the flange that makes contact with the locking screw head in a smaller area, reducing frictional drag. The structure prevents the base from being twisted while the locking screw is screwed in, which otherwise impairs the appearance of the molded part.
