Abstract: A device having a handheld device housing with a compartment formed therein, a substantially semicircular clip assembly for securely attaching thereby the device housing to an external cylindrical object such as stethoscope tubing, electric circuitry encased within the compartment, and at least one control unit formed on the device housing. The clip assembly may include a helical coil spring for biasing the substantially semicircular clip against the device housing. In the preferred embodiment, the electric circuitry may be of a digital alarming timer clock. The present invention also contemplates a method of advertising where multicolored advertising material may be disposed upon the device housing.

Abstract: A label and a label for a security seal are described. The label includes a flexible body with first and second portions connected to one another via a separable connection. A first adhesive is disposed on a rear surface of the first portion. A second adhesive is disposed on a rear surface of the second portion. First information is applied to the first portion. Second information is applied to the second portion. At least a portion of the first information is identical to a portion of the second information. Either the first portion or the second portion includes tamper-evident indicia such that attempted separation of either portion from a substrate, once affixed, exposes the tamper-evident indicia. The first adhesive is formulated to securely affix the first portion to a seal body. The second adhesive is formulated to securely affix the second portion to a document.

Abstract: A system for fastening the barrel (1) of a rifle with a replaceable barrel, the system consisting of a lock frame (2), into which the barrel socket (5) can be inserted into position and locked by a bolting device. The bolting device consists of a barrel block stop (4) provided at the top of the lock frame (2), a groove (6) in the barrel socket being insertable into the block stop when the barrel is clamped into locked position.

Abstract: A camera integrated firearm system replaces the original recoil spring and guide assembly of a firearm with a casing which includes a camera, a gunshot impact sensing and switching module, an image memory module, and output data ports. When the weapon is discharged, the sensing and switching module senses this discharge and immediately turns on the camera. The camera, utilizing ambient light plus the light generated by muzzle flash, i.e. the jet of fire exiting the barrel at the instant the bullet exits the weapon, takes and saves, in memory, a closely spaced sequential stream of digital photographs or, alternatively, video recordings. Using the data outputs, the images can then be downloaded for viewing.

Abstract: A weapon aiming system may utilize a laser diode and a reflective coating on an optical element to generate a red dot aim point for a shooter with a bright view to the target with minimal color distortion. The optical element may utilize an off-axis parabolic lens to reduce parallax to improve sighting accuracy. The weapon aiming system may utilize visible and infrared aim lasers that are coaligned to simplify boresighting of the weapon and to simplify target acquisition. The weapon aiming system may include a magnifier and a sight being disposed along a longitudinal rail of a weapon in a position with the close quarter combat sight being disposed between the magnifier and the weapon muzzle.

Abstract: The invention relates to an operating element adjusting the cross-hairs of a telescopic sight. The operating element is in the form of a rotating knob, arranged to rotate on the telescopic sight, whereby a rotation of the rotating knob adjusts the cross-hairs be means of an adjuster mechanism. The rotating knob comprises one or several index marks, by means of which one or more positions of the cross-hairs may be indexed. The one or several index element(s) is/are arranged in one or several recess(es) and may be displaced therein in the circumferential direction of the rotating knob. The index elements are furthermore coupled to the rotating knob in the recesses such as to be rotated with the rotating knob on a rotation of the same.

Abstract: A fishing device is shown with a number of advantages. A fishing line is not coupled to the device, thus providing ease of use, and improved casting ability. A vibration sensor is used to detect only fish. The vibration sensor can ignore extraneous motion such as waves, bait, etc. A fishing device is shown that provides multiple states of fish activity such as normal, currently striking, and missed strike. Further, a fish activity state can be transmitted to a remote device thus giving the fisherman more freedom to move about while the rod is left unattended.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to float devices useful for fishing that have flutes or ribs. The ribs can be generally oriented along a portion of the longitudinal axis of the apparatus in exemplary embodiments, though other configurations for the ribs are possible. The fluted ribs can be molded into the body of the float in exemplary embodiments. The fluted ribs can add stability to the float, helping the float track better, improving use in fast moving water, e.g., during trolling. Such fluted ribs can reduce a tendency of the float to spin in fast water. Additionally, bait can be added to the grooves created by the fluted ribs. The fluted ribs can also add volume to the float for a given weight or mass, which can improve the natural drifting of the float to better match the current speed of the surrounding water, mimicking natural bait.

For example, the inserts hold segmented lures within notched upright posts. In this regard, the inserts may be suitably structured to hold spinner bait lures, buzz bait lures, or other fishing lures with segmented bodies. Moreover, the inserts are interchangeable to facilitate a wider variety of uses for the tackle container.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide a method and apparatus for an organic insect extermination lamp, which continuously kills mosquitoes and other biting insects without the use of chemicals, pesticides or electrocution. The present organic insect extermination lamp has no detrimental effects on human health or the environment. The organic insect extermination lamp comprises a fixture having a power supply and a light source for attracting mosquitoes and other biting insects and at least one container for holding a natural exterminating substance, wherein the natural exterminating substance evaporates natural exterminating vapors for killing the mosquitoes and other biting insects. The natural exterminating substance may comprise any Allyl Sulfide emulsion or any other organic compound. An Allyl Sulfide emulsion may contain garlic oil, garlic paste, garlic emulsion, crushed fresh garlic, or other forms of natural killing compounds.

