  • Patent number: 7344185
Abstract: A garnish assembly for an automotive pillar having a garnish dimensioned to cover the pillar and in which the garnish has a predetermined thickness and an elongated through slot. A spacer is disposed in the slot while a fastener extends through the spacer and is secured to the pillar. The spacer has a length at least as long as the predetermined thickness of the garnish and a cross-sectional shape smaller than the area of the slot so that the garnish is slidable relative to the spacer. The fastener may also be used to secure a handgrip to the pillar.

  • Patent number: 7344186
Abstract: An A-pillar structure on an automotive vehicle is manufactured from a formed tubular member that replaces the conventional inner and inner reinforcement members. The door opening panel is formed with conventional flanges that are welded or adhered to the tubular member to provide a conventional uniform surface against which the windshield and front door seals can be supported. The door opening panel flanges can be welded by one-sided welding techniques, such as laser stitch welding, to the tubular member. As an option, the movement of the front door seal from the ab flange to the front door can provide an opportunity to form the tubular member with a still larger cross-section for enhanced strength. The distance dimension spanning the opposing flanges to define the standard arc for maintaining binocular vision is retained while increasing the strength of the A-pillar due to the enlarged cross-sectional configuration provided by the tubular member.

  • Patent number: 7344206
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for degassing a hydraulic vehicle brake system that has an external-force service brake system and a muscle-powered auxiliary brake system. For the degassing, brake pressure buildup valves are opened, preferably successively, so that brake fluid flows through the brake pressure buildup valves, disconnection valves and a master cylinder and reaches a brake fluid reservoir. The brake fluid positively displaces any brake fluid containing gas from the vehicle brake system into the brake fluid reservoir, where gas bubbles can escape from the brake fluid. Compressibility of the brake fluid from gas bubbles is avoided.

Abstract: An ink-jet recovery device includes a rotation member, an ink absorbing member, a moving unit and a rotation unit. The rotation member is adapted to rotate on a predetermined rotation shaft. The ink absorbing member is arranged around the rotation shaft of the rotation member. The ink absorbing member can absorb ink from a tip of the nozzle member when abutted to the nozzle member. The nozzle member is provided in a recording head of an ink-jet recording apparatus and ejects ink toward a recording medium. The moving unit brings a part of the ink absorbing member into abutment with the nozzle member. The rotation unit rotates the rotation member on the rotation shaft to switch the part of the ink absorbing member to be brought into abutment with the nozzle member by the moving unit.

Abstract: A carriage, on which a recording head is mounted, and to which a moving unit is connected, reciprocates a recording area by the moving unit to perform recording by the recording head. In the carriage, a recording head mount part and a connection part to the moving unit are separately provided, and the mount part and the connection part are coupled by a coupling structure having a linear elastic member. Hereby, vibration from the moving unit is shielded in the division portion and is not transmitted to the recording head mount part. Therefore, recording accuracy of the recording head can be kept in a high state.

  • Patent number: 7344225
Abstract: A printing method includes: creating print data by rearranging an order in which pixel data are arranged; and based on the print data, alternately repeating a dot-forming process for forming, on a medium, a row of dots along a movement direction by ejecting ink from a plurality of nozzles which move in the movement direction and a carrying process for carrying the medium in a carrying direction with respect to the nozzles, to form rows of dots arranged in the carrying direction. In a case where normal printing for forming the rows of dots in a central portion of the medium is to be performed after upper-end printing, positions of the rows of dots to be formed by the nozzles during a certain dot-forming process performing the upper-end printing are stored in a table, a comparing process is performed, and matching positions are delated from the table.

The negative pressure material volume relative to a free ink chamber value can me made to be approximately one to one. Both chambers overlie an ink manifold/delivery port and are separated from the delivery port by a filter. Flow impedance of the cartridge is reduced, as a result, in any orientation of the cartridge. The filter may be separated from, or in contact with a negative pressure material. A cartridge lid is provided with a negative pressure material chamber which is suspended into the cartridge.
