Abstract: A IC wafer is fabricated using a process of interest to have a plurality of FET devices with different channel lengths (Leff) form a plurality of channel length groups. The threshold voltage (VT) is measured of a statistical sample of the FET devices in each channel length group at two different drain-to-source voltage (VDS). The mean of VT is calculated for each channel length and each VDS. A slope coefficient ? relating VT to Leff is calculated at each VDS. The total variance of VT is calculated at each VDS. Two equations at each VDS, each relating the total variance of VT to the variance of VT with respect to dopant levels and the square of the slope coefficient ? times the variance of Leff, are solved simultaneously to obtain the variance of VT with respect to dopant levels and the variance of Leff.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to limit the number of possible phase ambiguity resolutions when taking measurements by means of satellite-aided positioning systems. Said aim is achieved by a method which allows the search sector to be better restricted. To this avail, information about the geometry of an antenna array is used for establishing restrictions for said antenna array. Said restrictions allow the search sector and thus the number of acceptable resolutions to be successively reduced. A restriction comprises the utilization of the connecting line between two antennas (A0, A1) that define a primary base line (S01). An additional, secondary base line (S0x) can be calculated by inventively parameterizing the degree of rotational freedom of said secondary base line (S0x) about the primary base line (S01) such that the process is accelerated.

Abstract: A compression technique compresses interaction data. The interaction data can include a matrix of interaction data used in solving an integral equation. For example, such a matrix of interaction data occurs in the moment method for solving problems in electromagnetics. The interaction data describes the interaction between a source and a tester. In one embodiment, a fast method provides a direct solution to a matrix equation using the compressed matrix. A factored form of this matrix, similar to the LU factorization, is found by operating on blocks or sub-matrices of this compressed matrix. These operations can be performed by existing machine-specific routines, such as optimized BLAS routines, allowing a computer to execute a reduced number of operations at a high speed per operation. This provides a greatly increased throughput, with reduced memory requirements.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for applying external clock and data patterns for TTP-LBIST. A simulation model for the logic under test is set up in a simulator. Next, a user sets up an external LBIST block, which comprises pre-verified internal clock and data pattern logic, and connects this block to the logic in the simulation model. The internal clock and data pattern logic provides the input patterns used in OPCG modes of LBIST. This internal clock and data pattern logic is already verified through the design effort. Therefore, the internal pattern generators become the external pattern generators in the simulation model. The external LBIST block applies the external clock and data patterns, and subsequently, the user receives and processes these output patterns to determine if the logic operates correctly.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for coding and decoding audio are disclosed. At least two transforms are applied on an audio signal, each with different transform periods for better resolutions at both low and high frequencies. The transform coefficients are selected and combined such that the data rate remains similar as a single transform. The transform coefficients may be coded with a fast lattice vector quantizer. The quantizer has a high rate quantizer and a low rate quantizer. The high rate quantizer includes a scheme to truncate the lattice. The low rate quantizer includes a table based searching method. The low rate quantizer may also include a table based indexing scheme. The high rate quantizer may further include Huffman coding for the quantization indices of transform coefficients to improve the quantizing/coding efficiency.

Abstract: During production, at least one audio signal is processed in order to derive instructions for channel reconfiguring it. The at least one audio signal and the instructions are stored or transmitted. During consumption, the at least one audio signal is channel reconfigured in accordance with the instructions. Channel reconfiguring includes upmixing, downmixing, and spatial reconfiguration. By determining the channel reconfiguration instructions during production, processing resources during consumption are reduced.

Abstract: A time authentication system provided can detect an alteration of the case, in which either of the speakers of a conversation makes the alteration, and can verify, in the case of no alteration, that a conversation voice has occurred at a time within a range. When a speaker #1 terminal (2) and a speaker #2 terminal (3), i.e., all the speakers of the conversation request a time authentication station server (1) for the issue of a unique background sound which is difficult for those other than the time authentication station server (1) to estimate beforehand, the time authentication station server (1) issues the background sound and an electronic verification, which is electronically signed by adding a time stamp to the hash of the background sound, to the speaker #1 terminal (2) and the speaker #2 terminal (3).

Abstract: An automatic system for temporal alignment between a music audio signal and lyrics is provided. The automatic system can prevent accuracy for temporal alignment from being lowered due to the influence of non-vocal sections. Alignment means of the system is provided with a phone model for singing voice that estimates phonemes corresponding to temporal-alignment features or features available for temporal alignment. The alignment means receives temporal-alignment features outputted from temporal-alignment feature extraction means, information on the vocal and non-vocal sections outputted from vocal section estimation means, and a phoneme network, and performs an alignment operation on condition that no phoneme exists at least in non-vocal sections.

Abstract: Quantized audio data may be represented by a codevector that is associated to a point of an outer shell of a rectangular truncated lattice. For indexing this codevector, number and positions of non-zero components of the codevector are determined. Moreover, signs of the non-zero components are determined. An index is then calculated by combining at least a term representing determined number and positions of non-zero components and a term representing determined signs of non-zero components. For converting the index into a codevector again, separate information on number and positions of non-zero components of a codevector and on signs of components of this codevector are extracted from the index again. The codevector is then assembled such that it complies with the extracted information on number and positions of the non-zero components and on signs of the non-zero components.

Abstract: An opinion system infers the opinion of a sentence of a product review based on a probability that the sentence contains certain sequences of parts of speech that are commonly used to express an opinion as indicated by the training data and the probabilities of the training data. When provided with the sentence, the opinion system identifies possible sequences of parts of speech of the sentence that are commonly used to express an opinion and the probability that the sequence is the correct sequence for the sentence. For each sequence, the opinion system then retrieves a probability derived from the training data that the sequence contains an opinion word that expresses an opinion. The opinion system then retrieves a probability from the training data that the opinion words of the sentence are used to express an opinion. The opinion system then combines the probabilities to generate an overall probability that the sentence with that sequence expresses an opinion.

Typically, placement of the particular frequency tone occurs on location(s) where the tone will have minimal impact on the existing soundtrack audio.