Abstract: A device for attracting and capturing or otherwise disabling insects includes a fan mechanism structured and arranged to provide an outflow of air out of the device to atmosphere, and to draw an inflow directed counter the outflow from atmosphere into the device, the outflow being substantially within the inflow outside of the device. The flow mechanism is also structured and arranged to provide an insect attractant in the outflow. The device can include mounting structure being adapted to position the device with the outflow directed in a substantially downward direction. The outflow attracts insects to the vicinity of the device, and the inflow urges the insects to enter the device. An insect disabling structure is arranged with the flow mechanism to capture or otherwise disable insects being urged into the device by the inflow.

Abstract: A process for producing a fuel composition from vegetable and/or animal oil comprises feeding the oil to a tubular reaction unit containing a catalyst comprising an acidic component and a metal component, feeding effluent from the tubular reaction unit to a vapor-liquid separator, and feeding a vapor phase separated from the effluent from the tubular reaction unit to an adiabatic reaction unit comprising the same catalyst as in the tubular reaction unit comprising an acidic component and a metal component. The produced fuel composition has acceptable lubricity and comprises a mixture of C12 to C18 or C14 to C18 paraffins having a ratio of iso to normal paraffins of 2 to 8 and less than 5 ppm sulfur.

Abstract: Provided herein is a diesel fuel additive composition comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles, optionally a manganese compound, a detergent, and a demulsifier. In one embodiment, the demulsifier has relatively low phosphorus concentration to thereby improve the solubility of the components and the thermal stability and clarity of the resulting diesel fuel. Also provided are methods for improving fuel economy, reducing smoke production, inhibiting deposition of sludge, and improved storage stability.

Abstract: A catalytic liquid fuel is described, including a liquid fuel added with at least one kind of catalytic ion or its salt to improve the oxidation activity thereof. The liquid fuel includes at least an organic liquid fuel or a reducing agent or their mixture. The oxidation activity of the fuel can be enhanced by adding an extremely low concentration of the catalytic ion or it salt. The catalytic liquid fuel also can overcome problems like low oxidation activity, surface poisoning and fading of catalysts.

The gate regulator includes a fluid cylinder with a cylinder pin that is received in an L-shaped slot on the gate. During controlled swinging closed, the cylinder pin is within one of the slots of the L-shaped slot. At the gate release position, the junction of the two slots is at the cylinder pin, which then has room to move freely in the other slot and release the slot from the cylinder pin.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatically sliding window without sash, comprising a frame body (1) having an upper slide groove and a lower slide groove formed therein, and an intelligent drive mechanism (3) being disposed at an upper portion of the frame body (1) and driving a window body to move horizontally. The window body includes a pane (2) and roller members (9) fixed to a lower edge portion of the pane (2), and the drive mechanism (3) is engaged to an upper edge portion of the pane (2). The area of the window according to the present invention allowing the sunlight to pass through is increased significantly compared to those windows in the art since each window body almost completely consists of glass. The closing and opening of the window body can be controlled more conveniently by utilizing an intelligently controlled transmission mechanism. The sealing of the window is improved since a bidirectional multiple sealing is applied between the groove and the pane or the panes.

Abstract: A reusable stair cover is described having a length of washable material for covering a number of stair treads and intervening risers. At least one tread-covering portion of the cover includes a non-slip finish for contacting with the stair tread. Alternatively, each tread-covering portion further includes means for accepting a rigid insert. In another alternative embodiment, the length of the tread-covering portion is approximately a minimum tread length, and the portions between the tread-covering portions is long enough so that the stair cover can cover a range of staircase geometries.

Abstract: A method for preventing clogs in a gutter assembly having a horizontal gutter with an end wall and a vertical leader connected to the gutter via a hole in a bottom of the gutter. The following steps are completed in the method: 1. removing the vertical leader from the gutter; 2. sealing the hole in the gutter; 3. removing the end wall of the gutter; 4. attaching a first end of a flexible tube to an end of the gutter where the end wall was removed so that water and debris flows through the gutter and into the flexible tube; and 5. attaching a second end of the flexible tube to the leader, so that water and debris from the flexible tube flows through the leader and out onto the ground.

Abstract: A debris removal apparatus for use in a gutter having a mounting plate with a hole defined therein, attached to the top of a gutter, a power source situated near the top of the mounting plate, a shaft, having a first end and a second end, and wherein the shaft is attached to the power source at the first end. Also provided is a hub attached to a second end of the shaft having a plurality of spokes or blades extending therefrom, whereby the spokes or blades are adapted to remove debris from the gutter to prevent clogging and flooding. The material also can be coated with a membrane on one or both sides to improve the elastic strength and wind- and water-resistance of the material to provide further protection. The fibers or fiber bundles also can be encased in a coating to prevent the fiber or fiber bundles from fraying, to prevent corrosion on metallic fibers, or to provide additional strength or flexibility to the material. The flexible hurricane shutter can be adapted to be secured directly to an exterior feature of a structure to cover an opening in the structure such as a window. Alternatively, the flexible hurricane shutter can be adapted to be secured to an extrusion extending from the exterior of a structure, either directly or by means of a keder and keder track.
